******************* Safety Tips for Seniors Always keep your doors and windows locked. Have dead bolts installed. Keep your home well lit at night with curtains closed. Have a peep hole installed in the front door to see callers without opening the door. Ask for ID from repair and delivery people. If a stranger asks to use the phone never let them in but offer to place the call for them. Do not hide a key under a door mat or other obvious place. Never tell a caller you are home alone. WHILE YOU ARE GONE .... Do not hang purse over your wrist. Do not leave purse in shopping cart. Do not carry a large amount of cash. Use direct deposit for checks. Do not carry a weapon, they could be used against you.
