Arrests  4/28/06

     Jerry Phippen 0f Sycamore Ln. was arrested on Chickasaw and charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property over $500.

     Britton Gream of Old McKenzie Hwy was arrested for a felony evading arrest and reckless driving.  The arrest occurred when Gream was observed by Deputies on Celotex Rd.  with a group of youths.  The officers were later told that the youths had cone to that spot to observe a fight that was suppose to occur.    When the officers announced themselves most of the youths jumped in their cars and sped off.  Gream attempted to speed off and charged the police vehicle causing the deputy to do some evasive driving to avoid being hit by Gream.  He was followed home by the deputies and placed under arrest.

     $550 worth of guns were stolen from a Blood River Church Rd.

 

Arrests   4/27/06

     On April 24th Henry County Sheriff’s office CID arrested29 year old Joe Evans.  He was charged with breaking into 6 homes in Henry Co.  Jewelry, medications and cash were taken from the homes.  Evans has been charged by the Carroll County Sheriff’s office with the same type of offences and were working on several burglaries that Evans was a suspect in.  Evans is charged with aggravated burglary on all six homes and with theft of property from 5 homes.

     On April 24th the sheriff’s office also received a call from a contractor working on a home in the Buchanan area.  The contractor stated that he had observed a white male leaving a home that he was working on.  The subject had attempted to shield his face.  The contractor approached the home and could see where forced entry had been made.  The vehicle description he provided matched a vehicle that officers had been watching for related to recent home burglaries that had occurred in Carroll Co.  The light blue Ford truck was spotted by Director Lowe in the area of the Dollar General Store in the lake area.  The vehicle was located at a residence on Hilltop Drive where Evans was arrested without incident.

     Property from the burglary was recovered at the scene along with property from another burglary that had occurred just minutes after the first, but had not been discovered or reported at a Shady Grove Rd. residence.  Jewelry and medications had been taken from the home.

     Arrests on Wednesday included Troy Nolen of McCampbell St. on 2 counts of capias.

     Tony Stepp of Reynoldsburg Rd. was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Thomas Teague of Harrison Ln. was charged in General Sessions Court with failure to appear.

     Darinda Hensley of Oak Heights was held without bond for violation of probation.

     Roberto Lepiscope of Old Paris Murray Rd. was arrested on Rison St. for public intoxication, simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and simple possession of a scheduled 3 drug.

      Phillip Bomar of Camden was arrested on Porter St  on a warrant for theft of property.

     Michael Springer of Atwood TN was charged in General Sessions Court with failure to appear.

     Jimmy Hardin of Camden was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license and failure to appear.

 

Arrests   4/26/06

     The Criminal Investigation Division of the Henry County Sheriff’s office has drawn arrest warrants for 14 people under the new TN Meth Act law. 

     Director Dmon Lowe and Investigator Scott Wyrick of the Henry County CID have drawn warrants on the 14 individuals and have charged them with promotion to manufacture meth.   All have bonds set at $5,000 each.  The out of county warrants have been sent to the appropriate counties. 

     These charges were filed after 3 months of tracking and documenting records of persons purchasing ingredients used to produce meth.     Of the 14 people wanted, only 3 are from Henry County.  The remainder are from surrounding counties.    According to CID individuals will travel outside their county to buy pseudoephedrine, a main ingredient used to produce meth.  Anyone purchasing these pills or pills containing pseudo must sign a register.  This law tends to send persons out of their hometown to do their buying in hopes of going unnoticed.

     Other arrests included Joe Evans Jr. of Knoxville was arrested on Hilltop Rd for aggravated burglary.  He was arrested at a Shady Grove Rd. residence where he broke in the door and stole jewelry valued at $200.

     Terrell Cowan of Williams St. was arrested on Market St. and charged with a felony evading arrest, driving on a suspended driver’s license and on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Timothy Crabtree of Springville was arrested by the THP where he was charged as an accessory after the fact, leaving the scene and duty to render aid.

     Emma Hillard of Powell St. was charged with violation of parole and held without bond.

