Arrests   8/30/06   

    Richard Phillips Jr. of Memorial Dr. was charged with theft under $500.

     Anna McCoy of Puryear was charged in General Sessions Court with violation of Probation and on 2 warrants for violation of the bad check law.

     Michael Dobson, 19,  of Terry Lon. was charged with aggravated criminal trespassing.

     Nathan Wyatt of Minor St. was arrested on Irvine St. and charged with tampering with evidence and resisting stop, frisk and halt.

     Amanda Dominquez of Vandyke Rd. was arrested  on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Paris Police received a report of a stolen vehicle from Manley St. at around 3am on Sunday. According to the victim the keys had been left in the white 1988 Ford Ranger.  The truck was discovered on Glendale St. with the keys in it.   The vehicle was returned to the owner who stated that everything was as he had left it. 

     Vandalism to a residence on Hwy. 77  was reported to the Henry County Sheriff's office.  The victim stated that when he returned to the residence he found a window had been broken out and vandals had enter the house, dumped draws and gone through all the cabinets.  Nothing was found missing but this is the 2nd time the home has been vandalized.

 

Arrests  8/29/06    

     Theresa Ward of Buchanan was charged with failure to appear.

     Michael Burton of Hwy 69S was arrested on Market St. for DUI early Monday morning.

     Christy Willis of Waverley was charged with public intoxication.

     Matthew Boyers of Murray was arrested on 641 in Puryear and charged with public intoxication and indecent exposure.

     Robert Shands of Huntingdon was arrested at Bottoms Up for simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia .

     David Williams and Elizabeth Williams of E. Wood St. were arrested Friday.  Elizabeth was charged with domestic assault.  David was charged with assault on an officer.

     Jeremy May of Old McKenzie Hwy was arrested on an attachment.

     David Todd of Dexter KY and Amber Howard of Paducah were arrested on Hwy 641 by Puryear Police Chief Dale Paschall for public intoxication, simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     On Sunday officers arrested Elizabeth Anderson on Hwy 79 for a 2nd DUI, violation of the open container law and violation of the implied consent law.  Anderson was observed headed south in the north bound lane of Hwy. 79.

     A customer at Joe's Grocery on Pioneer Rd. was charged with vandalism when he left in a hurry and did not take the gas nozzle out of the vehicle.  When he drove off he pulled the pump out of the ground.  The store owner stated that he knows the customer and is sure he will return.  No further action was taken by officers.

   

Arrests    8/26/06  

     Forged checks were reported at Kirk's Trading Post on Hwy 79N.  3 checks for a total of $161 were written to the store .

     The owner of a burnt out trailer reported that the metal from the trailer was being stolen from the site on Vandyke Rd.  A check with Copeland Metals revealed that a truck had brought in 3 loads of the scrap metal.

     A pioneer radio was reported stolen from a truck on Old McKenzie Rd.  The radio, valued at $300 was located at the Pyramid Pawn Shop.

Arrest 8/25/06

      Terrell Cowan of Bolin St. was charged with forgery.

    Regina Davis of Cottage Grove was arrested for public intoxication.

      Kera Freeman, 28,  of Old McKenzie Hwy and Traci Walker, 29, of Manley Ave were arrested at Wilson and Fairgrounds Rd.    Freeman was charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and on an attachment for contempt.  Walker was charged with possession of a scheduled 2 drug and disorderly conduct.

     James Williamson of Depot St. was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Christopher Veazey of Cottage Grove was charged with violation of probation.

     Tanya Langlois of Puryear was arrested at Super D for forgery.

     Keri Shoemaker of Belmont St. was arrested on W. Wood St. for public intoxication.

     A 1991 Nissan pickup truck was reported stolen from Elkhorn Nobles Rd on Thursday.  The truck was there when the owner went to bed and was gone from the driveway when he awoke.    His wallet and a pressure washer were in the unlocked truck with the keys on the floorboard.  The credit card in the wallet was used at Swifty but there are no cameras at the business.  The victim reported that Paris Police were in the area looking for a motorcycle and  the driver was never located.

