Arrests      8/31/05

     Mandy Boyd of Paris was arrested Tuesday morning and charged on a warrant with domestic assault.

     Jonathan Herren of Paris was charted on a warrant with failure to appear.

     Christopher Rick of Paris was charged with failure to appear.

     Steve Cherry of Paris was held without bond per the judge’s orders for violation of bond on an aggravated assault charge.

    

      AndreEasley of Paris was charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     Vincent Antwine of Humboldt was charged out of Gibson County with violation of probation.

     Deborah Owen if Paris was charged with 3 counts of forgery.

     Joshua Stout of Paris was charged with burglary, vandalism and 2 counts of theft under $500.00.

      2 registered pit bull puppies, valued at $200 each, were reported stolen from Tanglewood Ln.

     Vandalism to the sign at the Springville Church of Christ was reported.

 

Arrest  8/30/05

     Arrests over the weekend included Rory Ray of Paris who was arrested on Reynolds Rd for violation of an order of protection and was held without bond.

     Christy Shaman of Paris was arrested for failure to appear on a theft of property charge.

     Aze Davis Jr. was charged with theft of property over $1,000. The charge came when a stranded motorist had his OK to leave a mini-van by his residence until the evening when it could be repaired.  When the owner returned the van was gone and according to neighbors had been hauled off by Davis to a scrap yard.

     Steven Hampton of Harrison Meadows was charged with domestic violence, domestic vandalism and failure to appear out of Carroll County.

     Larry Stewart of Henry was charged with violation of probation out of circuit court.

     Chandra Slater of Paris was arrested at the Club Erotica for underage possession and consumption of alcohol.

     Jerry Farrar of Dresden was charged with public intoxication.

     Charles Nored II of Paris was charged at Harrison Meadows on a state warrant for contempt of court. 

     Miguel Vega of Henry was charged with driving without a driver’s license.

     Gary Wallace of McKenzie was charged with failure to appear and violation of probation.

     Vandalism to Memorial Park was reported over the weekend.  Paris Police officers reported that the tennis court’s nets had been cut, trashcans overturned and trash scattered.  The fence around the pool area was cut but according to police reports may have been from an earlier incident.  Damage was estimated at $750.00.

     A burglary was reported on Chickasaw. The residents were moving and when they returned 4 boxes of Hot Wheels, valued at $500 were missing.  There was no evidence of a forced entry. 

 

Arrests   8/27/05

          Tanya Teem of Paris was charged with violation of probation.

     Joseph Long of San Diego CA was brought back to Henry County by Sheriff’s deputies and is being held without bond on charges of failure to appear.

     Brad Pierce of Camden was arrested for a 2nd DUI, violation of the implied consent law and failure to drive on the right side of the roadway.  The arrest occurred when he was observed by deputies to be traveling north in the southbound lane after leaving Foxy Lady.  He continued to drive on the wrong side of the highway for about a ½ mile before pulling over for the officers.  Pierce failed 4 out of 5 field sobriety tests.  He was held on a $2500 bond.   

     Jason Hale of Union City was charged with failure to appear.

     George Taylor of Bruceton was arrested on N. Market St. with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a driver’s license and violation of the financial responsibility law (proof of insurance).  Bond was set at $1,000.

     Rhonda Runyon of Paris was charged with violation of probation.

     Katherine Haynes of McKenzie was arrested on Friday evening.

     A McCampbell St. resident told Paris Police that around midnight on Thursday a woman came to the door saying that she was out of gas.  The resident gave her $5 and went to the back porch to get a gas can.  When she returned the white female was driving off and she had stolen the resident’s purse, which contained a checkbook, driver’s license and credit cards.    

    A mini van was reported stolen to the Henry County Sheriff’s office.  The owner, from Camden, broke down on Guthrie Rd.  The resident of the house where the break down occurred stated that the van could be left until the owner returned to fix it.  Later that evening when she returned the van was gone.  The owner checked with the resident, Aze Davis Jr. he said he would get the van back but asked that the police not be contacted.  The owner checked with a neighbor who said they had seen Davis and another person load the van onto a flat bed truck and drive it off to Copeland Metals.  

 

Arrests    8/26/05

     Marty Hutson of Buchanan was charged with harassment.  The arrest occurred when the victim stated that Hutson had made threats against him.

