Arrests  7/31/07

     On July 29 Sgt. Dennis Vaughn, Cpl. Lance Perry , Officer Ricky Wade and Officer Mark Herndon were on routine patrol duties  and detected a strong chemical odor associated with meth production at 173 Whispering Pines Rd.  A preliminary warrant was drafted for the property and officers located a meth lab in a building on the property.  Several items used to make meth were found along with cooking meth in various stages along with finished meth.  Paul David Pratt of Whispering Pines Rd. was placed under a $50,000 bond and charged with initiation of the meth process, manufacture of meth, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  A haz mat unit was sent to the residence and a quarantine was placed on the property until it is declared safe.

     Other arrests include Scottie Owens of Hollow Rock was charged with DUI on Hwy 140S Sunday.

     Hope Carson of Henry  and Shana Travis of Bode St. were charged by Puryear Police Chief Dale Paschall 

Sunday night in the Puryear Baptist Church parking lot with  simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession and consumption. 

     David Reasons of Big Sandy, Brandon Merrell of Camden and Steven Rozas of Camden were arrested at The Office on Hwy 69S.  Reason was charged with simple assault, Merrell was charged with 2 counts of assault, vandalism and public intoxication and Rozas was charged with underage consumption.

     John Lee of Henry , Shawn Gorman of Ft. Campbell and Robert Irby of Elkhorn Rd. were charged with reckless driving on Hwy 79N Friday night.

     Joshua Taylor of Vandyke Grove Rd. was arrested at Sonic for underage consumption.

     William Dennham of Springville was charged with theft over $1,000 and accessory after the fact.

     Billie Bates of Wynn St. was held without bond for failure to appear.  

Arrests  7/28/07

     Taqunnee Hartzfldt of Cherry St. was charged with reckless driving.

     Jason Paitchett of Missouri was stopped in Puryear and charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

      Kenneth Stephenson of Hwy 69S was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. 

     Brittany Goodman of Camden was charged with theft of property along with Roseanna  Dorris also of Camden who was charged with theft of property under $500.

     Dustin Norwood of Copper Springs Rd. was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation.

     Zach Pallay, 49, of Dover was  arrested on an attachment out of juvenile court.

     Dinita Douglas of Copper Springs Rd. was charged with failure to appear.

     3 carburetors from  John Deere tractors parked in a field  on Lampkins Rd. were reported stolen.  The parts were valued at $1,350.

 

Arrests  7/27/07

     Garren Crafton of Springville Rd. was held without bond for felony vandalism and domestic assault.

     Justin Freeland of Old McKenzie Hwy. was arrested for violation of an order of protection.

     Jimmy Smothers of McKenzie was charged with driving on a revoked driver's for DUI.

     Bobby Abney of Hwy 77 was charged with failure to appear.

     Dustin Norwood of Copper  Springs Rd.  was charged with theft of property  and evading arrest.

     Ricky Stephens of Midway Rd. was stopped on Hwy 641N was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Eric Ainscovgh of Murray was charged with theft over $500.

     Christopher Capps of Jim Merrell Rd. was charged with failure to appear.

Arrests  7/26/07

  William McCoy of Brewer St. was charged with driving on revoked driver's license.

     Michael Howell of Buchanan Resort Rd was charged with theft of property over $1,000.

     Marvin Haymon of Alexander St. was arrested for violation of probation.

     Bobby Evans of Old Union Rd. was arrested at Howells Resort for driving without a driver's license and underage consumption.

     Greg Litten  and Bradley Wheat of Winchester Rd were arrested on Copper Springs Rd.  Litten was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and Wheat was charged with underage consumption.

     Zachery Lauphier of Dunlap St. was arrested for felony aggravated stalking.

Arrests  7/25/07

     Valerie Leonard of Volunteer Dr. was charged with simple assault.

     Bobby Evans of Old Union Rd. was arrested in the parking lot of Howell's Grocery  and charged with driving without a driver's license.  The arrest occurred when Evans , who was known to officers and known not to have a driver's license was seen driving the vehicle.

