Arrests and reports from the Paris Police and the Sheriff's office will be a regular feature week days. An arrest does not signify guilt but only that law enforcement officials have probable cause to make an arrest.
Arrests 3/11/10 The Paris Police Department issued a press release which stated that a 911 call was received by dispatch on Monday morning and officers responded to the call which came from 715 Hardy St. A subject was unconscious. Officers found the dead body of Fred French inside and some items were issuing from the home. French's body was sent to Nashville for an autopsy. Named a person of interest in the case , Jefferson Freeman was stopped by police as he was walking down Veterans Drive . Found in Freeman's possession were items from French's residence. Freeman was placed under arrest and charged with theft of property over $1,000.00. The Medical Examiner in Nashville ruled the death to be a homicide and Investigator Josh Frey charged Freeman with 1st degree Murder. Helping the Paris PD in the investigation was the 24th Judicial Drug Task Force, Henry County Coroner and the TBI. Arrests 3/10/10 Lisa Heck of Camden was charged with failure o appear. Taulon Levi of N. Poplar St. was charged with simple possession. Dave Tomlin was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license. Lorenzo Strudevant of Depot St. was charged with criminal trespassing. Sayward Shores of Murphysboro was charged with illegal registration. Arrests 3/9/10 Katelyn Henson of KY was charged with underage possession and consumption of alcohol. Morandon Lawrence of KY was arrested at the 641 Club in Puryear and charged with aggravated assault. Joshua Colgate of Hwy 69N was charged with under age possession in the Henry County High School parking lot on Saturday. Corey Teague of Puryear was charged with violation of probation out of General Sessions Court. Antonio Foster of Henry was charged with filing a false report. Shawn Nioeves was charged with criminal trespassing and theft under $500. Sarah Jackson of Casey Lane was charged with violation of probation.
Arrests 3/6/10 In the monthly Sheriff's report for December it was reported that on average there were 167 prisoners per day in the Henry County Correctional facility with 51 of those state prisoners who generated $50,820.00 in revenue for the state of TN to the Henry County General Fund. The Inmate Receivables generated $2,266 and the Inmate phone rate commission generated $3,317 in revue for the month of December. The Metro Crime unit and the Henry County Sheriffs office made 34 drug arrests and seized $7,77o in cash and 2 vehicles. 4 motorists were charged with DUI and seized 1 vehicle. 810 businesses, schools and residences were checked and no doors wee found open.
Arrests 3/4/10 James Adams of Wimberley Lane was charged with initiation of the manufacture of meth process, violation of probation and evading arrest. Arrested with him was Sabrina Adams who was charged with filing a false report and the initiation of the meth manufacturing process. Mr. Adams was found hiding in a closet. He took off and ran into a neighbors yard where a barking dog led officers to his hiding place in some bushes. inside the Adams' residence equipment used in the production of meth were found sitting out on the cloths dryer. Arrests 3/3/10 Amanda Cate of Harrison St. was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 4 drug. Barbara Henry of Camden was charged with failure to appear. Zachary Price of Puryear was charged with under age possession and consumption. The theft of a gold ring with 6 diamonds from Powell Rd. was reported to the sheriff's office. Arrests 3/2/10 Ken Steele of Steele Rd. was held without bond and charged with violation of probation out of General Sessions court and on a mittimus . Kent Young of Jackson St. was charged with diving without a driver's license. Robert Lowe II of M McKenzie was charged with aggravated assault.
