Arrests  2/28/07

      The manager and co-owner of The City Limits Bar on Hwy 69,  Terry Cleary, 50, of Elkhorn Rd., who was involved in an altercation with a customer Saturday night  died in Jackson Monday night where he was air lifted to for observation after knocking his head on the floor and remaining unconscious for 20 minutes.    The incident remains under investigation and an autopsy will be performed.

Jerri Satterfield of Manley St. was  arrested in Hospital Circle for burglary from an auto.  Police received a report that a woman was walking around checking vehicles.  When officers arrived they did not at first see anyone but after a short time they found the woman coming out of a van, not owned by her, stealing items from the van.

     Jeremy May, 25, of Old McKenzie Hwy was charged with failure to appear.

      John Jacobson, 37, of Michigan was arrested in McFadden Trailer Park and charged as a fugitive from justice out of Michigan. 

     Calvin Blackwell of Huntingdon was arrested on an attachment out of juvenile court.

     Terrell Cowan of Bolen St. was arrested for violation of the sex offender registration law.

     Dennis Mewes of Jackson was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Danny Mitchell of Big Sandy was  held without bond for violation of probation.

 

Arrests  2/27/07

     Thomas Toomes was arrested at the sheriff's office on a warrant for violation of probation.

     David McNeill of Riggins St. was charged with public intoxication Friday night.

     Rhonda Runyon of Springville was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license.

     James Mayo of Powell St. was arrested for violation of community supervised service.

     Christopher Townes of Brown St. was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Kenneth Thoresen of Hwy 641S was charged with failure to appear.

     Tab Green of Puryear was held without bond for domestic violence, vandalism and underage possession and consumption.

     Danny Bowden of Frank Hart Rd. was arrested for public intoxication Saturday.

     Ted Jorgensen of Puryear was arrested on Puryear Country Club Ln. for DUI, driving without a license, violation of the implied consent law and violation of the open container law.

     Stephen Hart of Murray was stopped on Hwy 641N by Puryear Police Chief Paschall and charged with underage possession and consumption and disorderly conduct.     

     William Skelt of Hwy  79S was arrested at Poplar and Ruff St. for public intoxication.

     Trisha Hollingsworth of Puryear was arrested on 641N for public intoxication.

     Crystal Copeland of Murray was arrested on 641N by Chief Paschall and charged underage possession and consumption.

     Pam Hayes of Lincoln St. was held without bond for domestic assault.

     KC Granes of Old Paris Murray Rd, Jeremy Cillarreal of TX, Natasha Cernies of Cottage Grove and Aleatha Cerrones of Cottage Grove were arrested  on E. Wood St.    Granes was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession and consumption.  Jeremy was charged with public intoxication.  Natasha was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.  Aleatha was charged with underage possession and consumption.

     Austin Goodwin of Murray was arrested on Hwy 641 by Police Chief Paschall and charged with public intoxication Sunday.

     Stacy Simmons of Hwy 69S was arrested at the Econo Lodge and charged with robbery.

     Matthew Ruple of Mississippi was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm.  The arrest occurred when the vehicle was stopped for doing a U turn.  A revolver was spotted in the car's glove compartment when he reached for registration.  He then stated  that he had another  firearm  under the seat and he had no permit for either of them but hated to travel without them.

     An ambulance  was called to City Limits Bar .  According to police reports the manager and a customer became involved in a dispute.  The manager pulled out a bat from under the bar, the customer blocked the baseball bat and  punched the manager several times knocking the manager down where he struck  is head on the floor .  He remained unconscious for around 20 minutes  The manager was air lifted to Jackson for further evaluation.   

      

Arrests  2/24/07

     Henry County Sheriff's deputies were called in for back up when  Paris Police received  a call of a man with a gun at Memorial Park.  When officers arrived they found 3 vehicles containing juveniles.  When they asked  the youth to exit the vehicles one boy reached under the seat of a vehicle.    When permission to search the vehicle was given no gun was found but a small baggy of marijuana was discovered.  The juvenile who claimed ownership was cited into juvenile court then released to his mother and placed under house arrest. 

Arrests  2/23/07

     Bobby Abney of Palestine Rd. was arrested on a warrant for statutory rape.  Bond was set at $5,000.

     Joseph Wiseman of Gleason TN was arrested at the TN Technology Center and  held without bond  for domestic assault.

     Billy Moody of Ben Smith Rd. was arrested on Wynn St. for public intoxication.