     

Arrests  7/24/07

     Brenda Cole of Paris Murray Rd and Larry Dorch also of Paris Murray Rd. were held without bond on Saturday for domestic assault.

     Jeremy Raymer of Macedonia Rd. was  held with bond and charged with failure to appear.

     Bonnie Hudson of N. Market St. was charged with burglary of an auto.

     Teresa Allen of Lee St. was charged with violation of the check law out of Benton County.

     Blazie Sypin of Puryear was arrested for theft of property over $500.

     Jeffrey Baham of Morning Side Village was charged with domestic assault.

     Kevin Wayne of Chickasaw St. of was arrested driving on a revoked driver's license.

     Terry Lackey of Atkins St. was charged with shoplifting on Saturday.

     Makecia Woodruff of Johnson St. was charged with 4 counts of forgery.

     Bonnie Hudson of N Market St. was charged with theft under $500.

     William Cleek of Lydia St. was arrested for harassment.

     Samanthia  Bell of Camp Tyson Rd. was arrested for child abuse.

     Terry Duncan, 18, of Harrison Meadows was charged with violation of probation.

     Joseph Eaves of Head St. was arrested in the Henry County Medical Center Friday night for public intoxication.

     Tina Penick of Irvine St. was charged with aggravated burglary.

     On Saturday Thomas Sheppard of Old Paris Murray Rd. was charged with  evading arrest, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, possession of legend drugs, speeding and failure to stop at a stop sign.  The arrest occurred when he was observed travailing at a high rate of sped on Jackson Dr.  He did not stop but continued onto India Rd., ran the stop sign on Shady Grove Rd. and continued down Shady Grove doing 70 to 80 MPH.  He ended up on Country Club Rd where he lost control and went off in a ditch.  He and his passenger suffered very minor injuries when the pick up trucks air bag deployed. 

      

     

Arrests  7/21/07

     Mark Peppers of Cherry Island Rd. was charged with domestic assault, aggravated assault and vandalism under  $1,000.

     Theft of a 1988 Red Thunderbird was reported from a residence on Elkhorn Rd.  The vehicle was reported sold for scrap  to a local scrap yard.  The victim stated that he had allowed the vehicle to be taken by an individual known to him who was suppose to take it for repairs.

Arrests  7/20/07

     Johnna Smith of Murray was charged with underage consumption.  The arrest  occured when the owner of the Spider Web flagged down officers and told them of the person who left and went to the 641 Club

     The theft of a rifle and shotgun from a Shady Grove Rd. residence was reported to the Sheriff's office.

Arrests  7/19/07

     Samuel Cross of Reagor Ln. was charges with violation of the bad check law.

     Keith Yates of Henry was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Laura Barker  was charged with violation of probation.

     Douglas Evans of Camden was arrested for theft over $1,000.

 

Arrests  7/18/07

     Sebastian Black, 21, of Caledonia Ext. was charged with simple possession of a scheduled  6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.  The arrest was conducted by Investigators Wyrick, Frye and Watson.

     Theodore Chapman of Hwy 77 was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     James Perry of Puryear was arrested at HCMC for domestic assault.

     Michael Schindler of Murray was arrested on Pennsylvania St. for DUI and simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     Thomas Tharpe of Pleasant Grove Rd. was charged with violation of probation.

     David Powell of Nance Circle was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Billie Freeland of Buchanan was arrested on Eagle Rd. and charged possession of a scheduled 2 drug with intent, possession of a scheduled 3 drug and possession of a scheduled 6 drug.  She was observed driving without a seat belt.  When consent to search the vehicle was given the drugs and a knife were found in her pocket along with a joint.

     William Gant of Free Silver Rd. was charged with custodial interference.

     Colby Rammey of Springville was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Andrew Hart and James Pack both of Ohio were charged on a capias for theft of property and hindering a secured creditor.

     Christopher Cummings of Irvine St. was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

     A break in was reported in Springville.  Entry was made through a kitchen window that had been broken out.  Stolen was a TV, DVDs, DVD player, rods and reels and  assorted tools.

