Arrests  5/31/06

     Freddie Wheatley of Jackson Dr. was held without bond Sunday on charges of domestic assault.

     Laven Huston of Mason Ln. was charged with disorderly conduct.

     Roxanne Fisher of Copper Springs Rd. was arrested for failure to appear to do a jail sentence.

     James Perry of Hwy 140W was charged with theft of property.

     Randy McBroom of Jackson was arrested at Grove Apts.

for public intoxication and domestic assault.

     David Felock, 28, of Old Paris Murray Rd. was arrested in the Bottoms Up parking lot and charged with tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Early Monday morning Christopher Minnis, 18, of Winsett Rd., Andrew Garrigus of Chickasaw  Rd, Joshua Singleton of Puryear, Rebecca Mecord of Crestview Circle and Colton Stallings also of Puryear were arrested in the Bottoms Up parking lot.  Stallings and Mecord were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, Singleton was charged with public intoxication, Minnis and Garrigus were charged with underage consumption.

     Michael Evans of N Market St. was arrested on McCampbell St. and charged with simple possess of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     James Starnes, 45, of Big Sandy was arrested on Volunteer Dr. for possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Brooke West of Jackson St. was charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     Tammy Sheeks of Memorial Dr. was arrested for violation of probation out of Montgomery Co. on Sunday.

     Ronald Webb of Porter St. was arrested for public intoxication and theft.

    On Saturday Jefferson Freeman was arrested for a 4th driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Rob Lepiseop of Old Paris Murray Rd. was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

     Kevin Mayfield of Mansfield was arrested at HCMC and charged with contempt of court out of Juvenile Court.

     James Williams of Depot St. was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license and failure to appear.

     Kim Amas of Hwy 69S was charged with disorderly conduct.

     Robert Ward Jr. of Cottage Grove was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

      Eric Burnett of N. Market St. was charged with driving on a suspended drive’s license.

     On Friday Brian Glisson of Hwy 54 was arrested on a warrant for driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Randy Parker of Chickasaw Rd. was arrested for possession of a scheduled 6 drug with intent and possession of drug paraphernalia.  The arrest occurred when Hwy Patrol and Henry County Sheriff’s deputies clocked Parker doing 93 mph on Hwy 79 near the roadside park.  He was finally stopped at Shady Grove Rd and County Club Rd.  The deputy allowed his K-9 to sniff the car and discovered the marijuana.

 

Arrests  5/27/06

     Adam Lampkins of Lone Oak Rd was charged with simple assault.

    David Schaeffer of Vandyke Rd. was charged with harassment.

     Christopher  Gowin of Brown St. was arrested on a warrant at Champion Homes and charged with manufacture of marijuana.

     Charles Hall of Manley St was charged with violation of probation out of circuit court.

     Theft of tools valued at approx. $1,000 from a cabin on Hwy 77 was reported to the sheriff’s office.

     A vehicle was reported on fire in the parking lot of Dana.  According to the owner the vehicle had been moved from its original parking place.  It also appeared to have been stuck in the mud by the tracks by the vehicle.  The vehicle was locked.

 

Arrests   5/26/06

     Charles Hall of Manley St. was charged with violation of probation out of circuit court.

     Jerry Williams of Huntington was charged at the Carroll County jail for Henry County Sheriff’s office with promotion of the manufacture of meth.

     William Hamm of Memorial Dr. was arrested for public intoxication.

     Scott Carroll of Henry was charged with failure to appear.

     Jerry Stallions of Henry was arrested for evading arrest resisting to stop, frisk, halt and possession of a scheduled 6 drug. 

 

Arrests   5/25/06

     Jared Lainscough of Morgan Lane was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Brittani Easley of Clifty St. was arrested at HCMC and charged with underage possession/consumption of alcohol.

     Marcus Olive of McSwain St. was charged with violation of probation at Crestview Manor.

     Steven Lehaman of Owensboro KY was charged with violation of probation out of circuit court.