     Justin Tharpe of Harrison Meadows was charged with failure to appear.

     Jessie Wolf of Lakeview Manor Rd. was charged with theft of property and criminal trespassing.

     Joseph Herman of Paris was charged with aggravated assault.

     Drug Task Force officers Tharpe and Hardin arrested Stephanie Craig and James Craig of Buchanan Wednesday morning on Allen Dr.  They were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a scheduled 2 drug, meth, with intent.

 

Arrests        8/25/05

     Robert Tharpe of Paris was arrested at Scott Mart and charged with public intoxication.

     James Corder of Camden was arrested for a 4th driving on a revoked driver’s license and charged as a habitual motor vehicle offender by Paris Police Officer Michael Ramos.

     Tonya Wallace was arrested on a state warrant for failure to appear.

     Kenneth Horner of Murray was charged with criminal impersonation.

     Andre Easley of Paris was charged in General Sessions court on a state warrant for forgery.

     Tracy Attaway of Paris was charged with theft of property under $500.

     Robert Ditcher of Paris was arrested for theft of property.

     Kenneth Phillips was charged with violation of the worthless check law, theft of property over $500 and aggravated burglary.

     Harassment of a Guthrie Rd. family continues.  The victims reported that the subject is leaving birthday cards for the young lady in the mailbox, repeatedly phoning the residence and parking in the driveway.  The family has also received threats stating that he will hang them.  The residence has been placed on the extra patrol list.

     A juvenile attending school at the Central Community Service Center was escorted out for unruly behavior.  Taken to City Hall he was met by a parent and cited into juvenile court for his behavior, cursing and disruptive attitude.

     Vandalism to a vehicle at Washington Court was reported Wednesday.  2 tires were slashed and the side of the vehicle had been dented in.

     A push lawn mower was reported stolen from Elmore St.  The mower was valued at $300.

 

Arrests      8/24/05

     Arrests included Jeremy Robinson of Camden for violation of Probation out of General Sessions Court.    

     A Suzuki motorcycle was reported stolen from a Hwy 69N residence.  The owner stated that very few people knew he owned a bike.  The 1996 motorcycle was valued at $4,000.

     The Sheriff’s department had a complaint of stalking.   The victim stated that she had dated the subject for a while and then broke up with him.  He is believed to be at least 21 years old and the victim is a minor.  According to the report he has threatened her family, cursed her, parked in her driveway and cut her off on the road with his vehicle.

     Theft of items including CD’s a camera and a purse and its contents were reported from a residence in Lone Oak Trailer Park.  The missing items were valued at over $400.

     A cell phone was reported stolen to the Paris Police.  The phone, which was taken from a vehicle while it was parked on Wood St., was valued at $50. 

 

Arrests      8/23/05

     Saturday arrests include Patricia Mathis of Paris who was arrested at Pocket’s and held without bond on charges of domestic vandalism.

     Adam Ray of Buchanan was charged with leaving the scene of a crash with injuries.  

     James Preston of Murray was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     David Geffery of Phoenix AZ  was arrested in the parking lot of Wal-mart for driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Kimberly Shearone of Springville was charged with theft of property. 

     Chris Boxell of Huntingdon was arrested on Hwy 218 for DUI.

     Teresa Patterson was charged with public intoxication Friday night.  The arrest occurred when deputies saw Patterson walking along the roadway’s white line attempting to wave don passing vehicles. She stated that she had drunk 4 or 5 beers.

     Tina Kenney of Puryear was charged with sale of marijuana.

     Andre Easley of Paris was arrested at Harrison Meadows for possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Crystal Barnett of Springville, Greg Connelly and Traci

     Schloesser were arrested Friday night by Thomas Tharpe, Hardin and Lee of the 24th Judicial Drug Taskforce on Pleasant Freeland Rd for manufacture of meth.      

     On Sunday officers responded to Pioneer Rd in Henry about a stolen weed eater.  When they arrived they went to the front door while Michael Henry and Jason Mobley went out the back.  Mobley took off running down Replogle Rd., into the woods and across a cornfield.  Deputies caught up with Michael at his home were the weed eater was found stuffed in a crawl space under the residence.  Michael Henry who changed his story several rimes was arrested and charged with filing a false report and theft of property.  Mobley had warrants issued against him for burglary, theft of property, and evading arrest.