Arrests   8/24/06

     The criminal investigations division of the Henry County Sheriff's office has made arrests in the cases of several stolen 4-wheelers.  CID has recovered 6 of the seven reported stolen 4-heelers Tuesday night at 545 Hill Rd.  Investigators were led to the location  by a combined effort of investigations and leads over the last 48 hours.  Arrests at the Hill Rd. residence include 2 adults, 24 year old Kevin Taylor of Hill Rd. and Jon Caler, 28 years old, of Hill Rd. along with two 17 year old juveniles.  All were charged with 6 counts of theft of property over $1,000.  A bond of $10,000 was set for the adults who are to appear in General Sessions court on Aug. 29th.  The juveniles were turned over to the custody of their parents and are to appear in juvenile court on Sept. 6th.  The case is still under investigation until all the 4-wheelers are located.  Those that were located will be returned to their owners.

     Other arrests include Chad Evans of Cook ST for violation of probation and 8 warrants for theft of property.

     Jimmy Witherspoon of Memorial Dr. was charged with domestic assault.

     Brian Glisson of Irvin St. was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Mury Richardson of Rison St was arrested on an attachment for contempt of court.

     Theft of stereo equipment was reported from a Hwy 77 residence.  The items were found missing after a family Bar-B-Q. 

 

Arrests  8/23/06

     Jerri Coleman of Atwood TN was arrested for burglary, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, theft and evading arrest.

     James Glisson Jr. of Reynoldsburg Rd. was charged with possession of a scheduled 2 drug.

     Juan Paz of Cook St. was stopped for driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Stacie Teague of Lone Oak was arrested at the Pot of Gold and charged with 4 counts of violation of the bad check law.

     Karis Gargus of N. Market St. was arrested on an attachment out of Juvenile court.

     A break in on Whitney Branch Rd. was reported.  Entry was made through an unlocked back door.  Furniture, tools and diving equipment  valued at $6000 was reported missing.  The residence had not been checked in over a month.

     2 more 4-wheelers were reported stolen.  These from Hwy 79N and Holiday Acres .

 

Arrests   8/22/06  

     Jeremy Teague of Reynoldsburg Rd. was arrested for underage consumption.

     Patricia Harris of Harrison Ln. was held without bond for failure to appear on violation of Probation charges.

     Dustin Fisher of Kristia Cove and Michael Kennedy of Maysbridge Rd. were arrested Friday  for underage possession and consumption.

     Michael Gallimore Jr. of Morton St. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Roy Bain of Wood St. was arrested at Scott Mart for failure to appear.

     Cynthia Bush of Hill Rd. was held without bond on a pick up mittimus out of general sessions court.

     Elizabeth Ford of Jackson St. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license and violation of the bad check law.

     Tonya Hensley of Vandyke Rd. was arrested on W. Wood for possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     Jenny Page of Herman Rogers Rd. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license, simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and violation of the registration law.

     Adel Abdullatief of Chicago was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

      Marcus Olive of McSwain St. was charged with evading arrest and on a pick up mittimus.

     Jennifer Edwards of Powell St. was held without bond for escape.

     Britton Gream of Old McKenzie Hwy. was arrested on a warrant at Little General for violation of probation.

     Ronald Hart of Howell's Resort was charged as a fugitive from justice out of Mississippi.

     Kristan Clark of Chickasaw Rd. was charged with failure to appear.

     Several 4 wheelers were reported stolen over the weekend.  One from a residence on Old McKenzie Hwy, one in Springville, one on Albert Brown Ln. and one on Shady Grove Rd.

    2 saddles and accessories, valued at over $2,250 were stolen from a horse trailer on Whitlock Rd.

     A trailer valued at $2,200 was reported stolen from Hwy 140 in McKenzie.

Arrests   8/18/06

     Richard Lowe of Hwy 54 was arrested at Little General for Coercion of a witness.

     Teresa Conley of Springville was arrested on Blythe St. and charged with simple possession of a scheduled 4 drug.

     Kari Reeder of Guthrie Rd. was held without bond  for violation of the bad check law out of Madison County KY.

     A motorcycle on Lumber Rd. in Henry was reported to be on fire.  When deputies arrived on the scene the fire department was on the scene.  According to the owner he was riding down the road when the tank area burst into flames.