     Lisa Kearby of Wilson ST was charged with possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Sheriff’s deputies answered a call of a break in on Oak Dr.  The resident returned home from a business trip and found that someone had been living in the trailer.  Candles, containers of water and other items were in the trailer.  There was no service to the residence and the vandals had been using a large trashcan as a toilet.  An estimated $1500 of vandalism and damage was done to the property.

 

Arrests   4/25/06

     Timothy Coleman of Puryear was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Cynthia Himes of Huntington was charged with failure to appear.

     Philip Crawford of Mansfield was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Jessie Brinkley of Tanglewood Lane was charged on Saturday with simple assault.

     Brian Long of Caledonia St. was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation out of circuit court.

     Calvin Latimer was arrested Sunday for a 7th DUI and driving on a revoked driver’s license.  The arrest occurred at Bull Durham  Rd and E. Antioch Rd. where deputies observed him driving down the middle of the road.  When stopped he smelled strongly f alcohol and failed fiend sobriety tests.  Beer was also found in the vehicle.

     Tires and rims were reported stolen from a vehicle while it was parked at an auto body shop in the Paris area.

     2 lawn mowers valued at $800 were reported stolen from a business on the 218 By-Pass.

     7 Lab puppies were reported stolen from a kennel in the back yard of a Guthrie Rd. residence. 

     A 16 X 16 swimming dock and bridge valued at $10,000 were reported stolen from lakefront property on Cypress Point Ln.

 

Arrests    4/22/06

     Israel Olive of Brown St. and Eric LeRue of Louisville KY were arrested on Brown St.  Olive was charged with filing a false report and LeRue was charged with public intoxication and criminal impersonation.

     Robert Cannon of Mansfield was held without bond for violation of an order of protection.

     Darren Walton of Southside TN was charged at the jail with failure to appear.

     Phyllis Griffith of E Wood St. was arrested for criminal trespassing.

     Ronald Webb of Sproul Heights was charged with aggravated burglary, possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia.

     A weed eater was reported stolen from a garage on Old Union Rd.

     Theft of lawn tools, gas and gas can, a tire and wheels from a trailer and cash given to the subject to purchase a new wheel and tire were reported to the Sheriff’s office.  The victim stated that the subject was hired to do lawn work and given money to purchase a new tire and wheel but never returned to the Lone Oak Rd residence.

     A complaint of public indecency was filed with the sheriff’s office.  The victim stated that as she drove over the Paris Landing Bridge with her young children in the car a vehicle came along side of her.  A white male pulled down his pants, exposing his genitals.  A search of the area did not locate a vehicle matching the description given by the victim.

 

Arrests   4/21/06

     James Lane of Edgewood St was placed on a hold without bond for violation of sentence and simple possession of a scheduled 4 drug.

     Ashley Walls of Washington Court was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Shaun Coumbe was charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     Wesley Cook of Murray was held without bond for violation of an order of protection.

     A burglary was reported at a residence on Harmon Cemetery Rd.  Taken were a shotgun, a rifle and scope, and a survival knife.  Entry was made by busting the glass out of a backdoor.  The gun cabinet had been broken into and drawers gone through.  No jewelry, jars of change or other valuables were disturbed.  The intruders had left behind a ball cap.

 

Arrests   4/20/06

     Dallas Myers of N Wilson St, who is currently in jail, was charged Tuesday with violation of probation.

     Charles Hall of Pt. Pleasant Rd., who is also in jail, was charged with violation of probation.

     Charles Williams of Willow Oaks Dr. was charged out of General Sessions Court with failure to appear.

     Deputies responded to a complaint of a car missing.  The vehicle, valued at $1,000 was later recovered by Paris Police.  The complainant stated that her daughter, Rebecca Ruddell and the girl’s boyfriend were going to the store and had not returned the vehicle.  An arrest was made.

     4 cows were reported in a garden on Red Top Hill Rd.  The resident stated that this was the 2nd time he had to replant his garden due to the cows.

     A well water tank and pump were reported stolen from Clayton Town Rd.  The parts, valued at $1,000 were stolen while the resident was out of town.

 

Arrests  4/19/06

     Emmitt Jones of Jones Bend Rd.Ext. was charged in court with violation of probation.

     Albert Hutchinson of Bell Ave. was arrested on an attachment for contempt.

     A wallet containing $35 in cash, a visa card and driver’s license were reported stolen from a residence in Springville.