     Theft of an ATM card was reported to the Henry County Sheriff’s office.  Withdrawals of over $400 from several locations in Paris and Martin were reported.

     A break in at a Henry residence was reported over the weekend.  Taken were 6 guns at a reported value of $1,420.00.  Several fingerprints were found on the gun case.  The door to the residence had been left unlocked to allow access to the home for an A.C. repairman.

     $200 worth of copper wire was reported stolen from Rowe School Rd.   

     A spree of Mailbox vandalism on Cooper Springs Rd was reported over the weekend.  4 residences were hit, some boxes were smashed, and others were knocked over.

     Theft from a truck parked in the lot at Half-Way Point Market occurred over the weekend.  A CB radio, and knobs from dash controls, insurance and registration papers were taken.  Total value of missing items was set at over $ 400.

     A burglary on Hwy 69S in Springville was reported.  Pry marks on a shed door were found and a chain saw, valued at $864, was taken.

 

Arrests  8/20/05

     David Perry of Paris was charged with forgery.

     Lonzie Dunlap of Paris was arrested for domestic assault, possession of a legend drug and simple possession.

     Carl Dempewolf  Jr. of Murray was arrested on Hwy 140 W. along with Austin Goodwin of Evansville.  Dempewolf was charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law.  Goodwin was charged with underage possession and consumption of alcohol, simple assault and DUI by consent. 

The arrests occurred around 2:30 in the morning on the 19th, when the young men saw another man throw a cooler through the open window of their truck at the Spider’s Web Bar in Puryear.   A fight, reportedly started by Goodwin, between the men was reported to the sheriff’s office and Goodwin along with Dempewolf drove off.  They were soon stopped on Hwy 140 by law enforcement and arrested.

        Byran Parttin of Springville was charged with public intoxication.

     Roger Chase was arrested on a state warrant for violation of probation.

     Ralf Miller of Alamo and Timothy Smith Sr. of New Concord were arrested on Rabbit Creek Rd. and charged as fugitives from justice out of KY.

     Shannon Stracener of Springville was arrested at Matt’s Pub and charged with theft of property and is being held without bond per the judge’s orders.

     James Lagace of Mayfield was charged with contempt of court.

     Christopher Triplett of Paris was held without bond for failure to appear out of General Sessions’s court.

     A Lincoln St. resident reported a prowler to the Paris Police Department.  According to the victim she had found damage to window screens and strange noises coming from the yard.  The prowler had also left evidence of entering the residence but nothing was found missing.

     Tempo Auto in Paris reported theft of vehicle parts.  A carburetor, valued at around $250 was missing, possibly taken by a former employee.

    

Arrests  8/19/05

     Nicole Bray, 22, of Paris was arrested for aggravated assault.

     24 drug related arrests were made on August 17, the names released on Aug 18.  According to Sheriff David Bumpus the 24 arrests were from an ongoing investigation that was not only in Paris and Henry County but reached up into KY.

     Mickey Patton of Paris was arrested on Dunlap and charged with sale of a scheduled 2 drug.

     John Childers of Puryear was charged at the jail with delivery of a scheduled I drug. Mushrooms and as a fugitive from justice out of KY., trafficking a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offence.  Bail was set at $75,000.

     James Lagace of Henry was charged with promoting meth production and initiation of Meth process.  Bond was set at $50,000.

     Danny Gordon of Paris was charged with sale of marijuana, simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Heidi Shelton of Paris was charged with delivery of a scheduled 2 drug.

     Yachrisi Teague was charged with the sale of a scheduled 6 drug.

     Amanda Powers of Paris was held without bond and charged with manufacture of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     James Altice of Paris was charged with sale of a schedule 2 drug.

     Christopher Kendall of Paris was charged with sale of a scheduled 6 drug.  Bond was set at $25,000.

     David Perry of McKenzie was charged with sale of a scheduled 2 drug.

     James McKinney of Paris was arrested for the sale of marijuana.

     Eric Ainsaough of Puryear was charged with facilitation of a felony sale of marijuana

     Robert Starzec of Paris was charged with sale of a scheduled 2 drug, meth.

