Arrests  9/30/06  

     Karen Cruse of Hollow Rock was arrested on Hwy 77 for DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Tina Lowery of Dyers TN was arrested at Lakeview Manor for public intoxication.

     Phillip Mecerd of Crestview Circle was arrested by Sgt. Josh Frey on Friday and held with out bond on a warrant for rape.

Charles Cameron of McKenzie was stopped on Hwy 79 for DUI, evading arrest and speeding.

     Charles Pruett of Cowan St. was charged with domestic assault.

     Austin Chenewett, 18, Adam Pitner, and KC  Graves, 19, who was also cited on 9/24, were arrested at around 11:40pm  Thursday  for underage possession and consumption by Paris Police.

     John Simmons, Tracy Attway and Roger Robinsom were arrested by Paris officers after Kroger's reported a theft.  The 3 had each stolen a package of meat, each worth over $20, ran out of the store  setting off the alarms.  They ran to a waiting vehicle in Kroger's parking lot and were caught by Officer Hassell. 

Arrests  9/29/60

     Jessie Brinkley of Tanglewood Ln. was charged as a fugitive from justice out of KY. in General Sessions Court.

     Brooke West of Harrison Ln. was charged in General Sessions Court with Failure to appear.

     Sarah White of Blythe St. was held without bond for failure to appear to do a jail sentence.

     Cecil Burns of Old McKenzie Rd. was arrested in Springhill Cemetery for domestic assault.  The arrest occurred after he ran from the residence where he had held one of the residence at scissor point.  The officers responded to a 911 call from the home and tracked Burns down where he was found hiding in some tall grass.

     A flag pole and American flag were reported stolen from the Mansfield post office.

     A case of criminal littering was reported to the sheriff's office.  Trash and old furniture were found on Hamilton Rd.  No name was found among the trash. 

Arrests  9/28/06

     Charles Williams  of E. Washington St. was charged at the jail with introduction of a weapon into a penal institution.

     Kimberley Chrisp of Routon St. was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Tyree Ralls and Debra Webb, both of Dover were arrested in the parking lot of Eagle Food Store and charged with public intoxication.

     Tools, valued at over $1,000 were stolen from a building site in Buchanan.

     Theft of 2 pit bull puppies, valued at $150 each were stolen from  Palestine Rd.

 

Arrests  9/27/06

     On Sept. 25 members of the Henry County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division conducted a search of a Ben Smith Rd. residence where they received a tip that there was a marijuana growing operation inside the residence.  A search revealed that a bedroom of the home was being used to grow marijuana.  Found were grow lights, pipes, bongs, papers and a small amount of marijuana.   Arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia  were 19 year old KC Lynn Graves and 20 year old Adam Pitner.    

     Other arrests include Billy Buie of Guthrie Rd. for failure to appear.

     Teresa Becraid of Lone Oak Rd. was charged with 2 counts of child abuse and neglect.

     Raymond Fitzgerald of Cooper St. was charged with shoplifting and criminal impersonation.  The arrest occurred at E.W. James when Fitzgerald was caught  stealing a pack of cigarettes and then giving a false name to officers when they asked for ID, which he didn't have.

     The sheriff's office reported an attempted  phone scam .  The complainant stated that a phone call was received and the caller stated that the victim had won money.  They were to go to a bank and get $100 and then send it by Western Union to the caller.  He told the victim that the money would be delivered by 2 uniformed men and a police escort who would present a check of her winnings.  When Investigators called the number back and announced who they were the phone was hung up.  The same thing happened in following attempts to contact the caller.      

Arrests   9/26/06

     Thomas Prial of Memorial Dr. was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Charlie Nored of Whitlock Rd. was arrested on Sept. 22  for a 2nd driving on a revoked driver's license .  On Sept. 23rd he was held without bond for domestic assault.  

     Terry Roberts of Wynn St. was charged with public intoxication.

