Arrests  10/31/07

     Joanna Gordon of Big Sandy was arrested at the Road House Bar on Hwy 641S for public intoxication.

     Vernon Moore of Hwy 54 was charged with DUI and possession of a scheduled 6 drug with intent on Chickasaw.

   

  Arrests  10/30/07

     Cecil Booth of Buchanan was charged with failure to appear.

    Brandon Transue of McKenzie was charged with 2 counts of burglary and 2 counts of theft.  He was held without bond pending further investigation.

     Tina Benham  of Briar Patch Lake Rd. was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Dustin Campbell of Dyersburg was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  He was arrested with Daniel Ferguson Jr.of Halls TN and Thomas Whitt of Neubern TN for underage possession and consumption.

     Patricia Shelton Merrell of Reynoldsburg Rd. , Sarah Arnold of Maple St. and Wendal Tharpe of Huntingdon were arrested in Memorial Park Saturday night and charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     James Booth of  Hwy 69  and Garron Grafton of Spring Hill Rd. were arrested at Whispering Pines.  Booth was charged with promotion of meth.  He was found with 3 packs of Sudafed ( more than 30 pills), a main ingredient in making meth.    Grafton was arrested on warrants for evading arrest, felony reckless endangerment, felony evading arrest and driving on a suspended driver's license.  Grafton has evaded arrest several times, once jumping from a moving vehicle to evade police earlier in Nov. and leaving his vehicle with a passenger in it sitting on a railroad crossing in Henry.

     Jessica Biggs of Puryear was charged with failure to appear. 

     John Walker of McKenzie was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a scheduled 4 drug.

     Yvette Howell of Hwy 79  and Mark Stewart of Thompson  St. were charged with assault.

     Keitandrea Milton of Routon Truck Stop Rd. was charged with burglary and vandalism.

     Danny Hart of MS was charged with failure to appear on a warrant and held without bond.

     Patrick Dampeer of Tharpe Ln. was arrested on Fairground Rd. and charged with DUI and aggravated domestic assault.

     Jamie Simpson of Springville was charged with public intoxication at Decades on Hwy 79. 

     

Arrests  10/27/07

     Temple Hillard of McKenzie was held without bond in Carroll Co. and charged with failure to appear.

     Bonnie Crossan of Puryear was arrested on Rowe School Rd. and charged as a fugitive from justice out of Ohio.

     Byron Burress of Oneida TN was arrested on Carter Lane and charged with manufacture of meth.  Officers arrived at the residence on Carter Lane looking for Garron Crafton and smelled the chemical odor associated with meth.   In the house several items used to make meth were found.  Outside a bag was found hanging from the mirror of a vehicle which contained more items and residue from meth. 

Arrests  10/26/07

    Paul Wallace of Lone Oak Rd. was held without bond for violation of probation.

     Carman Summerville of Murray was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Keisham Campbell of Ripley was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Michael Youngblood, 29, was held without bond on charges of domestic assault.

     Bruce Gerhart of Mason Ln. was charged with simple assault.

     Tensee Hillard of  McKenzie was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Michael Wofford of Jack Younger Ln. was charged with burglary, theft of property over  $1,000 and violation of probation.

     Mary Boeham of Hoyt Cooper Rd. was held without bond for failure to appear.

 

Arrests  10/25/07

      Wesley Barns, 29, of Springville was charged with violation of probation.

     William Tomlin, 49, of Springville was charged with 2 counts of theft of property under $500.

     Fraudulent use of food stamp card was reported to the Paris Police.  The victim stated that her card, name and social security number had been used to activate the card that was used at E.W. James to purchase over $1400 of food items. 

     Precision Grinding reported that items were stolen.  It is believed that a former employee took the grinders, battery packs and various hand tools where they were located at a pawn shop in town.  The owner agreed to pay the pawn bill to get the tools back. 

Arrests  10/24/07

     Melanie Albright of McFadden St. was charged as a fugitive from justice and arrested on a warrant.

     Michelle Cox of Chickasaw was charged with assault.

     Makecia Woodruff of Johnson St. was charged with assault.

    Dana Caldwell of Edgar Cemetery Rd. was charged with forgery.

     Jesse Peiffer, 42, of Jackson St. was charged with vandalism.

     John Smothers, 23, of Camden was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Theft of a leaf blower, a can of gas and a set of pliers were reported stolen from a Gum Springs Rd. residence.  The items were reported to have been brought to a pawn shop where they were refused.