     Steven Baker of Murray was held without bond on charges of manufacture of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia

     Ken Steele of Paris was held without bond for manufacture of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Corey Long of Paris was charged with sale of a scheduled 2 drug.

     Ricky Allen of Henry was charged with sale of meth and as a fugitive from justice out of KY, trafficking a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offence.

     Raymond Parks of Paris was arrested on charges of delivering a scheduled 2 drug and simple possession.

     Derreck McGehee of Paris was charged with sale of a scheduled 2 drug.

     Anthony Schaefer of Paris was held without bond on charges of sale of a scheduled 2 drug, manufacture of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia.  

     John Webb of Paris was charged with sale of a scheduled 2drug, theft of gas.

     Dustin Foust of Mansfield was arrested on charges of sale of a scheduled 2 drug, meth.   

     Jeffery Whitehead of Paris was charged with sale of a scheduled 6 drug.

     Traci Schloesser of Henry was arrested on charges of driving on a suspended driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Crystal Barnett of Springville was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Shasta Kirk was charged with possession of a scheduled 2 drug with intent and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     On Aug. 16 the Henry County Sheriff’s office investigated a shooting in Springville.  The investigation showed that the wound was self-inflicted.  The subject was treated and released from Henry County Medical Center.

     A 4 wheeler and several other items were stolen from Stewart County.   Henry County law enforcement recovered the items from a residence on Shady Grove Rd.  The property was taken back to Stewart County where investigators will charge John Rowlette.

     A pit bull, valued at $400 was stolen from a pen in the backyard of a Puryear residence.

 

Arrests      8/18/05

     William Sowell was charged with manufacture of a scheduled 6 controlled substance.

      William Vickery III of Buchanan was arrested on a warrant for harassment.

     Jonathan Walker of Paris was arrested in court and charged with 2 counts of felony theft of property and felony setting fire to personal property.

      An empty house and shed on Eli Brown Rd. were broken into.  Tools and some furniture were taken.  The home was added to sheriff’s extra patrol list.

      Vandalism to a residence on Hwy 54W in Como was reported to the sheriff’s office.  The resident stated that there was no problem until returning home and tire tracks were noticed on the front porch.  A wooden support post was broken and red paint marks were observed on the porch as well as on a parked vehicle in the yard.

 

Arrests      8/17/05

     Kenneth Stephenson was charged with filing a false report.

     Tracy Gant of Paris was arrested for aggravated burglary.  She was found in a cabin in Buchanan where according to the victim she had not been invited.  The complainant stated that he found her standing in the kitchen naked.

     Michael Johnson of Buchanan was charged with theft of property and forgery.

     Vickie Donaldson of TX was arrested at Walgreen’s for drug fraud.

    Donald Holt of Paris was charged with theft of property over $500.

     Misty Duncan of Paris was charged on a warrant out of KY as a fugitive from justice.

     Several persons were charged with violation of the check law including Hope Byrd, Angel Powell, Shetigg Floyd, and Marlene Flanagan.

     A self-inflicted gunshot wound was reported to the Sheriff’s office.  When deputies arrived they found the woman had been attempting to clean an old rusted Smith and Wesson 32.   She reportedly was asking for another beer and appeared to be intoxicated.  Deputies took the gun for safekeeping.

     The theft of a horse and dogs, valued at $5,300.00 was reported in Puryear.  The horse and a bulldog with 4 nursing pups were taken by 2 suspects from Brownsville TN.  Local authorities said that the 2 men were well known to the local police in Brownsville.  Charges are pending.

 

Arrests  8/16/05

     On Friday officers from the sheriff’s office and the 24th judicial drug task force went to Raymer Drive in response to a complaint of gunshots.  Once officers arrived at the residence they found that Mary Johnson, who had been delivering papers, brakes had failed.  She was able to avoid the residence and went down a hill and came to rest on the pond levy, approx 15 yards behind the residence.  At this point the owner of the residence, Gerald Pruitt, who was intoxicated, fired his gun across the pond.  No one was injured but the driver was transported by EMS to the medical center for emotional and high blood pressure concerns.  Pruitt was charged with possession of a firearm while under the influence and a felony reckless endangerment.  Bond was set at $2,500

     On Saturday Sheriff’s deputies responded to E. College St in Henry.  A female victim at the residence stated that her husband that she was separated from, had fired a gun at her and then left.  He was located traveling down Hwy. 79.  He was apprehended and the weapon was recovered.  Wholes were found in the Henry residence where the victim had been shot at, 4 others were in the residence on the other side of the wall from the gunshot holes.  3 of the 4 were children ranging in range from 1 to 3 years.  No one was injured and Wayne Williams of McKenzie Highway was charged with criminal attempt to commit 1st degree murder, 4 counts of reckless endangerment, DUI and unlawful possession of fire harm.  He is being held without bond.

