Arrests 4/30/08
Jeremy Buie of Henry was arrested and held without bond on warrants for violation of probation. Joel Williamson of Old Union Loop Rd. was charged with reckless endangerment. The arrest occurred when officers responded to a call of shots fired. When they arrived they learned that the Pizza Delivery man had been shot at by a neighbor when the delivery man slowed down to check the address as he drove by the Old Union Loop residence. Williamson told officers that he saw the vehicle slow down and he was having problems with break ins. Arrests 4/29/08 Ferrell Miles was arrested on Veterans Drive where he was seen speeding. When he stopped and rolled down the window marijuana was observed laying in plain view. He was charged with possession of a scheduled 6 drug and cited for speeding and violation of the excessive window tint law. Edward McCloskey of Stewart Rd. was held without bond and charged with 19 counts of aggravated assault, felony reckless endangerment and public intoxication. The arrest occurred when officers answered a call on Whitlock Rd. of a man threatening to shoot the 19 guests of a 21st birthday party at the residence. The man, who was later identified as McCloskey, said he was going to kill every one and walked off down the road. Officers searched the Whitlock area and located him on Stewart Rd shooting a gun into a pond. Found on his person were a Ruger .223, a Smith and Wesson 9mmand a Smith and Wesson .38
Arrests 4/26/08 The Henry County Sheriff's office, the Paris Police Department and the Metro Crime Unit arrested Kurt Stafford of Head St. Strafford was charged with the sale of marijuana on Wednesday. The charges stem from an investigation by the Metro Crime Unit in which Stafford sold Marijuana to under cover operatives. Arrests 4/22/08 Copper coils were stripped from air conditioning units of condos on Antioch Harbor Rd. over the weekend. A vehicle parked at the National Guard Armory on County Home Rd. was broken into and credit cards, social security card, driver's license and cell phone were stolen. A house on Eagle Nest Rd. was broken into and a roll of copper wire valued at $600 was stolen. Arrests 4/18/08 Shannon Gallion of Irvine St. was charged with Driving on a revoke driver's license and violation of probation. Two Bell City Amusement workers were arrested by Paris Police when officers received a report of 2 men fighting an one drawing blood near the fairgrounds. Jeff Blanton was the aggressor and charged with simple assault. The fight apparently started when Whitman made a remark to a waitress at the Huddle House and Blanton told the other 'carnie' not to talk like that , it gave them a bad name. Arrests 4/15/08 A hunting cabin on Ross Rd. was reported to have been broken into. Entry was made through a steel core door. The interior of the cabin had been ransacked and several items taken including a flat screen TV and several tools. Arrests 4/15/08 Randall Smith of Dale Rd. , Jeff Bradley and Heather Bradley of Hill Rd. were charged with the manufacture of meth. the promotion of the manufacture of meth. and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrests occurred when officers of the Henry County Sheriff's office and the Metro Crime Unit smelled a strong chemical odor associated with meth coming from the Dale Rd. residence. A search warrant was issued and meth in the finished stage and production stage were found. A Haz-Mat team was called in and the home quarantined. Arrests 4/14/08 Jeremy Buie of Henry was charged with promotion of the manufacture of meth, possession of a scheduled 6 drug, possession of a scheduled 3 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. William Barnhill of Shady Grove Rd. was charged with DUI. James Coleman of Forest Rd. was charged with a 2nd driving on a revoked driver's license and violation of the financial responsibility law. Maurice Lowery of Mansfield was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug. Johnathon Crosno of York St. was charged with statuary rape. Justin Miller of Tanglewood Drive was chard with violation of probation and evading arrest. The arrest occurred when officers attempted to serve a warrant for Miller who was spotted at Sonic Drive-in. He took off on foot across Hwy. 79 but officers over took him and arrested him by the Mexican restaurant.
Arrests 4/11/08 Angela Kendall of Buchanan Resort R. was Charged with evading arrest, DUI, violation of the implied consent law and simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug. The arrest occurred when Kendall attempted to evade Paris Police officers and rammed 2 patrol cars. She had been observed swerving on Hwy. 218. Kendall continued down 218 to Hwy. 69 where she briefly stopped and then continued to Hwy. 79 where officers pulled along side of her in their attempts to get her to stop, which failed. The chase went down to Shady Grove Rd., back to 79 where by ramming Kendall and cornering her, she was eventually stopped. When the driver was finally stopped she was told to turn off the car and exit the vehicle which she refused to do at which point officers used a chemical spray on Kendall. Arrests 4/10/08 Randy Haskins of Hollow Rock was charged with promotion of the manufacture of meth. Billy Wilson III was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. A vehicle parked at Pockets had several items stolen from it including prescription drugs, a Craftsman tool box and tools and sunglasses. The items were valued at over $350. The windows had been down and unlocked. Arrests 4/9/08 Robert Kettner of Illinois was charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law. Officers responded to Grove School when a teacher reported a student had medications on his person that he did not have a prescription for. Officers received a report from a Market St. business owner that metal selves, doors and other items were being stolen from him by his son. Copeland Metals had records of purchasing the items that had been valued at $10,000. Arrests 4/8/08 5 were arrested Sunday when Sheriff's Deputies attempted to make an arrest for violation of probation at a residence on Guthrie Rd. Officers could smell marijuana when the door was opened and when Officers asked, were granted permission to enter where they found the marijuana laying on a table. All 5 denied it being theirs. Arrested were Kameron Schulchardt of Guthrie Rd., David Bryant of Guthrie Rd., Thomas Lewis of Puryear, Trevor Marr of Sandra St. and Timothy Matheny of Green Valley Drive. All were charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. Paris Police responded to a call on Oliver St. in reference to a man threading to shoot everyone at the house. The man stated that he had money stolen from him and he wanted it back and would no leave until it was returned. The suspect, Frank Travis, left and began walking own Oliver St. Travis was stopped and charged with aggravated assault. Arrests 4/5/08 A mailbox was reported vandalized on Crutchfield Lane. $75 of damage was reported. A house on Hwy 54W was broken into. Entry was made by tearing out a screen in a bedroom window. The owner stated that she was in the process of moving an there was very little left in the house. Arrests 4/2/08 Cindy Reed of Marion Ln. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license. A residence on Jack Younger Ln was vandalized beyond repair. According to the sheriff's office report the house trailer was stripped of its metal siding, all the windows were busted out, all metal fixtures were taken and all electrical boxes and breaker box gone. there are no suspects at this time. Vehicle parked on Kennedy Rd. had 10 gallons of gas taken from the tank. Arrests 4/1/08 James Nored of Byrd Street was charged with public intoxication. Jessica Moore of McKenzie was charged with simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. James Gates of Greenhill Estates was charged with aggravated assault, felony evading arrest and misdemeanor evading arrest. Michael Youngblood was charged with a 2nd driving on a revoked driver's license and possession of marijuana.