Arrests 2/27/10 Micah Pattford , 20, of Springville was charged as a fugitive from justice out of KY and possession of a scheduled 2 drug. Arrests 2/26/10 Michael Reinhard II, 20, of Camden, currently a student at UT Martin , was arrested on campus this Wednesday and charged with 2 counts of child rape and aggravated sexual battery. According to Weakley Co. Sheriff's office investigators Reinhard was arrested on campus and transported to the Henry Co. Correctional Facility where he is currently being held. The arrest is the result of an investigation of the Henry County Criminal Investigations Division and the TN Department of Children's Services where it is alleged that Reinhard had unlawful sexual contact with a female under the age of 13 in May of 2009 in Henry County . Arrests Timothy Morris of S. Market St. was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license and simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug. Clifford Brogdon of Gleason was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug, possession of a scheduled 2 drug and possession of a legend drug. Arrests 2/24/10 Mary Tayloe lf Brewer St. was held without bond and charged in juvenile court with contempt of court. Mark Gasolo of McKenzie was charged on an attachment and illogical possession of a weapon. Larry Watson of KY was charged with vandalism on Rowe School Rd. David Odonell of India Rd. was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license. Mark Solo was charged with possession of a weapon and altering serial numbers . The arrest was made when officers responded to a complaint of guns being fired in an unsafe manner in the area on Barham Rd. known as " the bridge." Arrests 2/23/10 Gabriel Hillsman of Huckleberry Hill Rd. was charged with evading arrest . Charles Ward of N. Market St. was charged with theft under $500 . Willie Tharpe of P9rter St. was arrested at Henry County Medical Center and charged with disorderly conduct. Georgia Willis of Milan was charged at Wal-Mart with theft/ shoplifting under $500. Ramilah McDougal of Jackson was charged with possession of a scheduled 6 drug with intent. Si Ciz of KY was arrested at Paris Landing Marina and charged with criminal trespassing. Rachel Rosser of Camden was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license and violation of the seat belt law. Penny Armstrong of Springville was charged with theft over $1,000 and under $10,000 when she was found in possession of a vehicle that had been reported stolen. The vehicle was seized by Henry Police Chief Herndon. Michael Ward of N. Market St. was charged with failure to appear. Copper wiring, a freezer and a heavy chain were reported stolen from a residence on Whitlock Rd. Arrests 2/19/10 Michael Tharpe of Lee St. was charged with evading arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. Roy Pollack of Buchanan was charged with violation of probation and illegal voter registration. Nykeisha Juneer was charged with illegal registration and illegal voting. Fulien Jenkins of N. Poplar St. was charged with illegal voting and illegal registration. Jeffery Lewis of Henry was charged with illegal voting. Denny Tharpe Harrison Ln. was charged with illegal registration. Gene Miliken of Market St. was charged with illegal registration - a class D felony. Steven Capps of Memorial Dr. was charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property over $10,000. Kevin Melton of N. Market St. was charged with possession of a scheduled 6 drug with intent and possession of drug paraphernalia. Candice Garner of Powell St. was charged with possession of a scheduled 2 drug and a scheduled 6 drug. Donna Ruffin of Memphis was charged with shoplifting at Wal-Mart. Chris Robbins of Cliffty Village was charged with illegal voting in general Sessions Court, a class D felony
Arrests 2/18/10 On Wednesday officers with the Metro Crime Unit, the Henry County Sheriff's office, the Paris Police Department and the 24th Judicial Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 237 Hwy 77. Officers received information that marijuana was being stored at the residence. Officers located approx a quarter pound of marijuana along with smoking paraphernalia and digital scales. Charged was Kevin Melton, 33, with possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Canine Striker and Kisa assisted in the search. Arrests 2/17/10 Zachary Jones of Poplar St. was charged with evading arrest. Windy Fallis of Jackson Dr. was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license. Jerry Watkins of Puryear was charged with public intoxication. Ricky Gallimore of Henry was charged with DUI and driving on a suspended driver's license. Lonnie Wainscot of Springville was charged with criminal trespassing at Wal-Mart. Martha McFadden of Springville was charged with public intoxication when neighbors complained of her standing in the yard and screaming. Brandon McCadams of Paris was charged with public intoxication and simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug. Arrests 2/16/10 Robert Smith of Chapel Hill Rd. was charged with DUI. Josh Simmons was charged with criminal trespassing. Jerry Clark Jr, of Blakemore St. was charged with carrying/possession of a weapon. William McCutchen of Yates St. was charged with caring a weapon, simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug, possession of a scheduled 3 drug. Maquinita McCutchen was charged with carrying a weapon, possession of a scheduled 2 drug, possession of a scheduled 3 drug with intent. A report of vandalism was received at the Sheriff's office. A swimming pool has been slashed over 3 times.