     Other arrests included Timothy Wyatt of Paris.  He was held without bond for burglary and 4 counts of aggravated burglary.

     Todd McClaire of Paris was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     John Maness of Buchanan was charged with failure to appear out of KY and as a fugitive from justice.  He was held without bond.

     Robert Collins of Paris was charged with failure to appear to do a jail sentence.

     Dwight Tharpe of Paris was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Robert Reeves of Paris was charged with possession of an ignition interlock device. – used in car thefts.

     George White of Paris was charged with a BUI and violation of the implied consent law at KY Lake.

     David Sanders of Puryear and Douglas Harrison of Springville were arrested at the 641 Club were Sanders was charged on a KY warrant as a fugitive from justice and Harrison with public intoxication.

     Danichhhels Caldwell of Paris was charged with violation of an order of protection.

     Mareka Kendall of Paris was arrested for violation of probation out of general sessions court.

     A stolen vehicle was reported to the sheriff’s office.  The 1992 S-10 Blazer, taken from Snow Lane, was valued at $2,000.  

 

Arrests      8/12/05

 

     Arrests reported at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office included Elizabeth Williams of Paris who is being held without bond for domestic assault.

     Kenneth Eubanks of Camden was charged with the introduction of drugs into a penal institution.

     Michael Youngblood, 27, of Paris was charged at Paris City Hall on a warrant for assault.

     A wallet was reported stolen from a residence on Boyce St.  The wallet was in a purse that had been left in a vehicle, parked in the driveway.  According to the victim the windows of the vehicle were rolled down.  Taken were a checkbook, credit cards and $40 in cash.

     Theft of a cell phone was reported to the Paris Police.  The phone had been left in a City Cab.  When the owner returned for it the cell phone was gone. 

     Another report of a cell phone was also made this week.  The victim stated that he had picked up an unknown person and given them a ride.  He noticed that his phone, which had been in the seat, was missing after the rider had left.

     A purse was reported stolen from an apartment in Park Village.  The purse was found missing after an individual doing work in the apartment had left.  The purse contained several diamond rings, credit cards and around $400.

     A 2-vehicle accident was reported on Mineral Wells Thursday.  One person was transported to the Henry County Medical Center.

 

Arrests       8/11/05

        Gary Odom of Puryear was arrested on Tuesday morning and charged with public intoxication.

     Michael Ramsey of Springville was charged with a DUI and violation of the implied consent law.  The arrest occurred when he was found slumped over his steering wheel in the parking lot of Club Erotica by Sheriff’s deputies.  When he was awakened by officers he had a strong odor of alcohol on his person and failed field sobriety tests.

     Arrested on Thursday afternoon  - Debra Taylor for failure to serve a jail sentence.

     Fontain Baker Jr. of Springville was charged with a DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Tracey Hughes of Paris was arrested on Routon St. for a 5th driving on a revoked driver’s license, violation of the seat belt law and violation of financial responsibility (no proof of insurance.)

     Joshua Wilson was charged with failure to appear out of Benton County.

     Adam Hightower of Camden was held without bond for failure to appear.

     Timothy Wyatt of Paris was arrested on 11 counts of arson and 11 counts of burglary.  He is being held without bond.

     Lindsey Bartlett of Camden was arrested at Wal-Mart for shoplifting and simple possession.

     Gary Flowers of Camden was charged with vandalism under $500, aggravated burglary and theft of property over $500.

     The Sheriff’s office received a report of the theft of Aluminum fuel tanks that fit a Mac truck and the theft of a pallet of scrap aluminum.  The metal was valued at $2,500.