     Johnson Threat of Camden was charged with public intoxication.

     Jefferson Freeman of Hardy St. was arrested at Belmont Lodge and charged with aggravated domestic assault.

     Tab Green of Puryear was charged with filing a false report and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Sherry Davis of Morton St. was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Mary Webb of McKenzie was arrested on Sunday for public intoxication.

     Conniley Thomason of Murray was stopped on Hwy 641 and charged with DUI.

     Benjamin Underwood  of Jackson was charged with public intoxication.

     Robert Brewer of Big Sandy was arrested in the McDonald's parking lot for simple possession.

     Sara Wales of Boyce St. was arrested on a pick up mittimus.

     Joseph Gaskill of Alamo shilok Rd. was charged as a fugitive from justice.

     Brandon Medcalf of Boyce St. was held without bond on an attachment.

     Chris Puckett of N Market St. was charged with failure to appear.

     Theft of a computer system valued at $1,000, a TV, wedding rings  and a digital camera from a Hwy 69N residence.  The robbery was discovered when a neighbor saw the door of the residence open and knew the owners were out of town.

     A 16 foot hay trailer was stolen from Puryear Crossland Rd.

     A truck bed and auto parts were reported missing from Cypress Rd.

   A cattle trailer valued at $1500 was stolen from Hwy 140.

     A computer system was stolen from a residence on Hwy 79N.  Pry marks were found on the door and door frame.   

  

Arrests  9/23/06

     Toys, clothes and other household items were found scattered around the house and a storage building behind the house was broken into in Puryear.

     A dog shaped fountain  was found missing from the yard of a residence on Rice Ln.

     A car battery  and a logging chain were found missing from a vehicle parked in a fined on County Home Rd.  

 Mary Tayloe of Old Paris Murray Rd. was charged with failure to appear for a violation of the bad check law.

     Edward Ballard of Irvine St. was arrested for possession of a scheduled 2 drug with intent.

     Shanun Carter of India Rd. was charged with failure to appear.

     Brian Johnson of Holiday TN was held without bond for failure to appear.

Arrests  9/22/06

     On Sept. 19 the Metro Crime Unit conducted an investigation which led to the arrest of 39 year old Christopher McKennie of Henry Mansfield Rd.  He was charged with the unlawful sale of a scheduled  4  controlled substance from his vehicle to a subject while at a Paris car wash.  Officers observed the transaction and arrested McKennie.  A search of the vehicle was done in which officers located Valium, Xanax, a small amount of Marijuana and Meth as well as drug smoking paraphernalia.  McKennie's vehicle was seized as well.

       

Arrests  9/21/06

     Sonia Yoblonski of Jackson Dr. was arrested on an attachment.

     William Johnson of Green Valley Dr. was stopped on Fairground Rd and charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Rachael  Billington of Hidden Acres was cited into court for violation of the bad check law.

     A vehicle rolled over on New Boston Rd.  The victim was not trapped in the vehicle.  EMS responded to the accident. 

Arrests 9/20/06

Kelley Sanders of Henderson Drive was charged with theft of property over $500 .

     David Cook of Cook St. was arrested for public intoxication.

     Keith Bomar of Lee St. was held without bond for domestic assault at the Grove Park Apts. 

      Copper wiring  valued at $500 was reported striped from a building on Rison St.

     Vandalism to a vehicle at Bob's Auto Repair Shop on Hwy 54 was reported.  The vehicle owner stated that they had paid for transmission work in advance.  When they went to get the 1996 vehicle a rear panel was dented, tires were punctured and flat and the new battery was missing, replaced with an older one.    