Arrests 2/16/10 Delores McClemon of Reynolds St. was charged with child neglect. Eric Olschewiski of Springville was charged with public intoxication. Antonio White of N. Market St. was charged with failure to appear, introduction of contraband into a penal institution and possession of a prohibited weapon. Chadwick Reynolds of Jean St. was charged with violation of probation. James McFarland of Cadiz KY was charged with violation of probation. Ricky Henderson of Harrison St. Apts. was held without bond and charged with violation of probation and failure to appear. Carol Curtis of Routon St. was charged with2 counts of violation and aggravated assault. Paris police are investigating a rape charge made over the weekend. The young 15 year old woman stated that she had been thrown out of the Poplar St. residence after she had sex with a 19 year old male and was discovered by his girlfriend.
Arrests 2/1310 Willie Tharp of Mansfield was charged with public intoxication on N. Poplar St. Anderson Jackson of Brewer St. was charged with violation of probation and 2 counts of sale of a scheduled 2 drug. David Cook of Hidden Acres was charged with public drunk. Paris Police responded to a roll over accident at the intersection of Tyson Ave. and Mineral Wells Ave. The victim was airlifted to Vanderbilt. Paris Fire Department responded to a house fire on Edgewood St. The fire started in the back of the house. No injuries were reported. Arrests 2/12/10 On Thursday officers with the Metro Crime Unit, Henry County Sheriff's Office. the Paris Police Department and the 24th Judicial Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 2317 Lone Oak Rd., lot 8, in Paris. Offices had received ind0rmation of marijuana being stored and sold at the residence. After executing a search warrant the officers did find marijuana bagged for resale. Charged was Dex Dexter Haynes, 19 black male, with possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver. Also arrested was a white female, Heather Brunette, 23, of E. Washington St. During the search she was found to be in illegal possession of hydrocodin pills and was charged with possession of a scheduled 2 controlled substance. Arrests 2/10/10 On Tuesday Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew issued a press release that stated the Sheriff's office had received a 911 call from a residence on Jim Merrell Rd. where a subject was attempting to steal a motorcycle from the porch. The victim caught the would be thief and along with Lt. Stan Pinson, chased him into a pasture following his tacks in the snow. Sgt. Lester Riggins, Puryear Police Chief Dale Paschall and TWRA Officer Clay Riley followed the tail which led them to a second residence on Jim Merrell Rd where the suspect, Steven Capps was found and arrested on chares of criminal attempt to commit theft. Teresa Gehle of Henry was charged with 3 counts of possession of a scheduled 4 drug and possession of a scheduled 2 drug. Arrests 2/2/10 Marshell Nance of Bell Ave. was charged with aggravated assault. Antonio Sassudale of Henry was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. Richard Nelson of Rison St was charged with Domestic assault.
Misty Townsend of Brewer St. was charged with simple assault. Cheryl Kapler of Hardy St. was charged with vandalism, a class E felony. Christopher Kendall of Dresden was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license. Rodger Pollock of Christine St. was charged with introduction of drugs into the jail, possession of legend drugs .public intoxication and theft of medication. A Coleman Generator was stolen from the back of a truck in Springville. The owner left the truck in the driveway and when he returned the generator, valued at $1,000 was gone.
Arrests 2/1/10 In the Sheriff's monthly report which runs a month behind, it was reported that the Metro Crime Unit and the Sheriff's department made 17 drug arrests and seized 1 vehicle. 4 motorist were charged with DUI and seized 2 vehicles. Arrests 1/30/10 In the Sheriff's monthly report for November Sheriff Belew reported that there were an average of 175 prisoners in the Henry County Correctional facility per day . 52 of the prisoners were state prisoners generating $ 50,225.00 in revenue for the Henry County General fund. The Inmate Receivables generated $3,031 in revenue and Inmate telephone commissions generated $3,260 in revenue for the General fund for the month. Arrests 1/29/10 Dwight Tharp of Depot St. was charge with possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of scheduled 6 drug and domestic assault. James Carter of Harrison St. was charged with domestic assault. Lisa Heck of Camden was charged with violation of probation. Alice Bailey of Powell St. was charged with violation of probation. An aggravated burglary was reported on Blackberry Ln. $365 worth of items were reported stolen including a DVD player, DVDs and 2 game controllers. Arrests 1/28/10 Donald Dolliver II of Camden was stopped on Greer St. and charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug with intent and driving on a suspended driver's license. Marcus Jones of Harrison St, was charged with aggravated domestic assault. Brandi Jackson of Camden was charged at the Henry County Correctional facility with violation of probation. Marshall Hutcherson of Irvine St. was charged with domestic assault. George Easley of Macedonia Rd. was charged with failure to appear. Brian Kendall and Amy Pettigrew both of Spirit Lane were arrested on N. Poplar St. Amy was charged with possession of a scheduled 4 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brian was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license and speeding. He was clocked doing 50mph in a 30 mph zone.
