2/28/06
Joe Michalla of Puryear was arrested on warrants for aggravated assault,
simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Whitney Cunningham of Humbolt was arrested on Market St for simple
possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Chris Townes of Brown St. was
charged with violation of probation.
Brandon Merrell of Reynoldsburg Rd. was charged with tampering with
evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a scheduled
6 drug. He was held without bond
per the judge’s orders.
Danny Pierce of Reynoldsburg Rd. was arrested in the Kroger hopping
Center for domestic assault.
Arthur Tharpe of Williams St. was charged with failure to appear.
Harold Adams of Lavinia TN was charged with DUI, violation of the implied
consent law and violation of the open container law.
Bryan French of Highland St. was arrested for DUI.
Dawn Lindley of Lone Oak Rd was charged with filing a false report.
The sheriff’s office received a report of $2,000
worth of damage to a wheat field by neighbor’s cattle.
An accidental shooting was reported over the weekend.
A resident on Hwy 140W made a 911 call stating he had accidentally shot
himself in the foot with a pistol while on his back porch urinating.
When Puryear Police Chief Red Paschall arrived he found the victim was
highly intoxicated. The gun was
confiscated and will be returned after the incident is investigated.
A spree of paint ball gun shootings was reported over the weekend.
The vandalism was reported on Winsett Rd., Poplar Grove Rd. and Hwy 69S.
The yellow and orange water-based paint washed off the vehicles and
residences, causing no permanent damage.

2/25/06 Kevin Taylor of Hill Rd. was charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license. Carol
Thompson of Lone Oak Rd was arrested on Brewer for possession of drug
paraphernalia.
Scott Burket of London KY was charged with driving on a revoked
driver’s license.
Michael Miller of Florence Alabama was stopped at Hwy 79 and the 218
by-pass and arrested for DUI. Deputies
observed him doing 40 in a 50 mph zone and then slow down to 20.
He was crossing over the white line and when he stopped for the officers
he smelled strongly of alcohol.
Michael Chapman, 18, of Dunlap St. was arrested for failure to appear and
underage consumption.
Sherry Davis of Morton St was charged with failure to appear and public
intoxication.

2/24/06 William Long of Curtis St. was arrested and held without bond on a warrant for failure to appear and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Terry Smothers of Herman Rogers Rd. was charged as a habitual motor

2/21/06 Michael Lemmons of Secert Cove was charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property on Monday. Lemonds was identified by a witness to the break-in where he was said to have stole pain pills from the residence.
Tommy Taylor of Thompson St. was charged with driving on a suspended
driver’s license and violation of the registration law.
Shelia Peters of McClain Trailer Park was charged with violation of
probation.
Christy Dedman of Buchanan was arrested for DUI Saturday.
Jeremy Crutchfield of Irvine St. was charged with domestic assault and
underage consumption.
Christopher Brewer of Springville was arrested on Wood St for possession
of a scheduled 6 drug with intent.
Christopher Mahe of Cottage Grove was charged with driving on a revoked
driver’s license.
Chris Puckett of Park Village was charged with failure to appear.
Vandalism to a field on Chapel Hill Church Rd. was reported to the
Sheriff’s office. The newly planted field was found with tracks were a vehicle
had done ‘donuts’. Damage was
estimated at $2,000.

2/17/06 The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has received more information of a suspicious vehicle in connection with the Security Bank robbery in Puryear. CID is asking for any information from citizens that may have been in Puryear Thursday Feb.9th. Officers are looking for a dull blue or green, large vehicle, with a flat hood, squatted in the rear. The vehicle is described as an older “large barge” type vehicle and has faded color. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s office at 642-1672. CID has cleared the white truck earlier in question due to citizen tips and it is no longer believes it to be connected with the robbery. Nicholas Mallard of Spirit Ln was held without bond on charges of domestic assault.

Gary Wimberley of Blythe St. was charged with failure to appear.
Matthew Lee of Bethesda Rd. was arrested on a warrant for failure to
appear.
Jason Smith of Henry Midway Rd. was arrested on 2 counts of theft of
property under $500.

Paul Powell of Copper Spring Rd. was charged as a fugitive from justice
on Wednesday after being charged on Tuesday with violation of probation and
criminal attempt to committee 2nd degree murder.
He is being held without bond.
Jesse Palanki of Vaughn Rd was charged with forgery.
Regena Bryant of McKenzie was held without bond on 2 counts of failure to
appear.
Shomdra Byrd of Memphis was charged with violation of sentence out of
Henderson Co.
Harold Fuller of Memphis is being held without bond on charges of
violation of probation.
Morley Griffen of Puryear was charted with driving on a revoked
driver’s license.
Arther Williams of Mansfield was charged with violation of probation.