 

Arrests 9/18/06

     On September 15 the newly formed Metro Crime Unit conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of 2 Henry Countians.  The investigation started when officers received information  of a suspicious package that was to be delivered .  Officers intercepted  the package and after a drug detection canine alerted them a  search warrant  for the package, that had been sent via a local package courier, was obtained.  The  package contained 4 lb.s of marijuana sent from Texas.  The Metro Crime Unit waited until the package was picked up and did a traffic stop on the vehicle.  Officers arrested William Bomar , 54, of  Swor Rd. and Zachary Pallay, 48, of Memorial Dr.  Both were charged with possession of Marijuana with intent o sell or deliver.  Bomar's 1993 Pontiac was seized as a result of transporting the marijuana,  Bomar's bond was set at $10,000.  Pallaay's at $5,000.   Both the Sheriff's office and the Paris Police Department were involved in the arrests.  The formation of the Metro Crime Unit last week was to unite and utilize officers from both forces, working together for a safer Paris and Henry County.

     In other arrests  Arlin Gates of Green Hills was charged with domestic assault.

     David Dean of Cottage Grove was arrested on Jones Bend Rd. for leaving the scene of an accident, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug.

     Randall Cinquest of McKenzie was arrested in the parking lot of Club Erotica for simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     Jeremiah Edleman of  Jackson TN was stopped in the parking lot of Mac's on 641N and charged with DUI.

     John York of Murray was arrested on Rabbit Creek Rd. for evading arrest.  York would not stop for officers.  At one point he laid the motorcycle he was riding on its  side and took off on foot between  2 structures.  A check of the bike showed it was stolen from Nashville.

     A chain saw and leaf blower were reported stolen from a storage unit in Buchanan.  The pad lock and the pad lock from another unit had been cut off. 

 The theft of a $600 diamond ring from a yard sale on Cypress Rd. was reported to the sheriff's office.  The victim stated she went inside and when she came back the ring was missing from the yard sale items.

    

Arrests  9/16/06

     Jacqueline  Elkins of Murray was arrested on Hwy 641 for DUI.  The arrest occurred after Elkins was observed crossing over the center line several time and speeding up then slowing down.

     Michael  Utley of Bruceton was arrested on a warrant in Carroll Co for violation of probation.

Arrests  9/15/06

     Phyllis Griffith of Dresden was arrested on Hwy 79 for DUI.

     James Wimber of Indian Mound was stopped on Wood St. for driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Jerry Paschall of John Lee Dr. was charged with public intoxication.

     Darrell Wynn of Camden was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Samuel Boyd of Cypress Rd. was arrested for failure to appear and theft of property.

     Darren Sturdivant of Elmore St. was arrested for burglary.

     Teresa Hayes of Nashville was charged with failure to appear.

     A theft of money was reported to the sheriff's office.  The victim  gave $660 to his girlfriend to make his bond but instead she used the  money buy crack cocaine on Irvine St.

     A home under construction was vandalized and $200 of electrical wiring was pulled from the house on HWY 77.

 

Arrest  9/14/06

     Michael Collier of Sioux Falls South Dakota was charged with theft of services.

     Deborah Gormley of Hollow Rock was charged with theft of property under $500.

     William Carter of Mansfield was charged with possession of a scheduled 2 drug with intent, possession of a scheduled 1 drug with intent, simple possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

   A burglary was reported on Brown Rd.  The back door had been kicked in.  Taken was a jewelry box containing an estimated $1,950 of jewelry and 8 play station games.

     A burglary was also reported  on Briarpatch Lake Rd.  Entry was made by removing a screen from a kitchen window and climbing in using a ladder.  Taken was a shotgun and a pistol, 40 CD's, a jewelry box and contents and foreign coins. 

Arrests  9/13/06

     Jason Hollingsworth of Buchanan was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Matthew Pinson of N. Brewer was arrested on an attachment.

     Cassie Offord of Old Union Loop was arrested on 5 warrants for forgery.

     Jeremy Taylor of Memorial Dr. was arrested for simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug, meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a legend drug.

    Theft of a 2 wheel utility trailer , valued at $55o was reported to the sheriff's office.  A problem with the hitch caused the owner to leave it on the side of Hwy 77 and Springhill Rd.  When he returned an hour later the trailer was gone.