     A student broke out a school bus window with his fist.  He said that he was angry but didn’t state the cause of his anger.  The bleeding was stopped and he was released to the custody of his mother.  Damage was estimated at $35 to $40.

         

     Theft from the radio tower on Wood St was reported by Chuck’s Radio.  The chain to the tower site had been cut and the shed broken into.  Missing was a radio transmitter power amp.  Which was used by Henry County Recycling and Paris Cab Co.

     An accident was reported on Forrest Drive this morning.  A vehicle had rolled over and one person was taken to Henry County Medical Center.

 

Arrests    8/11/05

     David Baker of Camden was charged with aggravated burglary, theft over $500 and vandalism under $500.

     Tammy Threalt of Mississippi was charged as a fugitive from Justice.

     Mary Beth Beauregard of Paris was charged in court with violation of probation.

     Terrance Hutcherson was also charged in court with violation of probation.

     Michael Bullington of Paris was charged with domestic assault.  The incident occurred when his sister did not stop a baby in the house from crying.

     Kendall Hurt of Paris was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     A barn fire on Barks Levy Rd. was investigated by the fire marshal.  Natural causes were ruled out and was blamed on human  factors.  The 3-sided pole barn was a complete loss and is still under investigation.

     The theft of a DVD and a Play Station 2 game from the Video Store in Buchanan was reported to the Sheriff’s office.

     An aggravated burglary in McKenzie was reported.  $970 worth of items including a ceiling fan, band saw and drill press wee reported stolen.

     A Thompson St. resident reported the theft of an ATM card while the residents were in jail on assault charges.  $200 was withdrawn from the account.  A video tape showed a black male using the card.

 

Arrests     8/10/05

     No new arrests were reported on Monday although several reports were turned into the Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office.

     The theft of a pit bull a boxer and a horse were reported to the sheriff’s office.  The animals were taken from a residence on Hwy 140W.  The animals were later returned and no charges were filed.

          Theft of items at a construction site earlier this week were listed as saws, extension cords and hand tools valued at $2,275.00

     Vandalism to the ATM at AmSouth on Mineral Wells was reported to the Paris Police.  The screen had been smashed, damage was estimated at $5,000.00

     Arrests over the weekend included William Roddey of Henry who was charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     Shaun Coumbe of Paris was charged with a DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Roy Kennon of Paris was charged with a 2nd driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Henry Kelly of Paris was charged with failure to appear.

     Jessica Winter of Hollow Rock was arrested at Wal-Mart for shopping lifting.

     James Beauregard of Paris was charged with simple possession of a schedule 6 drug, simple possession of a scheduled 4 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Sara White of Paris was arrested for driving without a driver’s license and violation of probation.

     Jonathan Herren of Paris was charged with assault.

     William Johnson Jr. of Paris was charged with violation of probation.

     Donna Griemsmonn of Paris was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Dora Meen of Buchanan was arrested at the Central Community Center and charged with child abuse/neglect and placed under a $1,000 bond.

     Rodger Chase Jr. was arrested on a warrant for aggravated assault.

     Sean O’Donnell of Springville was held without bond on charges of domestic assault.

     Christopher Faulkner of Trenton was arrested for a DUI and possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     John Howard of Paris was charged with domestic assault.

     Terrence Hutcherson of McKenzie, 24 years of age, was  charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license and as a habitual motor vehicle offender.

     Israel Patton of Paris was charged with public intoxication.

     John Summer of Cadiz KY was arrested at Paris Landing Marina and charged with boating under the influence.

     Jackie Tharpe of Paris was held without bond and charged with failure to appear and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     John Simmons of Dresden was charged on Ruff St. with simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.    

     Charles Wasson of Mississippi was charged with domestic assault and DUI on Hwy 641S.

     David Perry was charged with possession of a legend drug.

     Rhonda Brackett of Dresden was charged with 2 counts of failure to appear.

     Robert Tharpe was charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     William Tomlin Jr. was of Buchanan was held without bond and charged with domestic assault.

         John Webb was arrested for violation of probation.

     Richard Siler was charged with domestic assault.

     James Boygess of Murray was charged with simple possession of scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Sherry Hart was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Kimberly Pierce of Paris was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and driving on an expired driver’s license.