Christy Ward of Morningside Village was arrested on W. Blythe St. and
charged with criminal impersonation and driving on a suspended driver’s
license.
Alvie Milliken, known as Sweet Pea, of Morton St. was held without bond
after he was arrested on a warrant for domestic assault.
Jerry Hutcherson, 51, of Murray was charged with failure to pay and as a
fugitive from justice out of KY.
Theft of a purse from a vehicle parked at Matt’s Pub was reported.
The purse contained driver’s license, social security card, a debit
card and a credit card on which a$1,000 of items had been charged by the thief.
Burglary to Armor Siding on Hwy 79S was reported.
Aluminum poles, gutter hangers and 45 roles of aluminum, valued at $3,000
were taken.
Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department responded to a trailer fire on
Joe Milam Rd. on Monday afternoon at around 3:30pm.
Flames were seen shooting out of the windows by witnesses who reported
the fire.
At 5:24 am a fire was reported on Traywick R.
Henry Volunteer Fire Dept. responded.
The fire was in a garage used for storage and spread to the attic.

Tammy Staggs of Big Sandy was arrested for DUI, violation of the implied
consent law and violation of the open container law.
Jay Burton of Murray was arrested on Friday at Wood and Poplar and
charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug, possession of drug
paraphernalia, possession of a scheduled 2 drug with intent and promotion to
manufacture meth.
Corliss Adams III was charted with criminal trespassing.

2/11/06 Bradford Strachan of Knights Inn was arrested on Old Union Loop for aggravated burglary Thursday. The arrest came when the residents returned home and saw a light on in the residence. When police arrived Strachan was coming out of the bedroom. He was transferred to Western State Correctional Facility.
Harvey Waldorf of Big Sandy was arrested on warrants out of Benton KY,
held without bond and charged with possession of legend drugs, possession of
drug paraphernalia, unlawful caring of a weapon, evading arrest, attachment for
contempt of court, possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of a
scheduled 4 drug.
Fredia Davis of Benton KY was held without bond for driving on a
suspended driver’s license. The
arrest occurred on Foundry Hill Rd. by Deputy Forrest Kemp.
Arrested with Fredia on Foundry Hill Rd by Deputy Kemp was Shawn Davis
also of Benton KY who was held without bond on charges of possession of a
scheduled 6 drug, possession of a scheduled 2 drug, cocaine with intent and
possession of legend drugs.
Michael Chapman of Dunlap St. was arrested on Dale and charted with
unlawful possession of legend drugs and unlawful possession of a weapon.

2/8/06 Drug Task Force Agent Thomas Tharpe arrested Christy Henry of Bode St for sale of marijuana.
Christopher Kinley of Draper St was charged by Tharpe with Sale of
marijuana and possession of a scheduled 2 drug with intent.
Emma Hillward of Powell St. was also arrested by Agent Tharpe and charged
with sale of a scheduled 2 drug, cocaine.
Seth Brown IV was charged with a misdemeanor theft of property.
Jonathan Fisher of McCampbell St. was arrested on Chickasaw for criminal
trespassing.
James Johnson of Jackson was charged with failure to appear.
A Winchester Lever action rifle was reported missing from an Hwy 54
residence. 2 books of checks
were reported stolen from a Henry Midway Rd. residence.
Money was stolen from a cash drawer at Liquidation Center.

2/7/06 Richard L. Dunlap III, 63, of East Wood St. was arrested Friday evening on a state warrant, charged with assault and released on a signature bond. The charges stem from an incident in court in December involving the assistant district attorney when Dunlap is alleged to have grabbed her inappropriately.
Drug Task Force Agent Thomas Tharpe arrested Christopher Kinley of Draper
St for the selling of marijuana and possession of a scheduled 2 drug with
intent.
Doug Robertson of Buchanan was arrested at US Tool and Gauge and charged
with possession of a scheduled 6 drug with intent, simple possession of a
scheduled 4 drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jennifer Minyard of Henry was arrested in the Kroger Parking lot by Agent
Thomas Tharpe and charged with driving without a driver’s license and
possession of drug paraphernalia.
Robert Rick of Memorial Dr. was held without bond for domestic assault.
Gary Floyd of E Washington St. was charged as a fugitive from justice out
of KY.
Ricky Tunes of Wingo KY was arrested over the weekend for simple
possession of a scheduled 2 drug.
Alen Reves of Mayfield TN was arrested on Blythe St. and charged with
driving on a suspended driver’s license, possession of a scheduled 2 drug with
intent, simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug, possession of drug
paraphernalia and possession of a deadly weapon.
Charles Elam of Henry was held without bond and charged with domestic
assault, driving on a suspended driver’s license, violation of the
registration law.
Sunday Mary Barnett of Milan TN was charged with violation of probation
out of general sessions curt.
Timothy Easley of Louisiana was charged with violation of probation out
of general sessions court.
Jerry Hollingsworth of Bradford TN was charged with driving on a
suspended driver’s license.
Gary Marise of McLemoresville TN was arrested on Brewer St. and charged
with simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and possession of drug
paraphernalia.
James Nered, 52, of Wynn St. was charged with public
intoxication.
Randy Barrone of Puryear was arrested by Puryrear Police Chief Dale
Paschall at Puryear City Hall and
charged with reckless driving, vandalism of county property, criminal
responsibility of another and criminal trespassing.
Charles Williams of Paris was charted with driving on a revoked
driver’s license. Terrance Irvin of
Market St. was charged with resisting to stop.