     Tri Gas on Shady Grove Rd. reported vandalism.  A BB or small rock broke a window.  Vandalism to a residence on Shady Grove Rd. was also reported. A hammer was found sticking out of the hood and dents were found in the vehicle.

     Items to make a meth lab were found in the woods  behind  a residence on Hwy 140S.

Arrests  10/23/07

      The Henry County Sheriff's Office received  information that a Georgia state penitentiary  escapee was in Henry County .  Further investigation revealed the suspect was at a residence on Center School Rd.  The white male escapee was identified as  27 year old Edward Koebel who had escaped from a work detail on Sept. 26.  Koebel was charged in Henry County with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Assisting in the uneventful arrest were Sheriff Belew, Chief Deputy Randy Gean, Lt. Pinson, Investigator Eaker,  Sgt. Vaughn, Cpl. Perry Deputies R. Wade and J. Wade along with Deputy Sanders and Trooper Cox.

      Other arrests included Princess Willis of N. Market for disorderly conduct.

     Felipi Neri of Van Dyke Grove Rd. was charged with public intoxication.

     Dustin Morris of Big Sandy was underage consumption.

     Charles Wilson of Ellis St. was arrested at Big Eagle Campground and charged with disorderly conduct.

     Jerry Finch of Henry was charged with driving with no driver's license and violation of financial responsibility.

     David Jordan of Ill was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Matthew Douglas of Green Springs Rd. was charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Scott Carroll of Henry was arrested on Dunlap St. for DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     John Anderson of Cottage Grove was charged with public intoxication.

     Edwin Hall-Cole of Leroy Harris Rd. was stopped on Hwy 77 and charged with possession of a scheduled 6 drug with intent.  Arrested with him was Jonathan Gross of Humbolt and Lawrence Davis of Humbolt.  Gross was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.  Davis was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and violation of the seat belt law. 

     Kenneth Bobbitt of McKenzie was charged on Lake St. with DUI and violation of the implied consent law and simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     Celsey Arthurs of Green Valley Dr. was charged in Veteran's Dr. with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     On Saturday James Greer of Camden was arrested on641S and charged with a 9th DUI and violation of the implied consent law and driving on a revoked driver's license.

     Audrey Willis of N. Market St was charged with disorderly Conduct and underage consumption.

     Brian Glisson of Henry was arrested on a warrant for aggravated assault.     

     Clayton Barnes2nd of Stewart TN was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor by giving the minor a drink with liquor in it.

     A case of cruelty to animals was reported over the weekend.  A neighbor reported that Alpacas on E. Antioch Rd. had no food, water or shelter.  The animals were found under fed and in poor health with several babies that had died.  Charges are pending in the case. 

Arrests  10/19/07

          Paul Powell of SweetwatewaterTN was charged in General Sessions Court and held without bond for domestic assault.

       Evelyn Kennedy of Crutchfield Ln. was charged with leaving the scene.

     George Freeman of Boundbrook Dr. was charged with shoplifting.

     Charles Pruett of Cowan St. was cited for failure to appear to do jail sentence.

     A 4 wheeler was reported stolen from a shed on Whisky Ridge Rd.  The lock had been pried from the door.  The residence was on the extra patrol list.  The resident was a truck driver who was out of town.  The matter is under investigation.  The resident had entered the home on the extra patrol list because he was told that someone had been talking about the 4 wheeler and planned to steal it.

Arrests  10/18/07

     Yuri Floyd of E. Washington St.  was held without bond for violation of probation.

     Ricky Blankenship of McKenzie was charged with public intoxication.

     Robert Lepiscopo of Old Paris Murray Rd. was charged with public intoxication on Routon St.

Arrests  10/17/07

     Brian Gilbert of Dresden was held without bond on charges of violation of probation.

     Justin Hosford of Old McKenzie Hwy. was stopped on Hwy 69A and charged with a 2nd DUI.

     Christopher Capps of Guthrie Rd. was charged with violation of an order of protection.  He had used the phone at the Highway Department garage while a trustee on work release to phone the victim.

     A central cooling and  heating unit was destroyed at a residence on the 218 By pass.  The home was empty and for sale.  All of the copper wiring had been ripped from the unit. 

Arrests  10/16/07

          Winfrey Ray of Head St. was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Tammy Meredith of Puryear was  charged with driving on a suspended driver's license and violation of the registration law.

     Britton Gream of Old McKenzie Hwy was arrested on Memorial Dr. and charged with underage possession of alcohol.

     Jason Lamb of Henry was arrested on Saturday on Dunlap St. and charged with DUI, and violation of the implied consent law. Arrested with Lamb was Molly Cole of Henry who was charged with underage drinking.