     Hope Allen, 20, Heather McNutt, 19, James Miller, 23, all of Mayfield KY were passengers in a vehicle driven by Joshua Scribner, also of Mayfield.  Offices made a traffic stop of the vehicle in the Hampton Inn parking lot after the driver was observed leaned out of the vehicle and picking up an orange traffic cone by Lakewood School.  Allen and McNutt were charged with underage consumption of alcohol.  Miller was charged with criminal responsibility for the conduct of another.  Scribner became combatant with officers, kicking and spitting on the deputies.  He was subdued with chemical spray and then put in leg shackles.  By the end of the struggle both officers’ uniforms were ruined.  Scribner was arrested on 12 charges including 2nd DUI, violation of the implied consent law, driving on a suspended driver’s license, theft of property under $500, assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, violation of the open container law and criminal responsibility for the conduct of another.

     A 14-year-old West Antioch Rd. resident was reported to have taken his grandmother’s ’87 Toyota Camry while the woman was taking a shower.

     Antiques, valued at $6,000 along with 2 guns and jewelry were taken from a home on Oak Grove Rd.  The front windows had been covered with blankets; entry was made through a set of French doors.

     Theft of a tractor and bush hog was reported by a resident on Hwy 54.  The owner stated that he was to trade it for a tractor owned by a man in Dresden.  When he went to pick up his tractor, valued at $1,800, it was gone.

 

Arrests   5/24/0 6

     Robert Williams of Irvin St. was arrested for failure to appear.

     Anthony Valenziano of Minor St. was arrested on W. Wood St for driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Donald Green of Trenton TN was charged with violation of probation out of General Sessions Court.

     Darren McClellean was arrested in Henry and held without bond for failure to appear on a violation of probation charge as well as for possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying/possession of a weapon.

     Christopher McClain of Murray was held without bond on assault charges.

     James Ellis of Porter St was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Jeremy Darnell of Tennessee Ridge was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation.

     Joshua Beecham of Camden was charged with violation of probation.

    

Arrests  5/23/06

     On Friday Joseph Johnson of Rison St was charged at the sheriff’s office as a fugitive from justice out of KY.

     Kimberley Targett of Tulsa OK was charged at the sheriff’s office and is being held without bond for violation of probation out of circuit court, theft of property and 2 capias’ out of Weakley Co. 

     Daryl Jackson of Wynn St. was charged with theft of property.

     On Saturday Michael Youngblood of Old Paris Murray Rd. was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Shawn Meade of Greenfield TN was held without bond for failure to appear.  Allen Roosevelt Jr. of KY was arrested at Scott Market for public intoxication.

     Jonathan Richardson of Reynoldsburg Rd. was arrested on Blakemore for DUI and simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     James Martin of Stewart TN was arrested at Huddle House over the weekend and charged with public intoxication.

     Donald Hughes of Dyersburg was arrested t Eagle Foods and charged with theft of property under $500.

     Dalton Patterson of Springville was arrested for DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Kenneth O’ Daniel of Puryear was arrested Sunday and charged with public intoxication on Jackson Dr.

     Shawn Moss of Tanglewood was held without bond for failure to appear to serve a jail sentence.

     John Allen of Hwy 69N was held without bond and charged with domestic assault and underage consumption.

     At around 1pm Monday afternoon a 2-vehicle accident on Hwy 79 by Pine Campground, just across the Henry Stewart County line was reported.  4 people were killed in the accident.  According to reports the vehicle driven by a woman with her 3 grandchildren went off the road, came back up onto 79 and cross over into the other lane, striking a truck.  The driver of the truck was airlifted to Nashville and later released.  The father of the children is presently stationed in  Afghanistan and will be returning home.

 

Arrests   5/20/06

       Joseph Aldridge of Blabanon Pike was charged with non-support.

     Joseph Snead of Florida was arrested on 79 by Skunk Hollow for DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Angela Crowell of McKenzie was charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license, possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Justin Russell of Jones Bend Rd. Ext. was held without bond for violation of sentence.

     William Gant of Henry was charged in general sessions court with violation of probation.    

     William Deerman of 69S was charged in court with failure to appear on charges of speeding and driving on a suspended drivers license and speeding.