     Theft of 50 to 60 DVD's , ID and a wallet containing $200 was reported on Shady Grove Rd.  Pry marks were found on the door of the home. 

Arrests  9/12/06

     The Henry County Sheriff's office reported continuing charges for Virgil Samuels Jr. of Hwy 77 in the Nov. case of April Sykes who was abducted, locked in the trunk of her car, which was set on fire.  Samuels is being held without bond on charges of aggravated rape,  rape, aggravated assault and kidnapping.  The continuing charges of Monday were filed by the TBI.

     Other arrests over the weekend included Jonathan Treece of Springville for DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Rachel Check of Nashville was arrested for DUI.

     Jerry McCurdy of Puryear was charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Aaron Teague of Reynoldsburg Rd. was charged with possession with intent to sell of manufacture.

     Michael Tayloe of Vaughn Rd. was arrested for simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     Gary Wiberly of Blythe St. was held without bond for failure to appear to do a jail sentence.

     John Deluca of Clifty Village was charged with DUI.

     Sara Yobloshski of Jackson Dr. was charged with failure to appear.

     Dearie Chenoweth of Old McKenzie Hwy was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Hope Baker of Old Paris Murray Rd. was charged with filing a false report.

     The arrest came when officers came to the residence looking for Gary Baker who was wanted for violation of probation.  He was found hiding under the bed after Hope denied knowing where he was.

     Paul Olive of Brown St. was charged with violation of probation.

     A break-in was reported Mockingbird Ln,  The resident was in the process of moving,  When the resident returned entry had been made through a window.  Nothing was found missing but 3 used condoms were found in the living room. 

 

Arrests 9/9/06

     Michael Phillips of Edgar Cemetery Rd. was held without bond for domestic assault, manufacture of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Arrested with him was Krystal Phillips who was charged with manufacture of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Phillip Bomar of Camden and Floyd Dumas of Pine Ridge Apts. were arrested at Maverick's on Memorial Dr. a little after 2am by Paris Police Officer Eric Long and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.  Dumas was charged with filing a false report.

     Hans Chrisp of Spirit Ln. was charged with failure to appear.

     Stacey Conner, 19, of Puryear was held without bond for failure to appear and violation of probation.

     Richard Phillips of Memorial Dr. was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Karen Ward of E L Walker Rd. was charged with domestic assault.

     Larry Raymer III of Henry was arrested for failure to appear.   

     

Arrests  9/8/06

 

     Myron McCrary of Murray was charged with public intoxication.

     Felicia George of N. Market St. was arrested for underage consumption.

     David Karr of Lone Oak Rd. was charged with violation of probation out of circuit court.

     A burglary was reported to the sheriff's office at a residence o Smith Heights.  The theft of a credit card was discovered.  The card had been used as several Paris and Henry County businesses totaling approx. $642.

     A small safe and $30 in change were reported stolen from a Little Benton Rd. residence.  Entry was made through a  unlocked rear door.

     Paris Police reported a break-in on Walnut St.  Entry was made through a kitchen window.  Drawers and closets had been gone through but nothing was found missing.

Arrests  9/7/06

     Carol Morse of Gwinn St. was charged with public intoxication.

     Amber Leach of Radford Lake Rd. was charged with domestic violence.

     Maran Harper of Hwy 69N was arrested on Irvine St. for driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Robert Gordon of Fulton KY was charged with aggravated assault.

     JoAnn Tharpe of Depot St. was arrested for theft of property.

     Harold Cowan of Irvine St. was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license.

     The owner of a 4-wheeler stolen from a barn on India Rd. is offering a $500 reward for its return and information leading to the arrest of the thief.  Anyone with information should contact the Henry County Sheriff's Office.

 

Arrests  9/6/06

     Ricky Evans of Springville was arrested on Hwy 69A for a 2nd DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Jon Caler of Hill Rd. was charged with violation of probation.