     Richard Medlock of  Hwy 641S was arrested for simple assault.

     Brenda Helms of Memorial Dr. was charged with public intoxication

     James Nored of Byrd Rd. was arrested on Depot St. was charged with public intoxication.

     Chris Porter of Blythe St. was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation.

     Loozie Dunlap of Routon St. was charged with violation of probation.

     Andrew Taylor of Memorial Dr. was arrested on Wynn St. for simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     Chris Pack of Caldwell St. was charged with violation of the seat belt law and driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Crystal Lacy of Houston TX was arrested on Routon St. for possession of drug paraphernalia and on warrants for violation of the financial responsibility law and leaving the scene of an accident.  

Arrests  10/13/07

     Samantha Gibbs of Murray, Veronica Spain of Hopkinsville and Candice Kinghammer of Paducah were arrested at the Spider Webb and charged with underage consumption.

     Jerry Clark of N. Blakemore St. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Michael Fleming of Big Sandy was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and drug paraphernalia.

     London Chapman of Guthrie Rd. was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license.

     Jerri Satterfield of Head St. was  held without bond for violation of probation.

     Israel Patton of Highland St. was charged with violation of probation.

     James Gates of Green Hill Estates was charged with violation of probation.

     Joshua Shipman was held without bond for filing a false report.  The arrest occurred after law enforcement received an anonymous tip that Shipman had escaped from a Michigan nail and was staying in Hutchison's Trailer Park.  When he was located he gave officers a false name.  When the correct name was finally given a check found that he was wanted on warrants in Michigan for violation of parole.

     A vehicle was reported stolen from the Pepsi plant parking lot.  The owner left the vehicle over night while he was on a delivery run and the vehicle was gone when he returned.  He stated that the vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside it because it could only be locked from the inside.  The 1966 truck was valued at $3,000.

     Another vehicle was reported stolen.  The vehicle , a 1996 Eldorado was being worked on by the owner on Riggins St.  The vehicle was finally running and the owner left it for a few minutes and when he returned it was gone. 

Arrests  10/12/07

     Douglas Paschall of Parish Ln. as charged with possession of a scheduled 6 drug, intention to manufacture and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Deborah Pillows of Mandalay Rd. was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Jennifer King of N. Lake St. was charged at the Sheriff's office for extortion.  The investigation was headed by Director Damon Lowe.

     Dawn Kubiak of Reynoldsburg Rd. was charged with shoplifting at E.W. James.

     Deborah Wallace of Murray was charged at the jail with harassment.  Wallace was originally arrested and held without bond  on Wednesday in the parking lot of Matt's Pub for aggravated assault,  reckless endangerment and possession of legend drugs..  Wallace had hit her boyfriend with the car and flipped him onto the hood of the vehicle and then drove in the lot with him hanging on.  She stopped and he slid off and she then opened the car door striking him and cutting his leg.  The newest charge stems from that evening when she made threatening statements to a woman at the scene and also drove by the victims place of employment several times

Arrests  10/11/07

Shawn  Wagnerin of Ft. Campbell was held without bond for violation of an order of protection and aggravated criminal trespassing.

     Vince Vine of Head St. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Christy Singleton of Old Union Rd. was arrested on a warrant for filing a false report, simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and possession f drug paraphernalia.  While in the booking room the scheduled 2 drugs were found on her person.

     Brittney Goodman  of Stepp Rd. was topped on Mineral Wells Ave. and charged with criminal impersonation and on a pick up mittimus for theft of property.

     Rodgrick Singleton of MN was arrested on Johnson St. for aggravated assault.

     An attempted break in was reported in Henry where the thief attempted to pull the electric service from the wall of a metal building.

Arrests  10/10/07

     Charles Arnold of Petty John Rd. was charged in court with failure to appear and held without bond.

     Ashley Simpson of New Concord KY was arrested in the parking lot of Knights Inn with Brandon Johnson.  Johnson was charged with public intoxication and Simpson was charged with underage consumption.  The arrests occurred when officers observed the pair sitting  on the curb in the Knight's Inn Parking lot.  The pair smelled strongly of alcohol and Johnson's vehicle had been driven up over the curb.

     Bryan Caldwell of Reynoldsburg Rd. was charged on a state warrant with domestic assault.

     Robert Butler of Blythe St. was arrested on Brewer St. and charged with simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Erica Nelms of Old Union Rd. was charged with 2 counts of drug fraud and criminal attempt to defraud. 