 

Arrests   5/19/06

     Derrick Starnes of Scott Evans Rd. was arrested on Sparks St and charged with tampering with evidence.

     Justin Kinley of Cooper St. was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Ozema Long of Rison St. was charged with failure to appear out of Carroll Co.

     Heath Acree of Madison St. was arrested on an attachment out of Putnam Co.

     Yoder’s on Hwy 54W reported the theft of an estimated $400 of gas from a tank on the side of the building.  The owners believe that the thefts have occurred over a period of time.  Extra patrols in the area have been requested.

 

Arrests   5/18/06

     On May 15th the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and the Paris Police Department searched 1208 Brown St. in Paris.  The agencies received information of marijuana being grown at the residence and working a joint investigation officers located an indoor marijuana growing operation at the Brown St. residence.  Found were 58 plants growing under grow lights.  The plants ranged in size from 2 inches to 2 feet.  Processed and drying marijuana was also located at the residence.  Officers charged a juvenile that was staying at the residence for manufacture of marijuana.  Also charged with manufacturing marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia were 25 year old Nicholas Irwin and 25 year old Chris Gowin. 

      Other arrests included David Seymore of McKenzie who was charged with failure to appear.

     Jared Cole of Springville was held without bond and charged with domestic assault.

     David Guffey of Henderson Dr was arrested on a warrant for theft of property over $1,000.

     Vandalism at the old Smith Tire Barn was reported to the sheriff’s office. The renter stored cars at the building.  Vandals broke in and stole parts from the vehicles, broke mirrors, windshields and taillights, causing an estimated $2,000 of damage.

     A one vehicle accident was reported on Hwy 69S.  THP and EMS were called to the scene.  

 

Arrests   5/17/06

     Angela Oakley of Hwy 641S was charged with failure to appear.

     Christopher Kirk of Buchanan was charged with violation of probation.

 

Arrests   5/16/06

     Kenneth Tharpe of Market St. was charged with domestic assault.

    Robert Tharpe of Porter St. was charged with a 4th driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     David Felock of Old Paris Murray Rd. was arrested at Wal-Mart for theft of property.

     Jared Anscousgh of Lone Oak Rd and charged with disorderly conduct.

     Phillip Bomar of Camden was arrested on McClain St. and charged with domestic assault.

     Johnathan Lannom and James Lannom, both of Dresden were arrested over the weekend at Club Erotica where they were charged with criminal responsibility for the conduct of another.   The 2 men had brought their 16-year-old cousin to the club.

     Chad Hall of Bruceton was charged with public intoxication.

     Cody Kennedy was charged with public intoxication on W. Wood St.

     Andre Easley of Dunlap St. was held without bond Saturday for violation of sentence and failure to appear.

     Kenneth O’Daniel of McDonald St. was charged by THP with reckless endangerment and as a habitual offender.

     B&G Equipment reported vandalism to a work truck parked on the lot over the weekend.  The door of the truck appeared to have been rammed by a vehicle.

     Missing tools valued at $400, from a barn on New Boston Rd were reported to the Sheriff’s office over the weekend.

     Vandalism to the Melton Grove Baptist Church was reported this weekend.  The supports of the porch had been pulled out by a vehicle, causing the porch to calspe.  Damage was valued at $11,000.

 

Arrests   5/13/06

     Clifford Beaver of Aden St. was charged with theft of property over $500.

     Carol Thompson of Lone Oak was charged in court with failure to appear.

     The Tennessee Highway Patrol was called to the scene of an accident on Holiday Acres Dr.  The vehicle went off the roadway and through the resident’s fence.

     The THP was also called to the scene of an accident with injuries at around 4pm Thursday afternoon.  The accident was about4 miles out of town on Hwy 641N.  The vehicle went off the roadway and EMS was called to the scene.

     A report of a vehicle break in was reported to the Paris Police.  A portable CD player and 14 CD’s were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Blakemore St.  Entry was made through a window that was already broken out.

 

Arrests   5/12/06

     Christopher Triplett of Franklin Dr. was arrested on warrants for worthless checks, failure to appear and on a summons out of KY.