     A report of 2  cows ‘gone missing’   was received at the sheriff’s office.  The owner said they were not in his field and when he went into the neighbor’s field to look for them the neighbor told him to leave and not to trespass.  The owner told deputies that he considered it theft since he could not look for the cows.  The cows later turned up back at home before a theft of cow claim could be filed.

 

Arrests  4/18/06

     Aaron Meredith of Old McKenzie Hwy was held without bond for domestic assault and driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Scott Miller of N Poplar was arrested for aggravated assault.

     Mandy Robinson of Springville was charged with simple assault

     David Amrhein of Clarksville was arrested on Cooper St.  for simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug, possession of a scheduled 2drug with intent to sell or manufacture and possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was held without bond on the class B felony.  Arrested with Amrhein was John Fukes also of Clarksville.  He was also held without bond on a class B felony for possession of a scheduled 2 drug with intent and possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a driver’s license and criminal impersonation.

     Also arrested over the weekend was Joshua Scribner of Curtis St. who was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Phillip Bomar of Camden was charged with theft under $500.

     Andrea Shannon of Russell St. was charged with domestic assault.

     Saturday Jacob Fitzgerald of Murray was arrested on Hwy 69N and charged with a 4th driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     Patrick Sullivan and Amber Goodman, both of Puryear were held without bond and charged with domestic assault.

     Bryan Long of Caledonia St was charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, criminal trespassing and resisting arrest.

     Robert Hargrove of Murray was arrested for a 2nd driving on a suspended driver’s license, a 2nd DUI and violation of probation.

     A 4 wheeler taken to Polaris Landing to have a broken ignition switch fixed was found to have been stolen from Michigan.

     A 22, a rifle, scope and $50 in cash were reported stolen from a Canon Store Rd. residence.

     Vandalism was reported to several mailboxes on Forrest Dr.

 

Arrests   4/15/06

     Tonya Wallace of Henry was arrested at Knight’s Inn on a warrant for violation of probation, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession.

     Kimberly and Hans Chrisp of Spirit Ln. were held without bond for domestic assault.

     Lisa Slutzman of Lincoln St. was arrested at Eaker’s Café and held without bond for aggravated domestic assault.

     Identity heft was reported to the Henry County Sheriff’s office.  The victim stated that 2 years ago he had lost his wallet while in Nashville.  The wallat contained his driver’s license and other personal information.  He applied for a new  license and received one.  The past week when he went to renew his licenses he was told it had been suspended.  A check with the Department of Safety showed that it had been issued to the same name, same address same info but the picture was of a different person.

 

Arrests   4/14/06

     On April 11th officers from the Henry County Sheriff’s office executed a search warrant at 2351 Stewart Rd., the home of Margarito Rodriguez.  During the search officers found marijuana, smoking pipes, scales and other assorted drug paraphernalia.  Also found and seized were numerous weapons ranging from handguns to an SKS assault rifle.  All of the weapons were loaded or had ammo in the magazines.  Investigators have reason to believe Rodriguez is involved in the export of weapons and drugs from TN.  Officers found weapons and drugs sealed up together in what appeared to be a package ready to be exported.  Henry County Criminal Investigation Division does have active warrants on Rodriguez for possession of marijuana with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of weapons with the serial numbers removed.  There are also active warrants out of the state of IL charging Rodriguez for trafficking maraj, gun running and illegal sale of firearms.  Rodriguez has not been arrested but is wanted by local authorities.  He has been entered into the NCIC and if anyone knows whereabouts they are asked to contact investigators with the Henry County CID.  Rodriguez is a 34-year-old Hispanic 6foot male, weighing 290 pounds who could be armed.  

     Other arrests include Brandy Norris of Tanglewood Dr. and Amy Crenshaw of Buchanan who were arrested by Special Agent Thomas Tharpe and charged with simple possession of marijuana on Old Paris Murray Rd. and Carlos Ln. Wednesday afternoon.

     Joshua Harris of Routon St. was arrested on a warrant for assault.

     Dallas Myers Jr. of Wilson St. was charged with domestic assault.