     Elvis Ray of Depot St. was held without bond on 2 counts of violation of probation.

     Ray Gisler of Springville was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Gary Barlow of Reynoldsburg Rd. was arrested in the parking lot of Henry County Medical Center and charged with public intoxication.

      A license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle on Hwy 69S.

 

Arrests  2/22/07

     James Glisson Jr. of Reynoldsburg Rd. was charged in general sessions court with violation of probation.

     Gary Gannon of Harrison St. was arrested at Grove Park Apt. for domestic violence.

     Bruce Ivy of Springfield Ill was arrested at the Knights Inn on a state warrant out of Ill and charged as a fugitive from justice.

     Dana Prokop of Hill Rd. was charged with failure to appear.

     Quinton Boyd of Buchanan was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license.

     A burglary to a trailer on Rowe School Rd. was retorted to the Sheriff's office.  The trailer had been ram sacked, dishes broken, ketchup poured all over the floor.  The resident stated that it was probably the same person who had been stealing all the copper wiring in the area and selling it for money to buy drugs.

Arrests  2/21/07

     Hailey Lowe of Old Union Loop was arrested at the Hampton Inn and charged wit possession of a scheduled 6 drug with intent and simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug.

     Kerri Shoemaker was arrested on Washington St. and charged with public intoxication.

     Jacob Kennon of Springville was held without bond on a pick up mittimus and for failure to appear.

     A burglary to a trailer on Macedonia Rd. was reported to the Sheriff's office.  Both the front and hack door had been forced open.  Taken were jewelry and a jewelry box valued at $1,500 and a computer valued at $1,000.

     A Yamaha Grizzly 4-wheeler valued at $4,000 was reported stole from a shed on Hwy 69N.

 

Arrests  2/20/07

      William McCutcheon of Yates St. was charged over the weekend with flagellant use of a credit card.

     Heather Pierpoint of Cedar Grove Rd. was charged with harassment.

     Benjamin Bradley of Hill Rd. was charged with failure to appear out of Carroll Co.

     Angie Patton of Routon St. was arrested for disorderly conduct.

     Jason Priddy of Old McKenzie Hwy. was charged with domestic assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Christopher Nobles of Palmersville was charged with public intoxication.  The arrest was made when officers saw him walking unsteadily down Hwy 218.  While they was talking to him a friend of his came back and told him to get in the car.  Nobles refused and to prevent him from getting hit by traffic officers arrested him.

     William Zimmerman of Dover was arrested at Bottom's Up and charged with public intoxication.

     Thomas Chapman of Big Sandy was arrested at Bottoms Up and charged with underage possession and consumption.

     Willie Barbee III of Aden St. was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear and for filing a false report.   Barbee was also going by the name of Baker and had 2 picture ID's with different social security numbers.

          Ira Inman of Grove St. was arrested on a pick up mittimus and a capias out of Texas and charged as a fugitive from justice.

     Blake Swayne of Jackson St. was arrested at Knights Inn and held without bond for failure to appear.

     Brian Hutcherson of Jenkins St. was arrested Saturday for domestic assault and public intoxication.

     Zachary Whitworth of Alton Ill and Calvin Warren of Granite City Ill were  arrested on Hwy 641 by Puryear Police Chief Paschall and charged with underage consumption and possession.

     Maria Herren was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Telia Woodridge of Murray was charged with theft of property. 

 

Arrests  2/17/07

     Adam Evans of Cornerstone Dr. was held without bond on charges of escape.

     Teresa Cherry  of Hooper St. was stopped as she walked down Hwy 218 Valentine's night just before midnight  and charged with public intoxication.  Later that morning when her husband James Cherry, also of Hooper St. came to the Sheriff's office he was charged with public intoxication.  Teresa stated that she had walked out of the house after an argument.

     Talina Woodridge of Murray was charged with theft of property and 4 counts of worthless checks.

     Another report of stolen copper wire was received at the Sheriff's office.  The 3000 ft. of wiring, valued at $800 had been run ad was ready to connect to the power box.

     A burglary was reported on Foundry Hill Rd.  Missing were two pistols.

     Theft of gold jewelry valued at approx. $3,000 was reported stolen from a Springville residence. 