     

Arrests  7/17/07

       Kevin Thomas of Murray was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Deondrick Allen of Mandalay Rd. was charged with driving on a suspended drive's license.

     Kimberly French of Springville  was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Edilzar Lopez of Springville was charged with driving without a driver's license.

     James Brooks of Browning Dr. was charged  with theft of property over $1,000.

     Dusty Hooper of Camden  was arrested on Hwy 641S for DUI.

     Richard Miliam of Buchanan was  arrested by Bottom's Up for public intoxication.

     Rickie Rogers of Minor St. was arrested on Tyson Ave. and charged with simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and possession of a scheduled 4 drug.

     Kevin Alexander of Rutherford TN was stopped on Hwy 79N  and charged with 2nd DUI, violation of  the implied consent law  and violation of the open container law.

     A Honda 4-wheeler, valued at $2500  that was on a trailer at the Pleasant Point Condo's was reported stolen.

Arrests  7/14/07

     Kimeca Adkisson of Huntingdon and Paul Olive of Mandalay along with Chris Pack of Caldwell St. were stopped on Hwy 79S in Henry.  Adkisson was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.    Olive was charged with 2 counts of failure to appear, one of those out of KY. and Pack was charged with resisting arrest, evading arrest,  theft of property and driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Gina Merrell of Powell St. was charged with violation of probation.

          The Tennessee Highway Patrol worked an accident on Rowe School Rd. where a motorcyclist hit a deer.

     $850.00 worth of rods and reels were reported stolen from a boat that was parked at the Blue and Gray Marina for repairs.

Arrests 7/13/07

     Sarah White W. Wood St. was charged with theft of property under $500 and public intoxication.

     Thomas Thomas and Lauren Thomas of Hwy 77 were held without bond for domestic   assault.

     James Williams of Nashville was charged at the jail with theft of property over $500.

     Jefferson Freeman  of Hardy St. was held without bond for violation of an order of protection.

     Debbie Madrey of Camden was charged with violation of probation.

     George Haradon of Riggins St. was charged with failure to serve immediate notice of an accident.

     Kimberly  Shearon of KY was held without bond for failure to appear. 

 

Arrests  7/12/07

     Adam Beasley Of Olive St. was charged with 3 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

     George Williams III was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Robert Alguire of Clifty Rd. , John Ramon of Hill Rd. and Joshua Partridge of Hill Rd. were arrested on E. Wood St. for possession of a controlled substance.

     Joe Stafford was charged at Henry County jail with introduction of a controlled substance into a penal institution.

     Joseph Stevens of Rolling Meadows was stopped on Old McKenzie Hwy. for DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     A 29 ft. travel trailer was reported stolen from R&R Storage.  The trailer was valued at $18,600.

     

Arrests   7/11/07

     James Bowen of Buchanan was arrested at Wal-Mart for theft of property.

     John Vaughn of Curtis St. was arrested at Henry County Medical Center ER  and held without bond with Melissa Tubbs of McKenzie.  Tubbs was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  Vaughn was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and rape.

     Marquis Anderson of Shelbyville was arrested in the McDonalds parking lot and charged with theft of property, (auto).  Anderson was a passenger in a gold Lincoln Town car reported stolen from Shelbyville.  A report of 2 black males car jacking the vehicle at gun point  were received.  The driver of the vehicle Joshua  Hillard of Belmont Ave. was charged with driving on a revoked driver's  license for DUI.  Warrants are pending for the arrest of Hillard for the car jacking. 

     

Arrest  7/10/07

     Ross Martensen of Dunlap St. was arrested at Pockets for simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug.

     Andre Tharpe of Mandalay Rd. was arrested for failure to appear on theft charges.

     David Cobb of Puryear was stopped on Hwy 641N  and charged with driving on a revoked driver's license.

     James Hickman of Huntingdon was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Donald Keith Thompson of Franklin Dr. was charged with filing a false report.  He reported the theft of a 2006 Toyota which had not been taken but left parked overnight.

     Roberto Juarez of Camden was charged with public intoxication.