     Ramon Sala of Camden was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Ronald Carter of 218 By-pass was arrested on a warrant for manufacturing marijuana.  

 

Arrests   5/11/06

     Jennifer Edwards of Old McKenzie Hwy was arrested on Powell St. and charged with theft under $500.

  Patrick Thomas was arrested on Washington St. on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Willie Russell of Brewer St. was charged at the jail with violation of sentence.

     Joyce Rushing of Buchanan was stopped at the Blue and Gray Marina and charged with criminal trespassing.

     Christopher Hones of Huntington was charged in court with leaving the scene and driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Jacob Kennon of Thompson Lane was charged with theft of property and aggravated burglary.

     The sheriff’s office received a report of a house fire on Hidden Acres Rd.

 

Arrests   5/10/06

     Donald Gallimore of Springville was charged with violation of probation.

     Kevin Jackson and Kenrick Reddrick, both of Lois St. were arrested a W. Blythe St.  Jackson was charged with criminal impersonation.  Reddick was charged with criminal impersonation and driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Mitsi Beasley of Ogburn St. was charged with violation of probation out of circuit court.

     Dustin Norwood of Oliver St. was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Warrants have been issued for Ronnie Carter of 218 By-pass.  Witness at the residence of his sister at 173 Whispering Pines where a meth lab was discovered last week told Henry County Sheriff’s office that the subject was seen at the quarantined residence.  When officers went to Carter’s residence they found a gun and a lap top computer taken from Whispering Pines.  Also found at Carter’s residence were several marijuana plants growing in pots in the yard.  The warrants charge him with trespassing and manufacture of marijuana.

     Saws, tools and a transit in a case were reported stolen from a Guthrie Rd. residence.

 

Arrests   5/9/06

     Adenanna Diggs of Harrison Ln. was arrested on a warrant for assault and a warrant for vandalism.

     Lee Lumpkin of Manley St. was arrested for criminal trespassing.

     Jeremial Moody and Jarrell Saylers, both of Camden, were arrested on Hwy 79S and charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Saylers was also charged with violation of the light law.  He had only one taillight working which was the reason for the traffic stop.

     Eron Kinsley of Sandra St. was arrested at Washington Courts and held without bond on a capais.

     Michael Youngblood of Old Paris Murray Rd. was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Theft of a motorcycle was reported to the Henry County Sheriff’s office.  The bike, valued at $2500, was taken from a storage building on Hwy 641N.  

 

Arrests   5/6/06

     3 arrests were made at around 1am Friday morning by officers on Hwy 641 just south of Clifty Farms.  The 3, Joseph Gorney of Lexington MS, James Hayes, 28, of Lexington MS and Robert Ramsey, 33 were involved in a strong armed robbery in Decatur Co.   The pursuit headed into Henry County from Benton County where they attempted to evade several units at Hwy 641 and 218 By-pass south of Paris.    Spike strips were placed in the roadway by Cpl. Cagle and the tires on the van went flat from the strip and the vehicle came to a stop in front of Clifty Farms. The 2 front seat occupants of the van ran but all 3 were caught in a short time.  The 3 are being held without bond for investigators in Decatur Co.    Gorney and Hayes are being charged with evading arrest.  Ramsey is charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.

     Other arrests include Ronald Mark of Puryear for a 2nd DUI and violation of the implied consent law.  The arrest occurred when officers were told that Mark had been kicked out of Club Erotica for disorderly conduct. He was seen driving back and forth crossing the centerline.  When stopped by deputies the vehicle did not contain the gun he had threaded to use while at the Club.

     Thomas Thompson of Dale St. was arrested by the Paris Police  and charged with 2 counts of theft of property and vandalism.

     James Tharpe of Harrison Ln. was charged in court with assault.

     Colton Pierce of Springville was arrested on Dale St. and charged with theft over $500, theft under $500 and vandalism.

     Demetrica Shipp was charged in court with failure to appear.

     Thomas Ricketts of McClain Trailer Park was arrested on a warrant for theft of property over $500.

     Joseph Kabb of Dover was arrested on E. Wood St. and held without bond for failure to exhibit a license.  