Arrests 1/27/10 A 4-wheeler was found missing from Shady Grove Rd. The fence had been cut in several places and the gas tank had been filled. Found at the scene were wire A gas drive off was reported at the Tackle Box on Hwy 79. The driver paid for $10 and then pumped $70. A car was found parked on property on Hwy 77. The car contained a computer that was not reported stolen. Also found in the vehicle were several duffel bags, bolt cutters, and walkie-talkies. K-9 Striker hit on the car's glove box. The property owner would not allow the glove box to be searched stating that the car was not his. When officers explained that since vehicle was on his property it was up to him to give permission, to search the glove box, which he refused to give. The vehicle came back as owned by an individual with a long record of drinking offenses and driving violations including habitual offender.
Arrests 1/26/10 Justin Israel of Munford TN was charged with DUI on Hwy 79N. James Mayo of Powell St. was charged with violation of Community supervision. Arrests 1/25/10 On January 21, 2010 Officers with the Paris Police, Department, Metro Crime Unit, Henry County Sheriff's Department, and the 24th Judicial Task Force conducted a search warrant at 706 Memorial Drive Lot #51. During the search a large amount of marijuana was located by K-9 Striker and Deputy Ricky Wade. There were also various pieces of drug paraphernalia located. John Michael Davis 02-18-1980 was arrested and charged with possession of sch. VI with intent, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and simple possession of Schedule III. Officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the home based on information provided by Patrolman Jamie James of the Paris Police Department. There was also approx. $218.00 seized as probable drug proceeds Pictured are Jeremy Whitaker and Jamie James of the Police Department. Gabriela Abernathy of Camden was stopped on Hwy 641 and charged with driving on a revoked driver's license. Rachel Young of Elisabeth Rd. was held without bond and charged with violation of probation. Matthew Krupierrzak of Chickasaw. Rd was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. Jordan Henry was arrested on a warrant for theft of property. Mary Scott of Smith Heights Rd. was stopped on E. Wood St. and charged with driving on a suspended driver's license. Arrests 1/23/10 Theft of medications from a residence on Old Union Loop was reported. The bottle of Hydrocodone was full. There are no suspects. Vandalism to a vehicle on Porto Switch Rd. was reported to police. The tires had been slashed. Arrests 1/22/10 Thomas McSwain of Camden was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 3 drug, driving without a driver's license, violation of the implied consent law. Kimberly Snead of Greenvalley Dr. was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license. Arrests 1/21/10 Richard Leese of Dover was arrested on Macedonia Rd, and charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law. Leese drove his truck off the road and into a yard. Deputies discovered that Leese was a Clarksville police officer when he allowed his badge to be seen when he was asked for his driver's license. When asked if he had been drinking he said he had 4 beers and stated, when asked, if he thought it was safe to drive after drinking 4 beers, it was not. He also failed several field sobriety tests. Arrests 1/20/10 Joshua French of Camden was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug, possession of stolen property, unlawful possession of a weapon, violation of an order of protection. Christopher Roberson of Dyersburg was charged with writing worthless checks. Joshua Harrison of Old McKenzie Hwy. was charged with domestic assault. Christina Allen of Poplar St. was charged with criminal impersonation. Gene Milikin of Brewer St. was charged with public intoxication. James Fields of Camden was charged with domestic assault. A break in at a residence on Dale Cemetery Rd. in Buchanan was reported. Stolen were 5 guns. Entry was made through a window. Theft of a lap top and a printer were reported from a Puryear residence. A report at the sheriffs office was filed by the National Guard which sated that Aaron Meredith was discharged but did not return $500 of equipment that belonged to the Guard. Vandalism over $500 was reported at Paris Manor Nursing Home. Windows and a glass door were broken out.