     Roy Bain of McDonald Dr. was  held without bond for violation of probation.

     Jeremy Buie of Buchanan was charged with violation of probation.

     Christopher Haynes of  Martin was held without bond for violation of probation.

     Michael Henry of Replogle Rd. was charged with driving on a suspended drive's license.

     Ashley Sandoral of McKenzie was arrested at Wal-Mart for theft over $500.

     Wallace Webb of Tatortown Rd. was arrested Sunday for domestic assault.  

     Gail Hastings of Memorial Dr. was charged with public intoxication.

     Jason Booth of Dunlap St. was arrested at [Bottoms Up' for public intoxication.

     Michael Cathey of Mandalay Rd.  was charged with failure to appear.

     Joshua Harris of Routon St. was charged as a fugitive from justice.

     David Williams of New Concord KY was arrested on Hwy 641N and charged with DUI.

     Jason Mcalpin of McKenzie was stopped on Tyson Ave. and charged with DUI.

     Jerry Hutcherson of Blythe St. was arrested on Wynn St. and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Israel Patton of Wynn St. was arrested on a warrant for assault.

 

      Javier Martinez of Washington St. was arrested Sunday and charged with evading arrest, DUI, resisting arrest, violation of the registration law, and violation of the open container law. 

      He was observed speeding and crossing the center line several times.  Officers attempted to stop him on Market and on Rison.  He was finally stopped on Jones Bend Rd. Extension, but not before his female passenger opened the door of the speeding vehicle attempting to flee from what she later said was an unsafe car.  As he turned the car the female passenger fell back into the vehicle and the door slammed.  The vehicle ended up running off the roadway on Jones Bend Rd. Ext. into a ditch where Martinez was arrested.  

 

Arrests  7/7/07

     Suzanne Wilkerson of Meadow Brooks Dr. was charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law .

     Aleshia Billings of Hwy 77, Ashley Kaminski of Hwy 77 and Bobby Abney of Palestine Rd. were arrested around 1am Friday in the Hampton Inn parking lot and charged with underage possession and consumption.  Abney was charged with a 2nd driving on a suspended driver's license. 

     Jessica Biggs of Puryear was charged with failure to appear.

     Jessie Melton of Irvine St. was held without bond  on Thursday on charges of rape.  He is accused of raping a 17  year old girl.

 

Arrests  7/6/07

On Tuesday Deputy  Jamie Myrick and Sgt. David Powell responded to a tip that a wanted felon was staying at the Terrace Woods Lodge in room 101 or 110.  Upon arriving deputies observed Robert  Wilbanks standing inside room 110.  The deputies approached one of the occupants who was known to the deputies as Verdell Pack.  When the deputies requested Ms Pack to open the door she stated that she could not, that it was not her room.  Powell and Myrick then made forced entry into the room due to arrest warrants on file for Wilbanks .  When deputies approached him he jumped from the 2nd story window and fled while deputies gave chase.  An extensive search of the area was done and Wilbanks was not located.  Pack was placed under arrest.  Back up units from the city, county  and the state  responded to the area.  Located on Pack was approx. 8.5 grams of crystal meth, powered meth and other pills plus two bags of powered meth bagged for resale.  Verdell Pack, 50, of Powell St. was charged with accessory after the fact and 2 counts of possession of a scheduled 2 drug with intent to sell,  possession of a scheduled 3 drug with intent to sell and possession of legend drugs.  She  is currently being held without bond.  Also arrested was Kathy Wilbanks,40,of Broken Arrow Dr., who was wanted for failure to appear.  Seized in the arrests was $678 in cash and a1993 Trans Am.

     David Ecker of Buchanan was charged with theft of property.  He was accused of stealing a van from Ill.  The van had been parked behind a shed on Hickory Rd.

     Sherrise Robinson of Mandalay Rd. was charged with aggravated assault.

     Mickey Tharpe of Reynoldsburg Rd. was arrested at Hampton Inn for theft over $500.

     Gina Merrell of Powell St. was arrested for simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug, simple possession of a scheduled 4 drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a scheduled 6 drug with intent to sell.