Arrests  2/16/07

    Adam Warren of Jackson TN, Joshua Johnson of Rison St. and Jonathan Tripplett of Tresevant TN were arrested by Paris Police Officer Michael Ramos and Officer Bussey at 344 Rison St. and charged with possession of a scheduled 6 drug with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver.  According to the police report Paris PD received a tip that the marijuana was being sold at the residence.  When officers arrived they smelled the odor of marijuana.  They requested to enter and were allowed in but were denied the right to search the residence by owner Joshua Johnson.  When the officers  said they would return with a search warrant they were allowed in along with K-9 Elgos.  A flower pot containing 204.7 grams of marijuana,  bagged for resale was found.

     Other arrests included Tiffeny and Randall Bishop of Whitlock Rd.  who were charged with harassment.

     Michael Dobson of Terry Ln. was charged with theft of property.

     Dominique Patton , 23, of Antioch was charged with evading arrest,  failure to appear and a pick up mittimus. 

     Juveniles at Lakewood School were caught buying and selling prescription drugs by Assistant Principal Earl Kendall.  One child was selling Ritalin for a dollar a pill and had been for several weeks.  Under the Henry County School system's 'O' tolerance policy both will be attending the Alternative School.

 

Arrests  2/15/07

     Jeremy Freeland of Rolling Meadows Rd was arrested for parole violation.

     A 2 vehicle head on collision occurred on Shady Grove Rd. a little past noon Wednesday.  The Tennessee Highway Patrol, EMS, Henry County Deputies and Paris Fire trucks responded to the  serious injury accident.

     The THP, EMS, Henry County Deputies responded to an accident on Hwy 77 on Tuesday.

     2 rolls of copper wire, 2250 ft. each and valued at $800 was reported stolen from a construction site.    

     A red Honda 4-wheeler was reported stolen from a shed on Kent Rd. at around 10am Tuesday morning.  The 4-wheeler, valued at $35,000 was returned by an unknown person by 7pm.

 

Arrests  2/14/07

     Johnathan Herren, 19, of Dunlap St. was charged with escape.

     Billy Buic, 27, of Guthrie Rd was charged with failure to appear.

     Michael Williams of Henry was charged with burglary and violation of the bad check law.

     Dustin Harwood of Copper Springs Rd., Vergil Samuels of Cherry St., Brian Long of Wynn St.          and  Zachary Farris of Belmont St. were all arrested and held without bond for aggravated assault.  The arrests were made by Investigator David Archie.

     Travis Serafini of Hwy 54 was charged with forgery.

     Danny Gardon of Old Union Rd. was held without bond and charged with violation of probation and failure to appear.

Tainika Bond of Jackson was charged with failure to appear.

     Sara Woodard of Puryear was arrested on 4 warrants for forgery.

     The vandalism of a vehicle was reported by a Buchanan resident.  The windows of the vehicle were all broken out and the title was taken and burned.

Arrests  2/13/07

          Salcicho Kendall of Washington Court was charged with failure to appear.

     Angela Tharpe of Mansfield was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Donald Gordon Jr. of Powell St. was held without bond on a warrant for failure to appear and violation of probation.

     John Harrison of Sedalia KY was arrested on Hwy 641N for a 2nd DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Luis Lopez and Jose Chagoya, both of Miami Florida were arrested on Pioneer Rd.  Luis was charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and a fugitive from justice out of Florida.   He shoved the officer and broke free but stopped running when the officer commanded him to stop. Jose was charged with driving without a driver's license.

     Troy White of Cruthfield Ln. was arrested at Scott Mart and charged with DUI, violation of the implied consent law  and violation of the open container law.

     Bradley Lanqois of Camden was charged with underage consumption.

     James Williams of Depot St. was arrested at Washington Court and charged with domestic assault and vandalism.

     John Holt of Murray  was charged with public intoxication on Hwy 641 by Puryear Police Chief Dale Paschall.

     James Mayo of Powell St. was arrested on a state warrant for violation of sex offender registration and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     William Collins of Perkins Rd was arrested on Lakeview Dr. for DUI.

     Bobby Abney of Palestine Rd. was arrested on a warrant for theft, simple possession and criminal trespassing.

     Justin Allen if Big Sandy was arrested by Deputy Bryan Hall for leaving the scene of an accident.

     Edward Kennedy of Porter St. was charged with domestic assault.

     Teddy Potts of Pentecost Rd. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Juan Torres of McKenzie  Hwy was arrested on Bevel Lane for a 2nd DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Justin Hoffman of Buchanan was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license and reckless driving.  The arrest occurred on Hwy 79 when Hoffman was seen entering the highway spinning his tires and creating a thick cloud of dust.