     Donald Watkins of Paris was charged with a 2nd DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     19-year-old Terry Bell of Purer was charged with underage possession of alcohol.  Mark Pierce, also of Puryear was charged with underage possession and consumption of alcohol.

     Thomas Denton of Paris was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon.   

     Cathy Mosely of Paris was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Early Saturday morning deputies answered a call of a disturbance in the parking lot of Matt’s Pub on Hwy 79.  4 men from Springville were in an altercation in which one was stabbed in the lower abdomen with a knife.  He was taken to Henry County Medical Center.  Charged in the incident was Harold Gorman with aggravated assault.     

 

Arrests   8/5/05

     Juan Allen of Paris was arrested on 2 warrants for failure to appear and is being held without bond.

     Vickie Francis of St. Louis was arrested at Hilltop Lodge and is being held without bond for domestic assault.

     Corey Teague of Paris was charged with failure to appear and is being held without bond.

     Kimberly Wilson of Paris was arrested at Wal-Mart Thursday and charged with forgery and fraudulent use of a credit card.

     Randy Hall of Paris was charged with domestic assault and filing false police reports.

     David Perry Jr. was charged with 3 counts of forgery.

     Theft of medications from a vehicle parked at Eye Wear Express on Mineral Wells was reported to Paris Police.   Taken from the unlocked truck were several medications including 7 days worth of Methadone.

     A 2-vehicle accident was reported at the entrance to the Wal-Mart Parking lot. One person was injured when the passenger side of the vehicle was hit.

 

Arrests  8/4/05

      The Criminal Investigations Division of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office announced on Thursday that during an on going investigation defendant Norman R. Clouser was accused of having unlawful sexual contact with minor children over and under the age of 13.  According to investigators these incidents occurred on or around July 25,2005.  Clouser, who is from Springville,  was arrested on July 26th  and charged with 1 count of aggravated sexual battery, 1 count of sexual battery and  2 counts of solicitation of a minor child.  He is being held at the Henry County Jail under a $50,000 bond.

     Other arrests include Charles Pruett of Paris.  The arrest occurred on Irvine St. where he was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Brandi Robertson was charged in circuit court with violation of probation.

     Bandy Elliot of Arkansas is being held without bond on charges out of circuit court and general sessions court for violation of probation.

        Joseph Gaskill was held without bond and charged as a fugitive from justice out of KY and for possession of drug paraphernalia.

      Fred Brewer III of Hazel KY and Vickie Teneyely of Buchanan were arrested at Little Eagle Camp Grounds where they were each charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.   

     Michael Johnson of Buchanan was arrested at the Fish Tale Lodge and charged with theft of property over $1,000.

     A house fire is being called suspicious.  Deputies spotted the fire at an abandoned house on Jack Hill Rd. Thursday morning.  911 had the house listed as vacant.  The owner was contacted and stated that she was moving into the house and “had every thing she owned in it.” The uninsured house was a total loss.

     Vandalism to the Methodist Church in Puryear was reported to the sheriff’s office.  The cleaning lady found a stained glass window had been busted out when a rock was thrown through it.

Arrests   8/3/05

     Ramiah McDougle of Jackson was held without bond after being charged with domestic assault in the parking lot of 3Oaks Bar.

     Uneka Dillingham of Paris was arrested on N. Dale and is being held without bond for domestic assault.

     Shellie Gilliam was stopped on Hwy 79N and charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Chad Isbell of McKenzie was arrested on W. Wood St. and charged with tampering with evidence and simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug.

     Christopher Kendall of Paris was charged with violation of sentence at the probation office as was John Hill Jr. and Derek McFarland of Paris.

     Kenneth Guyton of Paris was charged with violation of probation.

     Billy Ivy was charged with violation of sentence.

     Michael Williams of Paris was arrested by the Belmont Lodge for driving on a revoked drivers license, evading arrest and violation of the open container law.

     Timothy Dunlap of Paris was arrested at court for violation of sentence.

     Sara Doom of Benton KY was arrested on warrants for failure to appear, possession of a schedule 3 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     John Webb of Paris was arrested at the Co-Op were he was charged with theft over $1,000.  He was observed about to drive off in a vehicle reported stolen from Magnolia Apts.  The ’93 Nissan was valued at $2,000.