Arrests  10/9/07

     Anthony Williams of Harrison Ln. was arrested on a warrant for possession of a scheduled 2 drug.

     James Clendenin of Camden was held without bond for Benton Co. for contempt of juvenile court for non payment.

     James Driggers of Huntingdon was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Lindsey James of Springville was arrested on Pineview Dr. and charged with  underage consumption and domestic assault.

        Jonathan Futreell of Dover was arrested on 79N and charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law.  Arrested with Futrell was Jason Moffit of Dover for public intoxication.

     Bruce Schwitters of Washington St. was arrested on Dunlap St. for DUI.

     Melissa Reed of Big Sandy was arrested on W. Wood St. and charged with simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and 2 counts of possession of a scheduled 4 drug.  Arrested with him was Robert Snands of McKenzie also for possession a scheduled 2 drug and 2 counts of possession of a scheduled 4 drug.  A third person was arrested on W. Wood by Officer Michael Ramos, Barbara Henry of Camden for simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and 2 counts of possession of a scheduled 4 drug.

          Claudy Serwell of Florida was stopped on Hwy 56 for DUI. 

       Anthony Williams of Harrison Ln. was arrested again on Saturday on W. Blythe St. for driving on a revoked driver's license.

     Adam Beasley of McClain Trailer Park was charged with possession of a deadly weapon.  A baseball bat and a tire iron was found next to the driver's seat.  The arrest occurred on Carter Ln. when the vehicle was pulling into the driveways of residents and acting suspicious.  The driver stated that the weapons were for his protection.

     Harry White of Harrison Ln. was stopped on Rison St. for DUI.

     Kurt Stafford of Head St. was held without bond and charged with violation of probation.

     Casey Hilliard of Springville was arrested on Fentress St. for theft of property under $500, simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. 

     Steven Porter of Henry was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license.

     Theft of a 1994 Ford Tractor was reported to the Sheriff's Office.  The owner stated that his brother had loaned the tractor to someone unknown to him and when it was returned it was not the '94 tractor.

     Theft of a pistol from a vehicle parked at the Fishtale Lodge was reported.  The owner had been staying at the Fishtale Lodge and discovered a broken window in  the truck and the pistol gone when he returned after a day of fishing . 

Arrests  10/6/07

     Bryan     Burress of Oneida TN    was arrested at Eagle's Food Store for driving on a suspended driver's license, simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug, violation of the financial responsibility law and violation of the registration law.

     Michael Tharpe of Cooper St. was charged with shoplifting.

     Charles Patton of College St. was arrested on Fentress St. for public intoxication.

     Latonya Patton of Wynn St. was charged with violation of probation.

     Tabitha Singleton of Dale Rd. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license and possession of a prohibited weapon.

     Christopher Rice of Springville was arrested on Caledonia St for possession of drug paraphernalia - a crack pipe.  Arrested with Rice was Shana  Gallion  of White St. who was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and Christy Lamb of Wood St. who was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.  Rice also received a citation for not having 3 children that were in the car, ages 2, 3 and 5 in child restraint seats.

     Andrew Hester of Murray was stopped on Mineral Wells Ave. for a 2nd driving on a revoked driver's license for 2 DUIs.  Hester was driving a red scooter with no helmet  and no registration.

     Ricky Hoskins of Springville was charged with domestic assault.

     Meredith  Taconi of Henry was arrested on a warrant and held without bond for fraudulent uses of a credit card.  

Arrests  10/5/07

     Michael Sanoiussi of W. Wood St. was arrested on E. Wood St. as a fugitive from justice.

     Michael Roberts of Guthrie Rd. was held without bond on 2 counts of failure to appear and violation of probation.

     Israel Patton  of Wynn St. was charged with aggravated assault.

     Thomas Arnold of Dresden  was stopped in Como for driving on a suspended driver's license, possession of a legend drug, violation of the financial responsibility law and violation of the registration law.

     Paul Wallace of Lone Oak Rd. was held without bond for violation of probation and accessory after the fact.  Also arrested with Wallace was Kristi Townsend of Old Union Rd. who was charged with filing a false report and accessory after the fact.  The arrest occurred at Hwy 77 and the railroad tracks.  Officers observed Garon Crafton, who had felony warrants out on him in the vehicle.  When officers attempted to stop the car Crafton rolled down the window and jumped out into a ditch and ran off.  Wallace and Townsend had provided him with transportation knowing that he was wanted.  Wallace was also issued a citation for having 3 children ages 2,3 and 5 not in car seats.

