Arrests   3/28/08

      In a statistical report for the month of January at the Henry County Correctional facility an average of 175 prisoners were housed in the  jail per day.  68 of those prisoners were state prisoners generating $68,793 in revenue from the state to the county General Fund.  

     The Inmate Commissary  generated  $1,223 in revenue  and Inmate Receivables generated  $2,518 in revue for the General Fund for the month. Officers served 876  civil and criminal papers. 33 arrests and citations were  issued for driving violations .  4 motorists were charged with DUI and 9 were charged with driving on revoked or suspended diver's licenses.  2 vehicles were seized due to drivers driving while intoxicated or on revoked driver's license.  The Metro Crime Unit  and the Henry County Sheriff's office  made 28 drug arrests and seized $445.00.

  Deputies cruisers traveled 51,198 miles while on patrol, transporting prisoners to state institutions and juvenile detention facilities, answering citizen complaints, serving papers and performing official duties.

     890 business, schools and residences were checked during the month and no doors were found open.

     The Criminal Investigation Division opened 59 cases.  17 cases were suspended, 30 were closed and 12 arrests were made.

     The Henry  County High School Resource Officer misdemeanor arrests and citations, 4 reports  and 8 complaints.  Officers attended 5 after school events and taught 8 DARE classes. 

 

Arrests  3/27/08

     Phillip Bomar of Camden was held without bond  and  charged with violation of probation.

     Kevin  Jackson of Lois St. was held without bond and charged with introduction of contraband into a penal institution.

     Charles Pruett of Cowan St. was held without bond and charged with driving on a suspended driver's license, violation of an order of protection and  violation off probation.

     Tools were reported stolen from a house under construction on Elkhorn Nobles Rd.

Arrests  3/26/08

     The Henry County Sheriff's office has issued a BOLO for James Gates after he  showed up at his ex-girlfriends home on Mayberry Rd. and threatened them with a gun.  Gates fled the scene and sped off  when officers followed him down  Poplar Grove Rd to Hwy 69s.    In an attempt to evade deputies Gates  went down a dirt road where he left his vehicle and ran into the woods.

Arrests  3/25

     John Ramon of Hill Road was charged with public intoxication.

     Mark Sander of Dover was charged with domestic assault.

     Nathan Bates Sr, of Steele Rd. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Ramon Hermocillo of Henry was DUI, violation of the implied consent law and driving without a driver's license.

     A juvenile from Martin was arrested for smoking marijuana outside the Third Floor on Washington St.  He was cited and turned over to his parents.

     A piece of exercise equipment valued at $800 was reported stolen from a shed on Chickasaw St.

       2 chain saws were stolen from a shed on Birds Creek Rd.

     Rims  off a tractor were reported stolen from a barn on HWY 69.

     

Arrests  3/22/08

     Demarcus McClinton of Milan was charged with attempt to committee murder, especially aggravated  burglary and aggravated assault.

Scalett Ezell of Old McKenzie  Hwy was charged with evading arrest and drag racing.

     Kent Young of Guthrie Road was charged with tampering with evidence, evading arrests and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     A vehicle parked at the 'Take Me Back' Cafe was broken into.  Stolen were 50 CDs, sunglass, prescription drugs, a socket set  and an Ivory Pool stick. 

Arrests  3/20/08

          2 business on E Wood St. were the targets of thieves.  State Farm was broken into.  Taken was $160 and credit cards.  Entry to the business was mad through the back window. Someone also attempted to break into Nationwide Insurance.  Pry marks were found on the door. 

     A white mini van with a full tank of gas was reported stolen from the parking lot of LI Smith and Associates.   

Arrests  3/14/08

     Bobby Patton of Henry was charged with robbery.

     Carol Owens of Hilltop Drive was arrested by State Trooper Marty Tyler and charged with a 3rd DUI, a 2nd driving on a revoked driver's license, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.  

     A break-in was reported at a residence on Hwy 79S.  The door of the vacant house had been kicked in and an antique Singer sewing machine taken.

     

Arrests  3/13/08

     Shanun Carper of India Rd was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia  and theft of road signs.  The arrest occurred when officers were called to the residence by the Department of Children's Services after removing 2 children from the house and reporting drinking and drugs at the home .

  Arrests  3/11/08

     Corey Bernardo of Market St. was charged as a fugitive from justice out of KY.

     Tanner Carter of Harrison Apt. was charged with 2 counts of possession of a schedule 1 drug with intent, possession of a scheduled 4 drug with intent,  possession of a schedule 6 drug with intent and introduction on a controlled substance into a penal institution.

     Tommy Hutson of Cowpath Rd. was charged with a4th DUI, violation of the open container law and violation of the implied consent law.  The arrest occurred when Hutson was stopped for speeding and the officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol.

     David Bryant and Kameron Schuchaardt, both of Guthrie Rd were charged with possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.  The arrest occurred when an officer arrived at the residence in response to a complaint of a car horn alarm sounding  and smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the residence. 

Arrests  3/5/08

          Ronald Wade Jr. was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug.  He was also cited for speeding.  The arrest occurred when Wade was clocked doing 70 mph in a 45mph zone on Hwy 69N.  With the help of K9 Striker cocaine was discovered  in the passenger side door and a gun  under the front seat. 

Arrests  3/5/08

       Phillip Clark of Big Sandy was charged with DUI, violation of the implied consent law,  driving on a revoked driver's license and simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug.

     Steven Dykeman of Mandalay Rd. was charged with aggravated assault.

     A break in at a residence on Old Union Rd. was reported over night.  Entry was made through the back door that had  been kicked in .  The  house had been  ransacked and a TV taken.