-Arrests 1/16/10 On Jan. 14 a local law enforcement officer received a misdirected text messaging from a suspect who was attempting to purchase illegal drugs. Officers arranged a transaction with the suspect at a determined time and place, Jennifer Flowers and Sarah Cole showed up at the location with intentions of purchasing ill eagle drugs. Officers did arrange the purchase of the illegal drugs. They also searched the vehicle the suspects were driving and found drug paraphernalia. Officers charged Flowers with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal attempt to possess marijuana. Cole was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal attempt to possess a scheduled 2 controlled substance and criminal attempt to possess marijuana. The Henry County Sheriff's office, the Paris Police Department, the Metro Crime Unit and the 24th Judicial Drug Task Force were involved in the investigation. David Williams, Jason Tyler of Elm St. and Gary Baker of N. Market St. were charged with manufacture of meth. Jennifer Flowers of Big Sandy was arrested in Ogburn Park and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and attempt to obtain a scheduled 6 drug. Richard Lamus of Hwy 54W was charged with sexual battery by an authority figure. Heather Garrett of Cottage Grove was charged with forgery. Sarah Cole of Grove Rd. was arrested in Ogburn Park and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal attempt to obtain a scheduled 2 drug and marijuana. Timothy Davis of Royal Oak Rd. was charged with domestic assault and criminal impersonation. Ken Steele of Steele Rd. was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Randall Conner of N. Porter St. was charged with violation of probation. Hunter Dail of Dresden was charged with violation of probation. Keith Bomar of Poplar St. was charged as a fugitive from justice. Arrests 1/15/10 Richard Lanius, 42, of Ill. was charged with domestic assault. Arrests 1/13/10 Kelby McCermkin of Henry was charged with failure to appear out of Carroll County. Hubert Kelly of Kent Rd. was charged with assault. An aggravated burglary occurred over the weekend. Residents returned to the Shady Grove Rd. home to find d items from the vehicle parked in the driveway missing including a purse, digital camera and a wallet. A TV, DVD player, DVDs and a compound bow were stolen from a residece on Antioch Rd.. Arrests 1/12/10 Cynthia Hesley of Springville was charged with violation and held without bond. Keith Bomer of N. Poplar St. was held without bond and charged with violation of probation. Dustin Clayton of Cottage Grove was arrested at Hwy 69N and Rison St. charged with 6 counts of forgery and violation of the open container law. Kenneth List of Hwy 641N was held without bond and charged with violation of probation . Georgia Bishop of Tn. was charged with violation of probation. Joshua Martin of Puryear was driving on a suspended driver's license. Brandon Medcalf of Chickasaw Rd. was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license. Arrests 1/9/10 Donnie Mathis was arrested on Manly St and charged with aggravated criminal trespassing. He allegedly kicked in the door when he was not admitted into the residence. Tony Boyel was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license and non-payment of child support on Washington St. Lisa Ventreice of Springville was charged with driving without a driver's license aeter she ran off the road and hit a utility pole, driving up the guide wire and flipping the car. She told officers she had reached down to change the radio. Arrests 1/6/10
According to a press release at the Henry County sheriff’s members of the Paris Police department, Henry County Sheriff’s office, and 24th Judicial Drug Task Force searched a room of a local motel where Adam Lampkins was renting the room. Officers found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and Xanax. Lampkins was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of schedule 4 with intent to sell or deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lampkins was arrested earlier this weekend when he attempted to buy a gun in Buchanan and it ad it was discovered he was wanted for grand theft auto in Florida.
Greg Eaton of McKenzie was charged with DUI by consent when he allowed a friend who was drunk to drive his vehicle. Adam Lampkins of Lone Oak Rd was charged with grand theft auto out of Florida. he was caught when he attempted to buy a gun and the charges out of Florida were found. Harold Hutchinson of Hwy 79N was charged with 2 counts of child abuse and reckless driving after several incidents this weekend. A press release from the Department of Safety reported that the number of traffic fatalities over the Christmas and New Year holiday had declined with only 2 deaths reported, down from 9 last year. The THP conducted over 100 sobriety check points in the state.