     Officers investigated a report of animal cruelty on Rowes School Rd.  When they arrived they saw dogs in every window of the house and 6 dogs in a pen outside.  The dogs had mange and the pen was filled with animal droppings.  When the officers entered the house they were forced to wear gas masks because of the odor from urine and feces.  6 dogs with various injuries were found in the house.  The owner,  who stated that the house was not that bad when she visited the day before.  The house was described by officers as unlivable and the owner agreed to turn the animals over to the Forever Friends Animal Sanctuary.

Arrests  10/4/07

     Chris Haynes of Henry was stopped on 3rd St. by Officer Kim Hassell  and charged with driving on a suspended driver's license and simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.  Arrested with Haynes was David Verrett of Williams St. who was charged with simple possession.

     Jerry Hutcherson of Blythe St. who was charged with shoplifting at E.W.James.

     William Revel of Gulf Port MS. was held without bond on a capias and violation of the bad check law out of Carroll Co. 

Arrests  10/3/07

     Chancy Depriest of Magnolia Ave. was arrested on Redford Lake Rd. was charged with underage consumption.

     Andre Tharpe of Curtis St. was held without bond for aggravated sexual battery.

     Shelea Caldwell, 39, was arrested on  Brewer St.  and charged with promoting prostitution and patronizing prostitution.  The arrest occurred in the city of Paris and no officers' report was as yet available.

     Theft of propane tanks from Wells Drilling on Hwy 79S was reported to the Sheriff's office.  3 tanks were taken from their holders.  The thieves were unsuccessful in their attempt to remove a full tank from a fork lift.

     Theft of 23 pieces of 14 foot burgundy colored metal from a trailer in Holiday Acres was reported.

     Vandalism to a Paris Police car was reported Sunday.  The vehicle had dents in the rear quarter panel and scuff marks from a boot.

Fred's Discount Pharmacy reported that a youth entered the store and stole 4 ice cream bars which he took from the store and shared with 2 friends outside.

     INS Skateboards on Washington St. reported the theft of 3 pairs of shoes.  Surveillance cameras caught a subject who later admitted to stealing 2 of the 3 pairs of shoes.

 

Arrests  10/02/07

     David Bryant of Martin was charged with theft of property.

     Ivy Devoe of Camden was charged at the Knights Inn along with  Darrell French of Camden for possession of drug paraphernalia on Sunday.

     Randy Garland of Murray was charged with DUI,  violation of the implied consent law, violation of the open container law and misuse of registration.

     Edward Kennedy of Porter St. was charged with aggravated assault.

     Phillip Lady of Murray, Andrew Smithson of Murray and Ryan Millard of Murray were arrested at Hwy 641N and Howard Rd. by Puryear Police Chief Dale Paschall for underage possession and consumption.  Smithson was also charged with criminal impersonation.  He gave the Chief a fake ID but later admitted to his correct name and age.

     Britton Gream of Henry was arrested on E. Wood St. and charged with underage possession and consumption.

     Richard Lowe of Whiskey Ridge Rd. was charged with underage consumption at Bottoms Up Bar.

     Thomas Thornton of Whiskey /Ridge Rd. was charged at Eagle Food Store with DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     James Leslie of Big Sandy was charged with a 3rd driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Kari Reeder of Shady Grove Rd. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Antonio Williams of Harrison Ln. was stopped on Short Rd. and charged with simple possession of a scheduled 4 drug.

     Joseph Joyner of Madison St. was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license.

     Deandre James, 21, of Harrison Ln. was charged with violation of probation.

Chris Porter of Blythe St. was stopped on Jones Bend Rd. Ext. and charged with DUI, violation of the implied consent law and simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug.  

     Danny Trotter of Hardon Cemetery Rd. and James Hunter  of Big Sandy were arrested at a residence on Rabbit Creek Rd. Sunday morning where they were charged with promotion of meth manufacturing and initiation of meth manufacturing, theft of property,  possession of a scheduled 4 drug.  Hunter was held without bond on a warrant out of Benton County simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.  The arrest occurred while officers were attempting to serve a warrant out of Benton Co. on Hunter.  They came in contact with Trotter when they heard talk of a tank of anhydrous ammonia in Trotter's van.  After finding the tank they receiving written consent from the owner of the residence to search the house where officers located5.3 grams of marijuana, 4.3 grams of addrerall, a metal smoking pipe.  In the woods officers located a duffel bag containing items such as funnels, glass jars and rubber gloves.  In a search of the basement of the residence jewelry boxes containing items stolen from a Pt. Pleasant residence were also located.