     Christopher Norwood of Cottage Grove  was stopped on E Washington St. for DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Monoca Whitfield of Old  Paris Murray Rd. was charged with a second driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Bradley Rideout of KY was charged with underage possession and consumption 

     Steven Dailey of Puryear was charged with aggravated burglary.

     Naomi Richardson of Buchanan was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Jeremy May, 25,  of Old McKenzie Hwy. was arrested on Porter St. for possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Roger Tharpe of Brown St. was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     David Oakley of Locust St. was arrested on a pick up mittimus for failure to appear.

     Derric Chenoweth of Old McKenzie Hwy was arrested on Depot St. simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Darrell Bigham of Old Paris Murray Rd. was arrested on Saturday and charged with stalking.

     Timothy Allen of Henry was arrested on a 3rd driving on a revoked driver's license for DUI.

     Nicke Evans of Yellow Bluff Rd. was charged with failure to appear and aggravated assault.

     Damon Crowe of Cottage Grove was arrested on Hwy 69N for DUI.

     Brandi Jacobs, 19, of Park St. was held without bond for aggravated domestic assault.

     John Allen, 21, of Hwy 69N was arrested for a 2nd DUI, driving on a revoked driver's license and violation of the helmet law.

     Joshua Metler of Morton St. was arrested for underage drinking and on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Andre Easley of Cliff St. was arrested for violation of probation.

          A 4-wheeler, valued at $8,000 was reported stolen from a barn on India Rd.  The door to the barn was found kicked in.

     A resident on Guthrie Rd. reported the residence had been shot.  Officers were told that unknown persons had been shooting guns across the road.  After they left gun shot holes were found in the house.    

     An unoccupied house was reported broken into over the holiday weekend in Como.  Electric wiring had been removed from the walls, 2 screen doors were taken as well as a whirly vent from the roof.  Also found missing were 2 lawnmowers, a tent and tools.

     

 

Arrests  9/2/06

     David Rivera of McKenzie was charged with failure to appear.

     Patrick Smith of McKenzie was picked up on an attachment for failure to appear.

     William Bailey of White St. was held without bond on an attachment for contempt out of Wayne Co.

     Angella Babrando of Maple St. was charged in court with violation of probation. 

 

Arrests 9/1/06  

     Kari Reeder of Guthrie Rd. was charged in General Sessions Court with failure to appear.

    Gary Mullions of Milan TN was charged with violation of probation.

 

     Aaron Larkin of Reynolds St. was arrested for domestic assault.

     Darren Sturdvant of Elmore St. was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation out of Carroll Co.

     Teresa Miller of Springville was held  at the Dickson Co. Sheriff's office for forgery.

     Terrell Cowan of Bodin /St was charged in court with violation of probation.

     Judith Forrest of Buchanan was also charged in court with violation of probation.

     Stacie Teague of Lone Oak Rd. was charged with violation of probation in court.

     Also charged in court with violation of probation were  Jennifer Edwards and James Williams of Depot St.

  

Arrests

     James Blackwell of LaVergne TN was stopped on E. Wood St. and charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Jacqueline Hutchens of Dunlap St. was arrested at Wood and Brewer St. for public intoxication.

     Michael Collier of Grove Park Apts. was arrested for domestic assault.

     Marquiece Tharpe of Brown St. was arrested in the Save-A-Lot parking lot for seatbelt violation and simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     Rekeal Floyd of Allen Ave. was charged with violation of probation.

     Deputies received a report of an unwanted person at a residence on Chapel Hill Rd.  The complainant stated that the subject was on the couch with his pants off.  The subject was gone when officers arrived.  They followed a vehicle but the occupant was not the subject they were looking for.  The occupant of the truck was Charles elk who had been drinking but according to officers was not drunk.  He was charged with violation of the open container law and driving without a driver's