     Cynthia Bush of Hwy 140S was arrested by Investigator Scott Wyrick and charged with promotion of the manufacture of meth, possession of a scheduled 2 drug with intent, possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Arrests   4/13/06

      David Johnson Jr. of Washington St. was charged with theft of property.

     Russell Johnson of Bells TN was arrested on a felony evading arrest, reckless endangerment and driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     On Tuesday deputies arrested Charles Carter III of Harrison St. at 79N and W. Antioch for speeding (88 in a 65mph zone), driving without a driver’s license, driving on a suspended driver’s license and simple possession of a scheduled 4 drug.

     Terrell Counn of Washington St. was charged with a misd. Theft of property and evading arrest.

     Eddie Carpenter of Henry was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Keenan Kendall of White St. was held without bond for contempt in juvenile court.

     Bill Elkins of Buchanan was held without bond for failure to appear, domestic assault and violation of probation.

     Pamela Kendall of Robertson St.  was held without bond on a capais for violation of sentence.

     Jonathan Dengler of Magnolia St. was charged in court with violation of probation.

 

Arrests   4/12/06

     Jordan Ivey of Nashville was charged in court with failure to appear.

     Joyce Sparks of St. Louis was charged in general sessions court with failure to appear.

     Matthew Speacer of Old Paris Murray Rd. was charged at the jail with theft of property, a felony, and held with out bond.

     Jack Nicholson of Cornerstone Dr. was charged with 2 counts of violation of the check law out of Benton County.

     Gabriel Nolan of Clarksville was arrested at the probation office and charged with failure to appear.

     Jeremy Tipton of Florida and Brandon Dominguez, 20 years old, of Van Dyke Rd.  were arrested on Wood St. by Patrolman Jamie Myrick .  Tipton was charged with simple possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.  Brandon was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

     Andrew Snorwden of Big Sandy was charged with failure to appear.

     Alejanoro Garga of Mississippi was arrested on Brewer St. for public intoxication.

     An aggravated burglary was reported at a residence on Hwy 140E over several weeks.  The 1st time the residence was broken into fishing poles worth $150 were taken, along with a battery charger and a digital camera valued at $225.  The thief returned about a week later and stole a VCR/DVD combo and collectible coins valued at $500.  No forced entry was found.

     A bicycle was found in the weeds behind the dumpster at Servall Restoration on Tyson Ave.  The bike fit the description of one reported stolen to Paris Police.

 

Arrests   4/11/06

     Jeremy Allison of Reynoldsburg Rd. was held without bond for domestic assult.

     Lorenzo Sturdvant of Wynn St was held without bond Saturday for failure to appear to do a jail sentence.

     Kishtine Matlock was charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law.

     Richard Butler of Jaggers Lane was charged with public drunk.

     Ronald Samples of Jeffery’s Cove was arrested for public intoxication.

     Cortino Allen of Cherry Street was arrested at the Spider’s Webb as a fugative from justice out of KY.

     Jonathan Dengler of E Magnolia St was arrested on Depot St. and charged  with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Christopher Powers of McKenzie was arrested on Brewer St. Sunday and charged with DUI.

     Kimberly Tedder of McKenzie was charged with a 2nd driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     Jose Salgado of Murray was charged with public intoxication by the 641 Club.

     Michelle Gregory of Patton St. was charged with domestic assault.

     Ricki Aucher of Manley along with Nicholas Blaylock of Buchanan were arrested Sunday at Super D and charged with theft of property over $500.

     Jeffery Freeman of Hardy St. was charged with domestic violence.

     Brian Abbott of Bruceton was arrested on Old McKenzie Hwy and charged with public intoxication.

     Scott Bradley of Mcintosh Rd. was charged with violation of probation.

     Gary Sager of Morton St. was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

     Derek Thompson of Henderson Dr. was charged on Saturday with disorderly conduct and evading arrest.

     Shaun Ruley of County Home Rd. was charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license.

     Stephen Fitzgerald of Mandalay Rd. was arrested for domestic assault.

     Late Friday Ricky Higgs of Manley St. was charged with simple possession of a scheduled 2 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia

     Audrey Young of Paris was arrested on Friday evening and charged with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug and simple possession of a scheduled r drug.

     Theft of a cell phone valued at $200 was reported.  According to the victim the phone had been taken from her desk at work in the National Guard Armory.