 

Arrests  5/5/06

     On May 3rd the Henry County Sheriff’s office searched 173 Whispering Pines Rd.  where officers found various components and chemicals used in meth production.  Several containers of ‘cooking meth’ were also located.    Arrested were residents 23-year-old Randall Carter and 19 year old Michelle Cox Zell.  Both were charged with promotion of the production of meth, possession of meth with the intent to sell, initiate of meth process, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Both are being held without bond until they appear in court.  A Hazmat unit was called in to dispose of the hazardous materials and the property was quarantined by the sheriff’s office.  The Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by Paris Police in the search.

     Other arrests included Venus Jones of Indianapolis on a capais out of circuit court.

     Allen Mustain of Guthrie Rd. was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Harce Runion of Springville was charged with violation of probation and leaving the scene of an accident.

     Thomas Johnson of S. Blakmore was arrested on Curtis St for domestic assault.

     Douglas Harper of Buchanan was arrested on Travis Rd. for possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Terry Somerville of Porter St. was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation.

     Scott Waddell of Sherwood Dr. was charged with public intoxication.

     Kurt Stafford of Fulton TN was charged in court with violation of probation.

     According to Investigator Scott Wyrick of the Henry County Sheriff’s office CID about ½ of the warrants issued on 14 people under the new TN meth Act law have been arrested or are scheduled to appear in court, some in Weakley and Carroll Counties.

 

Arrests   5/4/06

     Everett Daniel Lamb of Bobwhite Rd. was charged with aggravated assault.

     Nick Mallard of Spirit Ln. was charged with assault.

 

Arrests  5/2/06

     Brian Gilbert and Holly Locke both of McKenzie were arrested at West Wood Wine and Liquor on Saturday.  Gilbert was arrested on a KY state warrant and as a fugitive from justice.  Locke was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a scheduled 3 drug and possession of a scheduled 4 drug.

     Lawrence Allison, 48, of Flatwoods Ln. was charged with domestic assault.    

     Allen Hart of Cottage Grove was charged with public intoxication.

     Curtis Page of Springville was charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     Joe Brown of Danville TN was arrested on Corbin St. and charged with promotion of meth manufacturing, simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug, simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia, 2 state warrants, evading arrest and tampering with evidence.   

     David Oakley of Wynn St. was charged with public intoxication.

     Joyce Teague of Powell St. was charged with domestic assault.

     Jonathan Winston of Fulton KY was charged with underage consumption on Saturday.

     Friday Stephanie Tharpe of Jones St. was charged with aggravated domestic assault.

     Sunday Tammy Callins Gleason TN was charged in the Weakley Co. jail with promoting the manufacturing of meth.

     Josh Sanders, 18, of Henderson Ln. was arrested on Fairground Rd. was charged with underage possession and consumption.

     Chandler Merrill of Buchanan was charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license.

Thomas Tharpe Jr. of College St in Paris was arrested on Harrison Ln. for criminal trespassing.

   William Russell of Brewer St. was arrested on a warrant for burglary.

     Kenneth Cole of Springville was arrested for domestic assault.

     Melinda Gallimore of Gleason was arrested for promotion of meth production.

     Toni Schaffer of McKenzie was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Tommy Reeves of Huntingdon was charged with public intoxication and violation of the open container law.

       Kavita Melton of Huntingdon was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Terry Brown of Holiday TN was arrested on 641S for driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Amy Henderson of N Poplar was arrested and charged with failure to appear to do a jail sentence.

     Jeremy Henderson of Jackson St. was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Robert Tharpe of Powell St. was charged with violation of probation.

     Josh Gallimore of Peaceful Meadows Ln. was charged with failure to pay a fine out of KY and charged as a fugitive from justice.

     A break in on Maple St. was reported when a neighbor saw 3 black males in a small white car leave a home where the residents were gone on vacation.  Entry was made through a back door and taken was a play station, games, DVD’s and a cell phone.

       A fight at Largo’s Bar and Grill resulted in the victim being taken to HCMC and then air lifted by Helicopter to Nashville for surgery.  Witness stated that the subject had been hit over the head with a beer bottle and then kicked in the head.