 

Arrest   8/17/06

Jason Hollingsworth of Log Cabin Rd. was charged with failure to appear, violation of the registration law and 2 counts of forgery.

     Joseph Williamson of Swan Bay Rd was charged with violation of an order of protection.

     Monica Hutcherson of Williams St. was arrested on a warrant for theft of property over $3,000.

     Teresa Miller of Highland St. was arrested on Porter St. for possession of drug paraphernalia.

     William Albert of Reynoldsburg Rd. was stopped on Wood St. for driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Kelly Kipp of Augburn KY was arrested on Wynn St. and charged as a fugitive from Justice and violation of parole out of KY.

     Ashley Walls of Washington Court was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

        John Vaughn of Curtis St. was arrested on Irvine St. on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Carol Thompson of Lone Oak Rd. was arrested on Hardy St. by Special Agent Thomas Tharpe for resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

     Vandalism was reported to a vehicle on Hill Rd.  The passenger side window was broken out.  Damage was estimated at $250.

 

Arrests    8/16/06 

     Evelyn Golns of Murray was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Britton Gream  was arrested at the high school for underage consumption.

     A burglary was reported to the sheriff's office,  The victim had been on vacation and returned home to find that the residence on Hwy. 69N been broken into.  The food in the freezer and refrigerator had been thrown onto the floor, left to spoil.  All the drawers in the rooms had been emptied on to the floor and gone through.  According to investigators the place had been  trashed.  The incident has been turned over to CID.  

Arrests   8/15/06

     Michael McSwain of Big Rock was arrested Sunday on an attachment for failure to appear.

     Charles Kinghorn of Kendall Rd. was charged with DUI and driving without a driver’s license on Hwy. 79. 

     Markin Patton of Porter St. was arrested on College St. and held without bond on charges of escape and simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.  The Paris Police received a tip that Markin was at the College St. residence and informed the County Deputies who had an active warrant for the arrest on charges of escape from the jail.

     On Sunday Brian Carter of Magnolia Tree Lane and Charles Pruett of Cowen St. were arrested at the Maverick on Memorial Dr.  Carter was charged with possession of a scheduled 6 drug with intent and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Pruett was charged with criminal responsibility of another.

Deborah Atkins of Cherokee Plains was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Rebecca Shadix of Palmer Dr. was charged with violation of probation.

     Michelle Starnes of Springville was charged with obstruction of serving of a legal writ.

     Danny Brinkley of Wood St. was charged with failure to appear.

     James Hayes of McKenzie  and Paul Smith of McKenzie were held without bond and arrested for aggravated burglary and especially aggravated kidnapping.  The arrests stem from an incident earlier in the month where the victim was duct taped to a chair in his home.

     Anthony Parker of Huntingdon was charged as a habitual offender for driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     Terrance Ervin of Porter St was arrested on Minor St. for driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     On Friday Morley Griffen of Hwy 140W was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Regina Bryant of McKenzie was charged with violation of probation out of General Sessions Court and criminal impersonation.

     Paul Beal of Bruceton was arrested at the probation office on a warrant for violation of probation.

     Christopher Capps of Henry was charged with failure to appear.

     Mary Roberts of Wynn St. was arrested on a warrant for theft of property.

     Duttin Campbell of Hwy 77 was arrested on the high school parking lot for DUI.

 

Arrests  8/12/06

     Danny Buie of Guthrie Rd. was charged with criminal attempt to commit 2nd degree murder.  Buie was involved in a stabbing at 406 Routon St. Wednesday night.  According to witnesses  Buie was pushed down, beaten and stabbed by Billy Baxley, who was also at the residence when the 2 began to fight over money.  At that point Buie grabbed a 5 inch Whitetail Buck knife from the coffee table  and stabbed Baxley 6 times in the leg, shoulder and ribs.  When officers arrived on the scene Baxley was sent to the HCMC emergency room where he was taken into surgery for his wounds.  Buie was arrested, while claming self defense

     Other arrests included Harvey Waldorf of Big Sandy on a warrant for violation of probation.

     Ricky Michael of Springville was charged with domestic assault.

     Eric Bradford of McKenzie was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Larry Raymer III of Henry was arrested at the Movie Center for public intoxication.