 

Arrests   4/7/96

    Two computers taken by auditors in a recent audit of the Henry County Sheriff’s office were returned Friday.  According to County Mayor Brent Greer the request for the equipment was a part of audit process.  Sheriff David Bumpus was unavailable for comment and Chief Deputy Randy Gene had no comment.

     Holly Mullins of McKenzie was charged with failure to appear.

 Randal Claxton of Terrace Woods Motel was charged with theft of property over $10,000.

     Andrew Eliott of Hwy 69N was charged at Henry County High School with simple possession of a scheduled 6 drug.

     Eron Kinley of Paris was charged with violation of probation.

 

Arrests   4/7/06

      James Conger Jr. of Buchanan was held without bond for domestic assault.

     Joel Evans of Knoxville was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation out of circuit court.

     Eli Thompson of Memorial Dr. was arrested at McClain Trailer Park for criminal trespassing.

     Timothy Dunlap of Crestview Manor was arrested on a mittimus for possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell.

     Helena Richardson of Buchanan was arrested at Wal-Mart for theft of property under $500.

    A 4-wheeler went through the marking lot of CNE Enterprises slinging gravel and did $450 worth of damage to a van parked there.

 

Arrests   4/6/06

     Paula Hudson of Big Sandy was charged with DUI and Failure to yield.

     The Sheriff’s office received a report of a cow in the middle of the road on Shady Grove Rd.  

     An accident with injuries was reported on69A near Had A Call Grocery.

 

Arrests  4/5/06

     Kendall Hurt of Dunlap St. was charged with theft of property over $500.

     J.L. Evans of Hwy 218 was arrested for aggravated assault.

     Amber Leaach of Henry was charged with domestic assault.

     Billy Johnson of Martin was held without bond and charged with failure to appear to do a jail sentence.

     John Childers of Paris was charged with violation of probation.

     James Salmon of Puryear was arrested on Ogburn St. for driving on a suspended driver’s license.

     A Trolinger’s employee found his vehicle being broken into on the back parking lot of the business.  A white male was taking a stereo box, valued at $400 to $500 from the vehicle.  The thief saw the employee and took off in a vehicle, joined by a white female of around the same age.  The male was described as in his late teen or early twenties with brown hair, the girl was described as having dark blond hair.

     Theft of a push lawn mower was reported from a yard on Poplar St.

     A 2-vehicle accident was reported at the corner of Whitlock Rd. and Paris Whitlock Rd.

 

Arests   4/4/06

     Gene Wilfred of Puryear was arrested at Henry County Medical Center and held without bond on charges of domestic assault, aggravated assault and possession of a prohibited weapon.

     Michelle Cox of Whispering Pine Rd. was charged with failure to appear.

     Randy Travis of Camden was charged with violation of probation out of general sessions court.

     April Woods of Vaughn Rd. was charged with violation of probation.

     Michael Swor of Crutchfield Ln. was arrested on Powell St for violation of probation.

     Thomas VanMierlo of Springville was charged by special agent Thomas Tharpe with simple possession of marijuana.

     Aaron Larkin of Reynolds St. was charged as a fugitive from justice.

     Christy Lamb of Norman Rd. was held without bond on charges of tampering with evidence, simple possession, resisting arrest and on a warrant for failure to appear.

     George Holder of Aden St. was held without bond for domestic assault.

     James Tharpe of Brown St. was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear and an attachment out of Benton Co.

     Natia Taylor of Caldwell St was arrested at Harrison Meadows and charged with criminal trespassing.

     Kenneth Roach of Murray was stopped on Hwy 69N and charged with DUI.

     Jackie Bercier of Curtis St was arrested on E. Washington St. and charged with criminal trespassing.

 

Arrests   4/1/06

     Casey Bates of Henry was charged with failure to appear.

     Elizabeth Smothers of Murray was arrested on 641N by Puryear Police Chief Paschall and charged with aggravated assault.

     Sandra Thompson of Collage St. was charged with aggravated burglary.

     Keenan Kendall of White St. was held without bond on a capias.

     Taecica Snider of Wynn St. was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation.

     Kenneth Hararale of Roberts St. was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