      

       

Arrests  2/10/07

     Danielle Myers of Routon St. was arrested on Forrest Heights for possession of a scheduled 2 drug, a class B felony, driving on a suspended driver's license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Roger Cook of Chickasaw Rd. was charged with aggravated domestic assault.

     Marrow McNeal of McKenzie was charged with theft of property and violation of probation.

     James Glisson Jr. was stopped on E. Blythe St. and charged with a 3rd driving on as suspended driver's license.

     Heather Powell of Reynoldsburg Rd. was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Adam Evans of Corner Stone Dr. was charged with failure to appear.

     James Arnold of Hwy 77 was charged with criminal trespassing.

     Murray McFarland of  Smith Heights Rd. was charged with assault.  The arrest resulted from an argument with a neighbor where  McFarland is alleged to have struck and shoved  the neighbor.

     Randy Blankstock of Huron TN was stopped on Hwy 79S and charged with possession of a scheduled 6 drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a prohibited weapon.

     Richard Hudson of Clendenin Rd. was charged with violation of probation.

     Angie Patton of Routon St. was arrested at E.W. James for shoplifting.

     JoAnn Ethridge of E. Wood St. was charged in General Sessions Court with failure to appear.

     Donjatese Turner was charged with failure to appear.

     Heater Bush, 26, of Dresden was  charged with driving on a suspended driver's license and failure to maintain insurance.

     A vehicle was reported missing from Replogle Enterprises.  The vehicle was missing from where it had been parked but was later discovered.  It appeared to have popped out of gear, rolled down the road and hit  a trailer at the work site.  The trailer was damaged and the windshield of the vehicle was damaged.

Arrests  2/9/07

     Gary Collins of Curtis St. was held without bond for violation of sentence.

     Thomas Thomas of Puryear was charged with violation of an order of protection.

     Andre Easley of Clifty St. was arrested on 2 counts of assault.

     Brett Stanford of Mississippi was charged with violation of probation.

     Melissa Jennings, 35, of Harrison Ln. was charged with fraudulent use of a debit card.

     Vandalism to K-T Clay on Ables Rd. was reported to the Sheriff's office. A lock on a track hoe was broken off and the machine moved.  A fire extinguisher was also discharged.

     A .22 pistol was reported stolen from a shed behind a house on Thompson Rd.

     A money scam was reported in which an ad appeared in the P.I.  The subject answered the ad and was told that a beauty products company in the U.K. waned to expand into the U.S.  The subject was asked to cash money orders and keep 10% for herself.  The subject stated she cashed the money orders and kept $270 then reported the scam.

Arrests  2/8/07

          An investigation by the Henry County Sheriff's office, McKenzie Police Department and the Department of Children's Services  has resulted in the following arrests.

     Robert Bierly, 36, of 5440 Hwy 69S.  Bierly was arrested Tuesday and charged with 2 counts of aggravated sexual battery and 1 count of sexual battery by an authority figure.  The arrest was the result of investigations of allegations that Bierly engaged in unlawful sexual contact with 2 minor females in Henry County in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and 1 minor female in McKenzie within the last week.  He was arraigned in General Sessions Court on Tuesday and is being held at the Henry County Jail on a $250,000 bond pending further court appearances.  Similar charges are to be filed in Carroll Co.

     Other arrests include Teresa Ellis of Eva TN who was arrested on an attachment for contempt out of Juvenile Court.

     K.C. Reed of Puryear was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Helena Richardson of Buchanan was charged in General Sessions Court for violation of probation.

     Robert Oliver of Springville was arrested at Paris Landing State Park and charged with theft under $500.  An employee in the park's maintenance department,  Oliver was charged with stealing  money from  the Paris Landing Golf Course Pro Shop.  He was caught on a hided camera crawling behind the counter and taking $100 from the cash box.  He later confessed to CID investigators Lowe and Eaker  that he had stolen the money and hiding it in a compartment of a lawnmower.  According to management there had been a problem with theft for sometime and the camera was installed without the knowledge of the employees.

      

Arrests  2/7/07

     Wesley Barnes of Springville was charged at the Henry County Correctional facility with 2 counts of failure to appear.

     Brandon Foster of Dudley St. was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug, simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and driving on a suspended driver's  license.

     Vandalism for the 3rd time in 6 months was reported at the Oak Grove Gravel Pit.  The scale house was turned over on its side causing an estimated $2500 in damage.  Wooden platforms were busted, an electrical box ripped out and the scales will have to be re-calibrated.