2/4/06 Charles Elam Jr. of old state route 76 was charged with domestic assault.
Tools, an air compressor, paint and painting equipment were stolen from a
storage unit on the 218 By-Pass. The
items were valued at $14,000.

2/3/06 Jessie Carter, a local man, was reported as a suspicious person to Paris Police on Tuesday afternoon. According to Kenneth Cook, an employee at the Social Security Office in Paris, Carter was threatening to chain himself to the building to protest the denial of benefits that his application had received.
Carter chained himself to a light post on Commerce St. where he told the
media he intended to stay until he received Social Security benefits or he died.
Breaking no laws, Paris Police officer Clp. Brewer “left him with the
press as an audience” and called the incident closed. When Sgt. Cagle returned to the scene to check on the 55 year
old man later that evening Carter was gone.
Arrests on Thursday included Richard Gee of Scott Ln. who was charged at
the jail on 9 warrants for forgery.
Christie Stevens of Camden was charged with failure to appear.
Damen Lee of Lexington TN was charged with failure to appear and
contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Donna Tims of Dover was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
Danny Irvine Jr. of Old McKenzie Hwy was charged with failure to appear.
Angela Milan of Memorial Dr. was charged with simple possession of a
scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Charles Freeland of Shady Grove Rd. was arrested for theft of property
and simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug
paraphernalia.
DeLeon Moralis of Murray was arrested for driving without a driver’s
license.
Theft of wheel covers from a vehicle parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot
was reported to Paris Police. A
video surveillance tape will be reviewed.
A video surveillance tape of Lowe’s parking lot will also be reviewed
in the hopes it will find who broke into an employee’s truck and removed a CD
player from the dash.
A purse containing $300 in cash, ID and food stamps was reported taken
from an Allen St. residence. Arrests
2/2/06 Virginia Cleary and James Cleary of Elkhorn Rd. were charged with aggravated assault. The charges came after two 911 calls were received from their renters who said the Clearys were threatening them with weapons.
Danny Buie, 47, and Billie Buie both of Guthrie Rd were arrested on
Blakemore St. Danny was charged
with possession of drug paraphernalia. Billie
was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.
Anthony Greg of Cleveland OH was stopped on Irvine St. and charged with
DUI, driving on a suspended
driver’s license and violation of the implied consent law.
Jesse Palanki of Vaughn Rd. was charged with violation of sentence.
On Tuesday James Treece of Springville was charged with a 2nd
DUI and violation of the implied consent law.
His vehicle was found parked at the A-1 Auto Sales with the headlights on
and the motor running while he was slumped over in the driver’s seat.
Monday Jerry Clayton of Vandyke Rd. was charged with burglary and theft
over $1,000.
Kenneth Thomas of Poplar St. was arrested at the Magnolia Apts for
aggravated assault.
Jamey Baker of Thompson St. was charged in court with failure to appear.
Jason Smith of Henry Midway Rd. was charged with aggravated burglary and
2 counts of theft of property.
Jessica Herron of Petti John Creek Rd. was charged in court with
violation of the bad check law and held without bond.
Ira Inman of Memorial Dr was arrested Wednesday and charged with theft of
property over $1,000.
Over $1,000 worth of items, including jewelry were stolen from a Bethel
Church Rd. residence.
Arrests 2/1/06 Larry Stewart of Blythe St. was charged with violation of probation on Tuesday. Brandon Gream of Blythe St. was held without bond for theft of property over $1,000. Gerald Jackson was charged at the county jail and held without bond for violation of parole. Gene Milliken of Rison St. was charged with public intoxication. Robert Stewart, 19, of Brownsville TN was arrested on a warrant for theft over $1,000. Wel Trucking reported a semi truck and refrigerator trailer missing. The truck was found with the keys in it and no damage to the vehicle in an over night parking lot on Ross Sawmill Rd. The refrigerated trailer was parked at Camp Tyson Market. According to Wel Trucking an employee had quit and refused to say where the vehicle and trailer had been left. No charges were filed. A generator, valued at $1,200 was st0len from a storage shed on Hershel Sykes Rd. in Puryear. A .25 cal semi automatic with a clip and a .30 cal revolver as well as a DVD/VCR combo were stolen from a residence on Jones Bend Rd.
