Arrests  2/28/08

     Joe Carey of Rolling Meadows Rd. was charged with domestic assault and held without bond.

     Kristopher  Dumas of  Lankford Rd was charged with assault.

The Henry County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible scam.  According to the report a local woman applied on line for a job as a tele-marketer with the American Deaf Foundation.  She was sent  instructions on sending a check by Western Union to cash.  A few days later she received a check by UPS for $3,000 .

 

Arrests  2/27/08

     Tomika Wharton of Henry was arrested on warrants out of Wilson County.  During the arrest a search of her purse found over 12 grams of marijuana.  Wharton was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

     A trailer was reported stolen from a shed at Pineview Court.  The lock on the shed had been  cut.

Arrests  2/26/08

     James Sanders of N. Poplar Street was charged with evading arrest and driving on a suspended driver's license.  The arrest happened when Paris Police officers  noticed the vehicle had no tags.  Officers pulled behind Sanders who then sped up to evade arrest.  Sanders lost control of his vehicle and to stop Sanders officers used their vehicle to stop him as he lost control of the car.

     A break in at a residence on Blackberry Lane was reported.  The residence was entered thru the back door. Missing  were DVDs, an air compressor and a refrigerator.

Arrest  2/25/08

     The Henry County Sheriff Office and the Metro Crime Unit arrested Kimberlie Bradberry and Rick Mc Alister of Dresden on charges of promotion of manufacture  of meth when the 2 purchased large amounts of pseudoephedrine at a local pharmacy. 

     Paris Police stopped a vehicle on Washington St. for running a stop sign  Officers detected a strong odor of alcohol in the vehicle.  Randy Johnson of Chickasaw  St. failed s4veral field sobriety test and was charged with  DUI.  During booking Johnson denied having any illegal substance on his person but a search located a rock of cocaine which he grabbed from the officer and attempted to swallow.  The rock was retrieved and Johnson was charged with  introduction of a contraband  substance into a penal institution and tampering with evidence.  

Arrests  2/16/08

     The Henry County Sheriff's Office  answered a report of a possible stolen pit bull dog on Whitlock Rd.  According to the complainant the dog showed up at her home and in the morning someone who claimed to be the owner arrived.  Not 100% sure it was the real owner she contacted the authorities,  By then the dog had run off and returning.  The complainant finally chained the dog up in  the front yard.  The complainant stated that the next morning when she awoke 2 people were attempting to load the dog into  the back of a car.  When they saw the resident they took off.  Apparently the animal had been attacking other dogs in the neighborhood.   According to the complainant deputies have placed the dog under 'SHOOT TO KILL" orders.

Arrests  2/15/08

     Paris Police arrested Rene Jimenez Jr. of Memorial Drive when they were contacted by Wall-mart’s Loss Prevention Team.  Jimenez was caught attempting to steal food and a stuffed animal valued at under $5.00.

     Other arrests include Byran Henry of Smith Heights Road who was charged with evading arrest and simple possession of a schedule six drug.  

     Raymond Watkins of Lampkins Road  was charged with domestic assault.

Arrests  2/12/08      

      Paris Police Officers arrested Christina Doede of Grove Apartments over the weekend. The arrest accrued when a plumber reported to the manager there was a strong odor of marijuana in the apartment and three children were present.  Dustin Hilliard who was banned from the apartment complex on Feb 4th was present.   In the search of the apartment a large glass marijuana pipe was found.  Hilliard was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.  Doede was sited for having three small children present.

      Other arrest included Wayne Bennett, of Illinois for Dui.

      Keith Young of Morningside Village for criminal trespass.

     Angelia Warren of Harrison Street for driving on a suspended license.

     Mary Mitchell of Guthrie Road for 2nd Dui and violation of implied consent

     Thomas Sheppard of Old Murray Road and Trevor Marr of Sandra Street were charged with simple possession of schedule six drugs in the rear parking lot of McDonalds.

Arrests  2/8/08

     5 drug related arrests were made by Henry County Deputies on Crutchfield Ln.  They included Brandi Mayo of Routon St. who was charged with  possession of a scheduled 2 drug, simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Christopher Kinley of Crutchfield Ln. was charged with possession of a scheduled 2 drug, simple possession of a schedule 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

      Jackie Tharpe of Crutchfield Ln. was charged with possession of a schedule 2 drug with intent, simple possession of a schedule 6 drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and held with out bond.

      Michelle Starnes of Buchanan Resort Road was charged with possession of a schedule 2 drug, simple possession of a schedule 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Donnie Hutcherson of Railroad Ave. was charged with possession of a schedule 2 drug, simple possession of a schedule 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.       

Arrests  2/6/08

     Brian Taylor of Byrd St. was charged with violation of the bad check law.

     Diane Tomlin of Hwy 69 was charged with DUI.  The arrest occurred  when Tomlin pulled into the drive in teller at Foundations Bank, formerly McKenzie Banking Co.  The teller told officers that Tomlin appeared to be 'high ' on something and delayed her until  officers arrived.

     The Henry County Sheriff's office reported that a mailbox and post had been pulled from the ground in Cottage Grove.

Arrests 2/5/08

     Dale Rogers of Fairview Street was charged with manufacture of meth and possession of a controlled substance.  The arrest accrued Saturday at the Fairview residents when Rogers caught his carport on firer while cooking the meth.  

      Two other fires were reported over the weekend one on Caledonia Street Friday and one at Paris Landing on Sunday.