     Dealer’s tags were reported stolen from a vehicle at AB Auto Sales.

     Vandalism was reported to a truck on Tanglewood Ln.  Damage was estimated at $1,000. 

      An aggravated burglary was also reported at the residence.  A subject was seen leaving the rear entrance as the resident entered the front.  Pry marks were found on the front door but nothing was found missing.

     Mark Bradfield of Huntingdon was charged with failure to appear.

     Lander Hutcherson of Paris was charged with violation of probation.

     Joyce Mack of Paris was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Jeremy Lamb of Paris was arrested for failure to appear.

     Victor Rich of Huntingdon was charged with failure to appear.

     Ricky Hayes was charged with violation of probation.

     Joshua Warbriton of Paris was charged with violation of probation.

     Dustin Norwood of Springville was charged with theft over $1,000 out of Carroll County.

     Gary Holt Jr. of Nashville is being held without bond for failure to appear.

     Donald Pillow, address listed at Henry County Jail, was charged as a fugitive from justice.

     Bobby Ray of Paris was charged with violation of probation.

     Steve Pierce was charged with failure to appear.

     Donald Brooks of Buchanan was arrested for a 2nd DUI, driving on a revoked driver’s license and speeding by State Trooper Monte Belew on Hwy 79N.

     Vandalism to a vehicle on Old Union Loop Rd was reported to the Sheriff’s office.  The owner said the ’99 Ford Mustang was fine when he went to bed.  The next morning there were numerous scratches, dents and marks on the body.  An estimated $14,000 in damage was done.

      Theft of a debit card was reported.  $25 had been withdrawn from the account.

     A 911 call reported that a vehicle had hit a house on Wimberley Rd. the morning of Aug. 1.  One injury was reported and the victim was transported to HCMC.

     A burglary was reported by the Salvation Army on Washington St.  The cash register had been broken into and $25 in change was taken.  Since no inventory of items was made it was impossible to know if or what else was taken.    The rear door of the store was busted in.  Tools believed to be  used to open the cash register were found lying in the store.  Fingerprints were found by investigators.

 

Arrests   Aug 1, 05

     Steve Cherry of Paris was arrested Monday morning for violation of bond restriction.

     Melinda Raodliens of Jackson is being held without bond for failure to appear.

     Cindy Cate of Paris was charged with public intoxication.

     Darren Sturdivant of Jackson was held without bond and  charged with driving without a license as well as evading arrest.  The arrest occurred when he took off running from officers who ran a check on the vehicle and found he had an outstanding warrant and did not have a driver’s license.

     Wanda Outland of Fulton TN was charged with contempt of court.

     Terry Tanner of Paris was charged with theft under $500.  According to a neighbor he had stolen the license plate off of their vehicle.

     Kevin Damma of Mayfield was arrested for a DUI by Puryear officers.

     Odell and Judy Poeter were both held without bond for domestic assault.

     Terry Foulks of Paris was arrested at the Huddle House over the weekend for underage consumption and criminal impersonation.

     Patrick Hudkins of Milan was  arrested for a 2nd DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Terry Stansberry of Kenton TN was arrested for failure to appear out of Obion County.

     Ronnie Lott of Huntingdon was charged with theft of property, assault and reckless endangerment.

     Marcus McCleanan of Springville was arrested by Drug Task Force officer Thomas Tharpe and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license and as a fugitive from justice and was held without bond.

     David Samson was charged by Tharpe with criminal impersonation.

     Donnie Hutcherson Jr. of Henry was arrested on a state warrant.

     Robbie Thomas of Paris was charged with allowing animals to run at large.

     A break in at Paris Landing General Store was reported.  A drink machine was robbed of an unknown amount of change.

     Illegal dumping was reported on Atchison Rd.  The subjects name was found in some of the trash.  He agreed to pick up the trash and charges were filed.

     Vandalism and burglary were reported to an RV in Cottage Grove.  Entry was made through a dome in the roof. 

     Aggravated burglary was reported  to the sheriff’s office.  The front door had been pushed in and a small amount of cash stolen.

     Vandalism to a vehicle on Caledonia St was reported to Paris Police.  The roof of the vehicle had been dented and a rock was used to smash out the windshield.  Just under a $1.000 damage was done.