     The theft of medications from a vehicle was reported to the Paris Police.  The victim stated that she locked her car.  The alarm went off and when she made it back to her vehicle the glove compartment was open and the meds missing.  She stated that she had left the window cracked a few inches due to the heat.  

 

Arrests 8/11/06  

A stabbing occurred on Routon Street Wednesday night at around 9:30pm.  More information will be released by Paris Police on Friday.

     Rena Raulston of N. Market St was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

  Corey Puckett of Lone Oak was charged with violation of probation.

     Nicholas Sanchez  was arrested by Paris Police and charged with driving without a driver's license.

     Damage to the railroad crossing gates occured  at Fentress and Wood.  Witness on the train stated that a log truck tried to beat the gate, striking it.

Arrests   8/10/06

     $50 in medications were reported stolen from a residence in Springville.

     A break-in in progress was reported to the Sheriff's office. .  The Springville victim stated he was doing some work on a vehicle for a customer.  While he was gone the owner of the vehicle arrived, intoxicated, found  the shop locked, broke in and stole a welder.   

Arrests   8/9/06

     Teresa Miller of Highland St. was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license.

     Melissa Bowman of Little Benton Rd. was arrested on Hardy St. early Tuesday morning and charged with possession of a  scheduled 2 drug and criminal impersonation.  Arrested with her was Kelly Bowman of Huntingdon who was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license and criminal impersonation.

     Joseph Lark of Alamo TN was charged as a fugitive from justice

     A case of identity theft was reported to the sheriff's office .  The Puryear resident stated that 2 companies had contacted tem to verify account information.  The matter has been turned over to the CID.

     A burglary was reported to a Puryear residence.  Taken was a safe containing assorted rolls of coins and  a vehicle title as well as 2 cartons of cigarettes.

 

Arrests   8/8/06

     On Aug. 5th at 10:46pm a 911 call was received from 1190 Hwy 140E in Puryear reporting that a female had shot herself.  Henry Co. Sheriff's Office Deputies and the Puryear Police Department responded.  Cynthia June Starnes , 36, was found outside her residence  in the driveway with a gunshot wound to the chest.    First Responders and paramedics began life saving measures and Starnes was transported to HCMC where she was pronounced dead.   Starnes' husband stated that he found his wife after hearing a bang outside.

     Strands' body has been sent to the Medial Examiner's office for an autopsy.  The incident remains under investigation by Henry  County CID and TBI.

     Christopher Rogers of Robinson Dr. was charged with public intoxication and simple possession of a scheduled 4 drug.

     Christopher Travis of Camden was arrested at Maverick's on Memorial Dr.  and charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia .  Arrested with him was Benjamin Day of Holliday TN. who was charged with under age consumption,  simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     David Oakley of Locust St. was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at the Locust St. residence.

       Britton Gream of Henry was arrested at the Fuel Pro and charged with underage consumption, possession of a scheduled 6 drug, theft of property under $500 .

     William Norman of Buchanan was  arrested over the weekend for a 3rd driving on a suspended driver's license.

      Allen Turner of Dinkins Rd. was arrested on Valleywood Dr. for DUI.

     Mose Rice of Louisiana was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Larry Gentry of Stewart TN was arrested on a warrant for filing a false report.

Johnny Key of Fairfield Dr. was arrested on 79N for DUI and evading arrest.

     Charles Crider of Mayfield KY was charged at Paris Landing by Clay Riley for boating under the influence on Saturday.

     Terry Hayes of McKenzie was stopped on E. Wood St. for 2nd DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Corey Morris of Gleason was arrested at Bottom's Up for underage consumption and simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug..

     Nicholas Birchler of Illinois was arrested on 641N by Puryear Police Chief Paschall for DUI

     Christopher Brewer of Rison St. was arrested at Bottoms UP underage consumption.

     Arrested over the weekend for driving on a suspended driver's license was Keno Palmer of Rison St.

     Aaron Harris of E. Wood St. was arrested at Pizza Hut for public intoxication.

     Jennifer Edwards of Old McKenzie Hwy was arrested at Kings Bar on Brewer St. on a warrant and held without bond for theft of property, failure to appear and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Jimmy Dutton was charged with violation of probation.