     Steven Machen of Oliver St was charged with speeding on Elkhorn Nobles Rd.

     Kristi Allen of Springville was charged with public intoxication.

     Michael Busby and Rachel Hisey, both of Camden were charged at Paris Landing on the 4th with underage consumption and public intoxication. 

     Shauna Mullins of Hill Rd. was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Michael Schindler of Murray was arrested on Thompson Dr. for public intoxication.

     Greg Beard of Murray was arrested on Tuesday for violation of probation.

     Chad Barnhart of Hillcrest Circle was charged with failure to appear.

     Elizabeth Pace of Hwy 69S was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Justin Carver of Clifty St. was charged with underage drinking.

     Kevin Atkins of Boat Dock Rd. in Dover was arrested on Hwy 79N and charged with  a 4th DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Jennifer Burns of Clydetown Rd. was held without bond for failure to appear to do a jail sentence.

     A 16 ft. Jon boat was reported stolen from Springville Rd.

     At a residence that had recently been damaged in a fire the owner found a pitched tent and a pontoon trailer that did not belong to him.

     A pontoon boat trailer was reported stolen from Buchanan  Resort.     

    
Arrests 
7/4/07
     

     Spencer Shepherd, 18, and Raymond Purzycki both of Puryear,  were  arrested on Buchanan Rd. and charged with theft of property over $1,000, a class D felony, and  simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.    The 2 had been stealing car parts, valued at $2,395, which were found in the  bed of the truck.  A small amount of a green leafy substance was fond behind the seat.

     John Wayne Barnett of, 36, of McKenzie was arrested on Service Master Dr.  and charged with simple possession of  a scheduled 6 drug and criminal trespassing.   Barnett had been sleeping on a couch in a storage building and did not leave when caught there.

     Hope Baker, 21, of Paris Murray Rd. was charged with violation of probation out of General Sessions court.

     Brian Gilbert of Springville was held without bond for a pick up mittimus and violation of probation out of general sessions court.

Arrests  7/3/07

     David Johnson of Rison St. was charged with aggravated assault.

     Patsy Webster of Puryear was charged with burglary.

     Jeremy Dotson of Belmont St. was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license.

     Virginia  Angell of Cottage Grove was held without bon for domestic assault.

     Christopher Hadden of Elton KY was arrested at Paris Landing for underage consumption.

     Timothy Ballard of McKenzie was charged with violation of probation.

     Alfred Shaffer of Lark St. was charged with failure to appear.

     Cerina Childress of McKenzie was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Suzanne Axley of  Camden was charged with violation of probation.

     Colton Pierce of Springville and Aleshia Billings pf Hwy. 77  were charged with simple possession of scheduled 6 drug.

     Bros Tomaszewicz of Aden St. was arrested for DUI.

     Rayen Grimmes of Huntingdon and Heather Mantes of Winchester St. were arrested at Bottoms Up and charged with underage consumption.

     Tina Younger of Dover was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Justin Farris of Brook St. was arrested on an attachment.

     Aylo Lampert of Mandalay Rd was charged with failure to appear.

     Sherri Barner of Reynoldsburg Rd. was stopped on Mineral Wells Ave. and charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Antrun Russell of Nashville was stopped on Powell St. and charged with DUI.

     C.Charlio of Hill Rd. was held without bond and charged with domestic assault.

     Charles Blanton of McKenzie was arrested for underage possession and consumption.

     Michael Howell of Buchanan was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Matthew Willoughby of Clifty Rd. was sopped on Hwy 218 and charged with speeding, DUI, and violation of the implied consent law.

     Bennie Wade of Memorial Dr. was stopped on Hwy 69A and charged as a habitual offender , violation of the financial responsibility law and driving on a revoked driver's license.

     Thomas McClure of Nashville was arrested at Paris Landing and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

     Vandalism to several mailboxes were reported over the weekend including boxes on Benton Ford Rd., Old Springville Rd. and Winsett Rd.

     Gas was reported stolen from a lawnmower on School St. in Puryear and from a pick up truck on School St. in Puryear.