     A vehicle was reported stolen from a Springville residence.  The 4 door Mazda was valued at $12,000.

     The School Resource Officer, Buford Taylor, reported on 2 incidents at Henry County High School and one at the Alternative School.

     In one incident 3 juveniles left school.  They stopped at Fred's Discount Pharmacy and one girl went  into the store and stole several bottles of cough medicine.  The group returned to school where the young girl, intoxicated from the medicine became ill.

     Another incident resulted in threats from a juvenile to students and a teacher.  He threatened to come to school and start shooting people if they did not take him seriously.  

     The 3rd reported incident occurred at the alternative school where a student stuck a plastic fork in the hand of another student and threatened to cut his throat. 

 

Arrests  2/6/07

     The  Tennessee Highway Patrol reported a fatal accident over the weekend.  According to the THP a vehicle went off the roadway on Whitlock Rd., into a field and flipped killing the occupant who was not wearing a seatbelt.

     Carla Lair of Cumberland City and Gregory Foster of Erin  were arrested at Memorial Park.  Both were charged with public intoxication.

     Auas Beceerra of Murray was arrested on Hwy 641N by Puryear Police Chief Dale Paschall for reckless driving and reckless endangerment.

     Joyce Mock of White St. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

    Jeremy Bates of New Concord KY was arrested in the parking lot of the Spider's Webb for driving on a suspended driver's licenser.

     Van Lax of Puryear was charged with domestic assault.

     Ronald Laskins of Springville was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Stephen Crabtree of Brook St. was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

     David Norwood of Gleason was arrested on Fentress for DUI.

     Tami Thompson of Buchanan was charged with assault.

     Eric Ainscough of Dunlap St. was charged as a fugitive from justice.

     Jacqueline Huber and Mark McMinn both of McKenzie were arrested in the parking lot of Regions Bank.  Huber was  charged with driving without a driver's license and McMinn was charged with public intoxication.

     Zachary Hogan of Henry was arrested in the parking lot of Mavericks and charged with unlawful possession of an inhalant and public intoxication.

     Christopher Kinley of Cooper St. was arrested in the probation office and held without bond  for violation of probation.

     Johnny Pierce of Reynolds St. was charged with failure to appear.

     Melinda Miller of Buchanan was held without bond and charged with domestic assault. 

     Derrick Parrott, 21,  of Murray  charged with possession of a firearm with intent.  Parrott was pulled over for a registration violation on 641N when officers saw a 12 pack in the vehicle that contained 4 males.  Consent to search was given and a loaded .45 pistol was found under the seat.  Parrott had no permit for the weapon.  

     A stolen vehicle was recovered over the weekend.  The GMC flatbed truck was found parked behind a brush pile  on 69N in Cottage Grove.  A shed was also found broken into on the property and a chainsaw stolen.

Arrests  2/3/07

    

  Several weather related accidents were reported to the Sheriff's office on Friday.  None of the accidents resulted in major injuries.

     Jennifer Woody, 28, of Henry was stopped on Hwy 79 and charged with driving on a suspended driver's license and improper display of license plate.

     Donna Long of Wynn St. was charged with failure to appear for violation of the bad check law.

     Jeffrey Melton of Rowe School Rd. was arrested and held without bond  on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Keith Stafford of Dresden was held without bond for failure to appear.

     A burglary was reported on Foundry Hill Rd.  A window was broken out to gain entry.  Taken was a TV, VCR and a DVD player.

Arrests  2/2/07

     A burglary was reported on Head St.  Taken were video games, DVDs, a coat with a fur collar and medications.  The resident stated that he fell asleep and awoke to find the items missing from his home.

     Vandalism at the Clay Co. on Russell St. was reported.  2 males were seen running from the building into the wooded area.  The warehouse was found open and items in disarray.

Arrests  2/1/07

     Angel Comer of Whitehead Rd. was charged in court and held without bond for failure to appear.

     Tammy Young of Park Village Apts. was charged in General Sessions Court with failure to appear.

     A burglary was reported on Buchanan Rd.  A cabin was broken into and taken was a black powder handgun, a .38 Smith & Wesson, a crossbow, a compound bow, a camouflage suit and turkey decoys.  The cabin was not locked.

     A storage unit at D&G Storage was broken into.  The lock from the storage unit n had been cut and taken was a big screen TV, computer monitor, printer, and keyboard.