     Judith Forrest of Buchanan was arrested on a pick up mittimus.

 

Arrests  8/5/06

     Timothy Hopper of Bruceton was charged with violation of probation out of general sessions court.

     Robert Tharpe of Crestview Manor was held without bond on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Tracy Attaway of McFaden St. was charged with theft of property under $500.  Lee Attaway also of McFaden St. was charged with filing a false report.        

     Steven Nance of Puryear was charged with Television in motor vehicle.  Nance had the TV in the  front seat with the TV screen blocking his view.  When he was stopped  he refused to sign the citation.

     Donnie Hutcherson Jr  of Henry was charged with violation of probation.

     Jeremy Taylor of Memorial Dr. was charged with a 2nd driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Scott Carroll of Spruce St. was arrested for unlawful caring/possession of a weapon.  Arrested with him was Ismael Camseco of Pine Grove on a state warrant.

     A table saw and drills were reported stolen from a home on Howard Rd.  Entry was made through an unlocked window. 

Arrests   8/3/06   

     Christopher Butler of Henry was arrested by Sonic Drive In and charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene when he was found speeding and would not stop for officers.

     Corey Puckett, 35, of Lone Oak  was arrested early Wednesday morning at Harrison Meadows and charged with criminal trespassing, he had been ban from the premises.  He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (a crack pipe), evading arrest, resisting arrest, theft of property under $500 and robbery.  Butler had stolen a bottle of Crown Royal from  Mineral Wells Package /Store on Tuesday and was caught on video tape.  When officers found him at Harrison Meadows Apts. he fled around the building but was caught and put in handcuffs, he continued to resist and kick a police so was put into leg shackles.  He then complained of being in pain and was taken by EMS to HCMC and released then  transported to the jail.

     Fred Conger and William Woodard, both of Ridge Dr. were arrested on Reynoldsburg Rd. and charged with public intoxication.  The 2 white males were parked on Reynoldsburg,  just off the road with open beer cans in the vehicle.

     Jacqueline Hutchens, 42, of Dunlap St. was charged with public intoxication.

     Edward Koebel of Whitlock Rd. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license, following to close,  violation of the financial responsibility law and violation of the safety belt law.

     Jennifer Minyard  of Hwy 77 was arrested on a warrant for 2 counts of forgery.

     2 paper machines in the Kroger parking lot were vandalized.  The coin box had been pried open and the money taken.

     A 4 wheeler, driven by juveniles was reported to be  operating on Mandalay Rd.  The female driver was cited into court.

     A robbery was reported at Eagles.  A customer asked for change and when the teller opened the register the subject grabbed approx. $80 and ran. 

 

Arrests  8/2/06

     Scott Bradley of McIntosh Rd. was arrested at E&W Electric Co. and charged with disorderly conduct.

     Ronald Samples of Jeffries Crt. was arrested on N. Lake St. and held without bond on a warrant for 2 charges of failure to appear and a capias for aggravated burglary.

     Gary Rich of Benton KY was charged with violation of probation out of circuit court.

A diamond ring valued at $1,000 was reported missing from a lake home residence.

Arrests   8/1/06  

     Micah Miller of Porter Norwood Dr. was arrested on Veterans Dr. and charged with DUI  and violation of the implied consent law.

     David Dunlap of Springville was charged with assault.

     Wesley Barnes of Springville was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license.

     Lenonel Paredes of Buchanan was arrested for DUI and driving without a drivers license.

     Rosie Alford of Lone Oak Village was arrested at Econo Lodge on a warrant for theft of property.

     Kevin Cathey of Robinson Scott Rd. was stopped on Cooper St. and charged with DUI.

     Robert  Bruce of Buchanan was charged at Wal-Mart with public intoxication.

     Baynn Butts of Hwy. 69S was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license.

     Angela Hones of McKenzie was arrested on Hwy 79 for DUI.

     A charge of theft of electricity was filed with the sheriff's office.  The complainant stated that the neighbor was plugging into an outlet on his porch with an extension cord and running the extension cord to the neighboring house after the electric and phone has been disconnected.  According to the complainant this occurred after he had told the neighbor "NO".
